The Dugout Discussion – QPR vs Stoke

European football ravages Saturday’s programme, leaving us with just half a dozen encounters. The day’s events start with what, on paper, looks a tepid affair: Stoke pay visit to Loftus Road to meet with Harry Redknapp’s newly promoted QPR.

Let’s not dress this up – Fantasy managers are likely to have little or no interest in this one. Having been disappointed by the impact of Bojan after his pre-season hype, we’ve steered clear of Mark Hughes’ Potters, bar skipper Ryan Shawcross who has a place in almost 15% of Fantasy Premier League lineups. As for the R’s, only defender Steven Caulker can boast respectable ownership – indicating that a classic 0-0 stalemate will be the result of choice for many.

The early kick-off takes us into four afternoon clashes, before the day is rounded off with Liverpool’s trip to Upton Park at tea-time. As always, you can look to our Twitter feed for lineup news on that one and all today’s matches.

    DO people prefer to have 6 top MIDs/FWDs with two lessers to rotate (if yes, which two players?), or to have 7 top MIDs/FWDs with one very cheap bench fodder (if yes, which one player?)?

    I've found myself in the latter position, and am thinking of bringing in Marney, which will leave me with 2.9 in the bank - rather that than spending an extra 1.0-1.5 to get in someone better, but still likely to be benched every week.

      One sitting on the bench. I've found that if you rotate you end up with points on the bench, and your own hidsight saying "why did I bench him???"

      Early this season people were talking about a Bojan Siggurdsson rotation, look how well that would have gone.
