We delve into the Gameweek 5 data this evening in our first members article of the week. Wayne Rooney’s new role for United comes under analysis, as do Burnley and Leicester’s displays up front, whilst a couple of north London-based frontmen are also placed under the microscope after their contrasting weekend performances.
-
Team for GW6
Forster
Bertrand - Van A - Trippier
Fabs - Sterlz - Siggy - Di Maria
Ballo - Costa - Ulloa
What you think lads?
1.1 in bank but 0FT
Anything need changing for a -4 hit?-
Was thinking same - v similar. Gut says leave welbeck out til gw8 and save the 4 pts
-
-
Bias and optimism is tempting me towards siggy --> downing. Maybe in a few weeks...
-
Nope. Don't do that. Siggy will be back.
-
This
-
GW 10 perhaps
-
-
-
Remember all that worrying in pre-season about Sigurdsson playing out wide?
-
Yes...
-
Yes, Swansea's pre-season form didn't help things 🙂
-
Indeed. Much better with one upfront
-
Indeed. Didnt help that Monk was talking up the 4-4-2 either!
-
Routledge and Dyer are so much better in those roles rather than wingers in a 4-4-2, great on the counter
-
-
-
-
Want to do Terry>Baines in GW8. Any moves that are needed before then? Possibly Krul or Chester out? Could I get stung for not owning Di Maria?
1FT £1m ITB
Krul (Gilks)
Naylor Terry Bertrand (Chester Moore)
Sigurdsson Ramsey Fabregas Sterling (Marney)
Costa Pelle Rooney -
Ulloa or pelle?
-
Pelle imo
-
Pelle long term, Ulloa for rise & form
-
both
-
-
Who will score more goals next gameweeks
A) balo (great fixtures)
B) falcao
C) rooney
Allready have balo-
B
-
C, more points
-
I'm thinking Balo
-
-
Current front line: costa pelle BALO
Balo to:
A welbeck
B falcao
C aguero (involving moreno to duff/chembers)
B keep balo for the next two-
I'm in a similar boat. Would expect Balo to outscore both Welbeck and Falcao over the next two. C probably depends on whether you have other issues in your squad and therefore if the 2 transfers could be better used elsewhere.
-
-
-
Thanks, didnt notice your other comment there... 🙂
Welbeck is a must but after two gws... Not sure if I want him straight away.
With the extra cash could get a che defender maybe
-
-
-
-
Squad in good shape, Evans the only problem. 2FTs.
a) Evans -> Chambers/Van Aanholt and Balo->Agüero
b) just Evans -> Chambers/PVA and sit on the 2.4m to get Baines in for GW8.-
b with Balo > Kun
-
so a) then? 🙂
-
Evans out this GW, bring Kun next
-
-
-
-
GW8 onwards, who becomes the priority?
Baines or Aguero?-
Aguero obv.
-
both!
-
Both babe
-
-
Wow, Downing's stats looks good! http://www.squawka.com/comparison-matrix#premier_league/2014/2015/gylfi_sigurdsson/126/126/863/46/p|premier_league/2014/2015/cesc_fàbregas/126/126/306/0/p|premier_league/2014/2015/stewart_downing/126/126/78/49/p#assists/chances_created/key_passes/goals_scored/total_shots/successful_take_ons#total
-
Already picked him up! Hoping he runs Man U's D as ragged as Vardy did. West Ham have been pretty impressive in the offensive 3rd, which says a lot for a Big Sam team
-
-
Play Caulker, Duff or Moore?
Krul
Ivanovic / Clyne / Caulker
Di María / Siggy / Fábregas / Ramsey / Sterling
Costa (c) / Pellè (vc)
Gilks / Naismith / Duff / Moore-
Duff
-
i think duff
-
Duffy easily
-
Cheers!
-
-
lamela , pva , zaha . who to play this week ?
-
Lamela for the NLD
-
-
Never done one of these, so I'll just go for it. This is for Gw8 btw, god forbid I lose more TV!
