The final instalment in our series of Big Numbers articles focussing on Gameweeks 1-3 is rolled out this evening. After assessing the fortunes of defenders and midfielders, we now turn our attentions to the men up front – Chelsea and Southampton’s summer signings come under assessment, as do Everton’s in-form budget striker and the contrasting fortunes of a pair of Manchester-based front men.

            no

            http://www.bbc.com/news/business-29140959

Net income fell 84% for the year to 30 June to £23.8m, down from £146m a year ago.

Manchester United said that was due in part to last year's profit being boosted by a one-off tax credit, without which it would have made a loss.

The club, majority-owned by the American Glazer family, said revenue increased 19% to £433.2m in the 2013-14 financial year, thanks to improved TV and sponsorship deals.

However, that is now predicted to fall to between £385m and £395m.

Similarly, underlying profits were £130.1m for the year to 30 June and that is now forecast to fall to between £90m and £95m.

    Work permit issues

There is a chance that Falcao will not be available to make his debut against QPR on Sunday as the 28-year-old is yet to gain international clearance to play in England. Every non-EU player must go through a process to gain a work permit and the process is yet to be complete.

    Sterling Ramsey Cesc Siggy (Henderson)

    Costa Rooney Naismith

Waiting to see how Falcao plays in the next 1/2 gameweeks, if he's good, he's in for Rooney

Captain this week: Costa if fit, if not Sterling

I like it. Though I'm not a fan of Henderson. Maybe get some SOU in def?

Yeah i'd say Henderson is probably the weak link but i can see him picking up assists every now and then and maybe even a cheeky goal.. I'll probably shift him out during my WC but for now i think i'll keep him. SOU defence sounds good but no FT left, + next weeks FT could well be Rooney > Falcao

For you Fifa guys, are they still using the TNS in career mode? God it's awful

I think FIFA in general is awful. I'm hoping that FIFA 15 on PS4 is good and that it's just the fact that the PS3 can't handle the game that I can attribute the awfulness to.

I was talking about FIFA 14 on PS3. It's dreadful. Rubberbanding, bugs, gameplay suffers immensely from the smallest amount of lag.

I'm hoping some of these gripes are down to the processing power of the PS3 and that FIFA 14 was just a stopgap until FIFA 15 came out.

FIFA 14 was indeed terrible, but I've just been playing FIFA 15 on the ps3 and it was good IMO.

    Need some advice.

    My team is:

    Courtois, Green,

    ShawX, Moreno, Naylor, Alderweireld, Moore
    Fabregas, ADM, Eriksen, Rodwell, Boyd
    Falcao, Balotelli, Jovetic

    Should I do:

    ShawX to Wilson
    Courtois to Mignolet
    Jovetic to Diouf / Ulloa

and invest 3,6 mio extra in midfield?

Surprised that I am virtually alone in sticking with Mata for one more week. Nothing has suggested he won't play bar pure speculation, he's got good scoring record recently and he's at home vs QPR. I understand why some would shift him but not the overwhelming majority

The crowd is impatient I guess. Don't have him but would def keep for qpr at least. Good luck !

LVG has done nothing but praise him.

I know Rooney is the captain, but LVG goes for results and throws caution and tradition to the wind.

Rooney is not our best striker nor our best #10 and I'd rather see Januzaj wide than him. I could see Rooney being sold next season and him being the one to drop out eventually.

This week though I expect both Rooney and Mata to start.

Does Aguero have the capacity to play Arsenal, Bayern and Chelsea in one week without getting injured? I'm not too sure...

😀 On the one hand he is a player I love, but on the other he is in a team that haven't been creating chances... it's certainly an option. I'd prefer to keep Sturridge... 🙁

I'm not worried at all about United. At all.

Realistically it may be one week too early for Falcao..

On a scale of 1-10, how crazy would I be to transfer in di Maria and (c) him?

      6

Scaled down from 10 because they are playing QPR. 😉
