The final instalment in our series of Big Numbers articles focussing on Gameweeks 1-3 is rolled out this evening. After assessing the fortunes of defenders and midfielders, we now turn our attentions to the men up front – Chelsea and Southampton’s summer signings come under assessment, as do Everton’s in-form budget striker and the contrasting fortunes of a pair of Manchester-based front men.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Personally don't really rate Stoke defense, but could see the appeal.

If looking to spend 5.0 on a keeper I'd double on soton and get Forster. Should suit you pretty well until the January wildcard.

Get Forster in and swap one of the Soton boys for Pieters. More attacking intent than those two and you still double up on Soton

Naismith is a poor choice imo. Yes, he scored in all 3 games so far, but he will soon regress. He hasn't scored more than 5 goals for Everton in one season. Probably the price is what attracts you, but when he regress you'll need a few transfers to upgrade him.

He hasn't been a regular started before now though. I think he's a good pick for the next two fixtures and not a bad option after that if you want to rotate him with a cheapish midfielder (such as Henderson who he rotates home and away with). Main issue will be his nailedonness when Barkley returns.

Slightly OT but the FIFA 15 demo is really quite good. I've never liked playing the AI before but have enjoyed my 6 or 7 games so far.

Being able to "demo" a Prem/Ligue 1 hybrid with Ibra, Kun etc. is FUT is bloody wonderful 🙂

Yep, shooting also seems a lot harder, long shots sailing wide 9 times out of 10. Hopefully this will stop the silly 6-5 score lines in every FUT game.

I think the FUT match engine is generally flawed. It's pacing is very arcade-like and that's what leads to the goals, imo.

I wouldnt say so. Every chance Pelle rocks with just 1 up top after being outnumbered in midfield in the com shield.

    A) Keep Jones in

    B) Replace Jones with 1FT ---> Moreno / Clyne / Other?

Foster will either start or not play at all but I'd play Krul anyway.

Nice one Milanista, went with Sturridge --> Balotelli this week 😆 Aguero can wait with his next two fixtures

Taken a hit this week. But does this look alright for the weekend?

    Begovic
    Jones Clyne PVA
    Fabregas Sterling Ramsey Siggy
    Costa Rooney Naismith

    Gilks; Davis, Wisdom, Naylor

Know there is a few injury worries but hope that it is covered and they aren't injured...

For demi or any other United fans:

IF United now switch over to a 4-4-2 diamond, why did he make them play 3-5-2 which totally screwed their defense over? He said it was because he didn't have good enough wingers.. wouldn't lack of good wingers make it more sensible to go 4-4-2 diamond from the start?? Then he could have played 2 CBs instead of putting in an extra sub-par CB..

      I don't like the forwards.

I started with double United for the LvG effect - they didn't deserve it otherwise, even with the fixtures. Now, to keep Rooney in a WC team, fixtures still great, but...

Just realized how good my team is...I can have that + 0.9 in the bank 😀
But I'm currently keeping the WC for a crisis situation + I have 9 home games this gameweek.

6/10 because of Naismith, no Di Maria and Ramsey, and poor keepers choice.