RMWCT
Mannone
Baines | Clyne | Duff
AdM | Fab | Sterling | Siggy
Costa | Aguero | Welbeck
Bench: McCarthy, Moore. Wisdom, Boyd-
looks good
-
Cheers 🙂
-
-
Get Lukaku instead of Baines
-
I like that actually, Chambers in then?
-
i wouldn't. welbeck vs lukaku is a 50/50 shout. both have great fixtures, but welbeck is cheaper. baines vs chambers is a no brainer as baines is on pens and is almost guaranteed to get at least one over the course of those games.
-
-
-
-
What do you think?
*Who to captain?
*Any Transfer to do?
*Lineup like this?
Mannone
Ivanovic --- Clyne --- Wisdom
Hazard --- Sterling --- ADM --- Siggy
Costa --- Rooney --- Naismith
Subs: Krul, PVA, Dummet, JWP-
Hazard --> Fabregas
Naismith --> Ulloa
Captain Costa
Good to go-
id just do the naismith to ulloa if u can afford it
-
-
-
Wish I didn't have to WC so early on 🙁 Just screwed around making a new team and it's perfect but would cost me -28 to make lol
-
I think now is quite a good time. go for it.
-
-28? I'd be crucified if I told everyone I actually did that
-
If you're confident in the team you want and you land up hitting 80/90 points, then 80-28 is still not a bad score plus you have a great team? Depends on your confidence though 😉 Good luck.
-
-
-
-
Guys, I'm torn between saving my transfer and wildcarding! What do you reckon?
Begovic
Lovren Bertrand Duff
Fabregas Ramsey siggy sterling
Naismith Costa rooney
Guzan Henderson cdavies Coloccini-
Don't see any reason you'd need to WC
-
Naismith to ulloa?
Ramsey to adm?
Siggy to herrera?-
Naismith transfer is good but the rest aren't necessary. I'm a Spurs fan and worry Rambo will tear us apart the way we've been playing. Siggy was away to CHE and got screwed by Bony red. He'll be back
-
-
-
-
is my WC good to go
Forster (McCarthy)
Baines, Clyne, Chambers (Wisdom, Duff)
Fabregas, Di Maria, Sterling, Siggy (Boyd)
Costa, Rooney, Ulloa
leave 0.7 in the bank -
Which three to play out of these:
Clyne, PVA, Naylor, Wisdom, Duff-
Clyne, Duff, Naylor
-
-
C.Kouyate will be out for 6 weeks. He will probably miss 5 games and might be available for Aston Villa at home 8 nov. dg
https://twitter.com/davidgold/status/514145948428419072-
bad news for downing perhaps
-
Has the game of his life against Liverpool and misses the game against United. Sound.
-
Indeed. 😉
-
-
🙁
-
So Downing will play DM now? I was planning to get him currently on WC
-
Why will he be DM ?
-
Don't be an idiot. Poyet will come in.
-
What position does Poyet play, is he attack or defence minded?
-
More defensive than offensive.
-
He is a grunt with a good pass. An apprentice Noble.
-
Cheers both
-
-
-
-
to partner song maybe
where doosra when you need him......-
Here! 😀
-
-
-
Massive blow
-
Don't know why Allardyce didn't sub him off when he was struggling, you don't mess with groin injuries.
-
He went down, got back up, and went back down again, Allardyce should have taken him off as soon as he went down the 2nd time
-
by that stage weren't they out of subs?
-
Yes. Should have taken him off first time. Easy with hindsight of course.
-
-
-
-
-
Oh that's a shocker...Wham looking so good but they really are a bit threadbare in depth..
-
-
Gutting. Time for Poyet to step up perhaps. Looked very classy pre season.
-
who?
-
come on ,son of the manager-qualitteeeee
but not experienced-big sam will be very careful with him
-
-
Back in Nov earliest and then away in Jan for ACON 🙁
-
really sad -was looking forward to a bit of blowing bubbles
-
-
Aguero & Boyd > Ulloa & Di Maria for -4 pt hit?
-
Aguero out for a hit, now I've seen it all!
-
you've seen it all?
Aguero currently is non-essnetial.....di maria is fast becoming essential.
I am currently sat in top 45k-
if you ship aguero ahead of their run of fixtures you will soon be lower on the rankings. i would find a way to fit them both in if you consider di maria essential.
