Gameweek 4 comes to its conclusion this evening as Hull play host to West Ham at the KC. It’s one of those occasions where a goalless draw may best serve Fantasy managers – neither team has a midfielder or attacker with over 3% ownership in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, a clear sign of our lack of faith in their respective attacks.

The team news is in and sees Steve Bruce make two changes from the side that lost to Villa last time around. New boys Mo Diame and Abel Hernandez both come into the starting XI at the expense of Tom Ince and Paul McShane, while fellow deadline-day signings Hatem Ben Arfa and Gaston Ramirez are afforded a place on the bench. James Chester is also amongst the subs as the Tigers boss opts for a four-man backline.

Sam Allardyce makes a trio of alterations to his first-team. Guy Demel comes in for Joey O’Brien at right-back, while summer signings Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia get the nod as Carlton Cole and Ricardo vaz Te drop to the bench. Carl Jenkinson recovers from injury to be named amongst the subs along with new boys Alex Song and Morgan Amalfitano.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    RMT please, I have £1.5m

    DDG, Gilks
    Cahill, O'Shea, Wilson, Chester, Coloccini
    Ramsey, King, Henderson, Erikson, Siggy
    Rooney, Balotelli, Costa

    A: Cahill -> Clyne
    B: A + Henderson -> Sterling (-4)
    C: A + B + Balotelli -> Pelle (-8)
    D: A + B + C + Erikson -> Fabregas (-12)

    I like B, looks like a fairly natural upgrade.

    Evening guys! Am i looking good for GW1?

    Leno (Moya)
    Jedvaj, Danilo, Balenziaga (Mbemba, Denswil)
    Bale, Cesc, Gotze, Calhanoglu, Brahimi
    Costa, Messi (Alvarez)

    Little bit low in defence, but the 3 i have will be group stage keepers i think and i won't be subbing in any of the others, and i think they will all start.

    Slim margins this game...I was impressed with Rojo yesterday...Up for set pieces and looked pretty damned good doing it. That was Rojo who was just under that cross that went in for DiMaria...had he touched it he would be in an awful lot of RMT's today.

    1. rickardinho
      • 11 Years
      11 years, 3 months ago

      He's card-prone and it remains to be seen how he does defensively (because let's face it, he wasn't tested defensively 1v1 or on set pieces a single time), but yes one of his appeals is that he does attack corners well.

      1. Dr Dream
        • 13 Years

        Looked very good doing that in the WC...I think he was top for chances at one point amongst defenders...

    Sterling is surprisingly the 4th most sold player today according to the TFPL NTI's (-5000).

    He was only rested because he had been training with the dinosaur owl for a week so that won't happen often. In any case it just goes to show how fickle fantasy owners can be as he's still tremendous value at 8.8 compared to Hazard and Sanchez for example.

      It's decent, but you might want to consider:
      Whether you should double up on Gunners given their tough fixtures (maybe Ramsey > ADM OR Welbeck > Pelle?)
      Benching dilemma with that front 8 if Zaha catches form - maybe it's better to downgrade him?
      GK: I own Krul too, but wouldn't be including him in a WC draft if I were choosing now

      Good luck

    So, are we assuming that Chester is 'terminal' or just tactical for this game? Or rested due to international game?

    1. Darth

      Terminal unless they switch back to a back 3

      1. Darth
        • 14 Years
        11 years, 3 months ago

        Yeah I was thinking Mirrallas but he's just so inconsistent.

      • 12 Years
      11 years, 3 months ago

      Pretty terminal I'd say. All those mids they've brought in, plus a top striker to pair with Jelavic.... more likely to play 4 at the back to fit them all in.

    2. Ludo
      • 12 Years
      11 years, 3 months ago

      Looks like Dawson/Davies is the favourite pairing if they're playing with a back four. You'd imagine Chester would come back in with a back three, but no guarantees if and when Bruce will do that.

  24. Darth

          Good point. I suppose it's enough of a risk just owning him. I think Sterling is as good a choice as any this week, plenty calling him a captaincy option a few days ago, nothing's changed that, will surely start vs West Ham.
