European football ravages Saturday’s programme, leaving us with just half a dozen encounters. The day’s events start with what, on paper, looks a tepid affair: Stoke pay visit to Loftus Road to meet with Harry Redknapp’s newly promoted QPR.

Let’s not dress this up – Fantasy managers are likely to have little or no interest in this one. Having been disappointed by the impact of Bojan after his pre-season hype, we’ve steered clear of Mark Hughes’ Potters, bar skipper Ryan Shawcross who has a place in almost 15% of Fantasy Premier League lineups. As for the R’s, only defender Steven Caulker can boast respectable ownership – indicating that a classic 0-0 stalemate will be the result of choice for many.

The early kick-off takes us into four afternoon clashes, before the day is rounded off with Liverpool’s trip to Upton Park at tea-time. As always, you can look to our Twitter feed for lineup news on that one and all today’s matches.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

          Did not realize that. Makes sense as the season goes on, just a bit surprised Costa is already there.

      At least I got a goal and a CS out of Caulker, reckon he'll be spending the next 2-3 GWs on my bench

        Same here. I might sell him over Yoshi this week, if Yoshi keeps his place.

      What's the deal with Alderweireld? Will he play next week? I have Yoshida.

        @SouthamptonFC 9m
        Speaking after naming his team, @RonaldKoeman revealed that a minor hamstring issue is the reason for @AlderweireldTob’s absence

        Does this also mean that Alexis can't start from the bench? Hmm, injured in warm up? Just had diarrhoea?

      Hopefully people now realise how bad caulker really is. No wonder no big clubs want him. Got away with it with a few good displays in "televised" games last season

        Think he could do better if he didn't have a partner who runs like he's got a wardrobe strapped to his back