-
and to ship aguer for a hit is madness
-
-
-
aguero should do well this weekend id give him another week at least
-
-
Have a cold already. The abysmal weather is coming up.
-
🙁
-
-
Those Siggy stats are a tad concerning 🙁
-
I'm wondering about this... Is he becoming worse?
-
Doesn't get the full expression in the current line up.
-
Not concerning at all imo. Away to Chelsea then a red card for his team the following fixture. Give him 2-3 more to deliver otherwise consider shifting.
-
-
-
Keep for the next two then reassess over the break.
-
Stats are deceiving when they're not interpreted correctly.
-
What stats? He had 10 men and was unlucky not to assist...
-
I assume you can't read the above article but the stats were based on the last 3 games not just the last game.
-
-
I could imagine a shift to 4 big mids and one big fwd (Costa) if it carries on.
-
Eg
4 of Di Maria, Cesc, Haz, Ramsey, Sterling, Sanchez
Costa
2 of Welbeck, Pelle, Ulloa, Naismith-
ADM, Cesc, Ramsey, Sterling
Pelloa -
No way Ramsey, I'm holding Siggy for the next couple of decent fixtures but planning my exit to be replaced by Walcott.
-
-
-
Swansea had 2 great chances in the game before the red card and he would of assisted both if the finishing was better
-
-
Which two to go with Costa; Welbeck, Pelle or Ulloa?
-
Pelloa
-
Costa & Ulloa
-
Pellbeck
-
-
Going to work now, so I'll post it one last time, vote for me 😉
http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/comment/8364752-
Sarj - I'm sorry, don't like the team. 🙁
-
Do you think the 100+ who voted for you all liked yours, Doosra? 😉
No offence intended, obviously.-
I never read the teams personally, just vote for the posters I like most.
-
😯
-
I voted for you. 😛
-
You are very kind - thank you. 🙂
-
-
-
-
Well, they sure didn't like me, Demi. 🙂
-
-
-
-
Keep or get rid of Shaw?
-
Get rid. Why would you want him?
-
Why do you have him in the first place?
-
-
Should I play Duff (wba) or Naylor (sun)?
-
BUR: wba 26
SWA: sun 55-
What do the numbers mean?
-
Swansea have a better fixture. By my ticker.
-
Oh I see
-
you made this ticker? where is it?
-
On my desktop. :-0
-
Email me, if you want a copy.
-
-
-
-
Higher the number, better the fixture on his season ticker I think.
-
Yeppers.
-
-
-
What's this?
-
Naylor.
-
Right, thanks 😀
-
-
-
-
Naylor
-
-
Best 4.5 keeper?
-
Have one free transfer, any of these sensible?
A) Naismith to ulloa / vardy
B) Ramsey to adm
C) siggy to herrera-
A and B both are
-
-
Advice please what to do:
2 FTs. Nil in bank
Begovic (Elliott)
Moreno. Pva. Bertrand. (Moore. Hutton)
Chadli. Hazard. Sterling. Di Maria. (Boyd)
Aguero. Costa. Welbeck
A. Moreno to someone
B. Pva to Chanbers
C. Hazard to Cesc
D. Aguero to Falcao
E. Use both FT for something. What?
F. Just use FT on changing Elliott or Moore?!
G. Let one FT go to waste?!-
Let it go to waste.
It's the ultimate rock n roll move of fantasy premier league. Next to winning the whole thing it's the best thing you can do. -
Moreno to Clyne
-
Not feeling a double up on saints defenders !
-
-
-
Which 2 of Moore (cpl), Naylor (sun) and Naismith (liv)?
-
Last 2
-
The latter 2
-
Nnn ...
-
So u think Moore can't keep another CS? Sunderland scored on their every home game (vs United and Tottenham, btw)
-
Leicester have the worst defensive stats in the league I believe.
-
Still got faith in them. They kept CS vs Stoke away, and now it's Palace 😀
-
-
Less about that more about the fact that i;d never play a defender over a striker, the striker has far more upside, so for me it's Naylor v Moore
I'd pick Naylor for that one
