After kicking off our series of Big Numbers articles with a look at the best performing Defenders over the first three Gameweeks, we now move further up the pitch. This time round we focus on midfielders, with a trio of summer signings all showing plenty of promise in their new surroundings.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I get he scored twice but the first was on a plate and the second was a stretched defence, nothing special. Having said that he will be in my team soon...

based on Jones's previous reactions i'm guessing it looked like a character at the ending of a out of Edgar Allan Poe novel

    Glass half full….

Welbeck another good performance in an England short

Rooney led the team well and had a decent game

I'm even going to stick up for Andy Townsend…..

At 6.9 Welbeck for Arsenal is a bit silly to turn down. Even if he isn't prolific.

    Can spend the money elsewhere

    Which one would you bench?
    A) Lamela
    B) Silva
    C) Ramsey
    D) Siggy
    E) Naismith

Yeah, I just know that yet again he will get points on my bench and one of my midfielders won't.

At least he is making me money!

I'm still not convinced about Lamela. Inconspicuous against Liverpool

It is between Lamela and Naismith. I feel Lamela could be frustrating to own. Have a great game and then have a couple of quiet ones.

I'll be benching Siggy this week and playing Naismith, could regret it but I dont like when I have players playing against my defenders..Could end badly I know!

So jovetic to Welbeck looks like the transfer of the week..
Reckon Eriksen to Fabregas worth the hit for the second or just leave eriksen in?

Not happy with Jones picking up an injury - thats now Jones, Hazard, Costa, Jovetic injured/flagged, with Duff and Mata superceded by other signings.

Just had a look at your team, Your bench is alright to bring someone on for De Jong this week, so don't take a hit losing him. Jones didn't look too serious. Sturridge > Aguero/Falcao/Balotelli/Adebayor for -4 only thing that looks necessary. Got to learn not to make early transfers though man, really no need with a load of games with your players involved in and especially with how slow risers are this year.

I've asked this before (so not bandwagoning with Welbeck), but would you do:

Terry, Ramsey, Rooney and Dzeko -> Azpicuelta (or other 6.0), Di Maria, Welbeck and Aguero

            for a WC?

              • 12 Years

No. I think that's three downgrades to get Aguero in, who has two tough fixtures next.

That doesn't look too bad at all, and certainly not template.

It would be hard to kick Ramsey out. Last season he was a gem and only £6.0m. Now at £9.1m, he has to come under tougher scrutiny.
