Our Monday afternoon regular is rolled out once again, as we scour the Premier League treatment rooms to assess the players who picked up injuries over the weekend action.

Arsenal
Aaron Ramsey (hamstring), Mikel Arteta (calf) and Jack Wilshere (ankle) were all forced off during Saturday evening’s north London derby. After the match, Arsene Wenger admitted he was somewhat surprised by the Welshman’s withdrawal as central midfield concerns mount up:

“Wilshere, if you look at the incident again, has been tackled and turned his ankle over. Ramsey is a concern that he did his hamstring. I don’t understand because he had a good rest this week, I didn’t play him against Southampton on Tuesday night. It’s a surprise because he’s usually a resistant boy.”

Burnley
According to reports, Lukas Jutkiewicz appeared to pick up a knock in the 4-0 rout at Burnley before being replaced on 67 minutes.

Everton
Kevin Mirallas was stretchered off with a hamstring injury just half an hour into the weekend Merseyside derby. After the match, Roberto Martinez went on to day:

“It seems bad. It’s a hamstring. We’re going to assess him in the next 24 hours. Kevin has been in great form and we’ve got a lot of games coming up. It’s very unfortunate for us.”

Reports today, though, suggest Mirallas could be out for up to a month with the problem.

Man United
Ander Herrera limped out of United’s narrow win over West Ham after sustaining a back problem.

QPR
Sandro was forced off early during the first-half of the R’s defeat at St Mary’s after a clash of heads with Sadio Mane.

Southampton
Florin Gardos missed the weekend win over QPR with a slight calf strain, according to the club’s official Twitter feed.

Tottenham
Goalscorer Nacer Chadli and left-back Danny Rose both limped off with injuries during the north London derby, according to the Tottenham official match report.

West Brom
Baggies left-back Sebastian Pocognoli was subbed off in the latter stages of yesterday’s 4-0 win over Burnley through injury.

West Ham
Mark Noble missed out on the weekend defeat at Old Trafford after picking up a calf injury in training the day before.

          I am getting City's Argentinian non-donkey

If Berahino can keep his place he could be an option, cheap, nice fixtures and I think he's on pens

exactly, should never have got myself into that mess, but it worked out in the end as I kept Chadli. If I got Berahino I'd play him every week, but atm I'm not getting him.

That was why I got Boyd.

              I just looked at Sakho/Ulloa.

Difficult with Sakho missing most games at the start.

One more creative, one bigger goal threat. Not much in it.

              I haven't looked at Enner.

I was thinking give Herrera a crack at it!

Mata is a pseudo-forward, which is hard to pull off when you have RVP and Falcoa already in all the best spaces.

I usually say that you pay 50% capital gains tax, rounded up.

Trouble with my explanation is that it's predicated on understanding how capital gains tax works.

    2. Whattheheck!
      • 12 Years
      11 years, 6 months ago

You buy a player for their buying price. If the player rises in value the increase is only half rounded down. So for example if you bought Fabregas at 9m and he went up to 9.7m you would sell him for 9.3m. If he went down to 8.7m you would sell him for 8.7m. Clear as mud?

If you buy a player at 9m, sell him at 9.6m, you get 9.3m for him.
      They always round down though.

If Begovic keeps a clean sheet, scores a goal, saves a penalty and gets 3bps, he will be the highest scoring player this GW

      No.

http://www.fplstatistics.co.uk is probably closest for risers.

    Ramsey > ADM
    Rooney > Ulloa
    (4 points)

    Would leave me with...

    Krul (Foster)
    C.Davies / Moore / Terry (Bertrand / Hutton)
ADM / Sigurdsson / Fabregas / Sterling (Albrighton)
    Ulloa / Costa / Pelle

Other option is wait and see on Sturridge's fitness. Thoughts?

    HAZARD/ROONEY > TADIC/AGUERO worth a -4 ?

Personally I would do Ramsey -> Tadic and then Rooney -> Aguero/Sturridge

I'm turning out a decent-ish team each week, but my bench is absolutely awful (i.e. I pretty much haven't got one), yet I still can't bring myself to play the WC.

    Krul
    Terry - Clyne - Chambers
    Fabregas - Sterling - ADM - Siggy
Costa - Rooney Replacement - Ulloa

    Green - Jones - Chester - King

What do you reckon? Should I:

    A) Take a -4 hit to ensure a playing sub
    B) Just replace Rooney and cross my fingers I get 11 playing (I should do, although it would include Chambers at Chelsea)
    C) Play the WC?

Does any1 consider Milner in for City? I dont have any City cover, so I consider him as my 5th defender. As Nasri is injured, expected back in november, he surely will play regularly?

Fab, Siggy, ADM, Sterling, Boyd as my current midfield. I have enough money for Boyd to Milner this GW.

Milner will still generally be behind Silva and Navas in the pecking order, although yes he probably will get some playing time.

      I wouldn't get him personally.

He has played the last 270 minutes tho, without getting subbed out. And Navas only started 1 game this season. Maybe this is the differential City player 🙂

Where do you find out if players are going up or down in prise? If its on totalfpl, then I don't understand. Assaidi has been on the list for so long now as well as the rest of the player...

Is Di Maria really worth 9.9? On my wildcard and dont need to upgrade anywhere else but just feel i have only got him because i can afford him. Suppose i can hop back on to Ramsey or even Walcott in a few weeks.

9.9 seems a lot tho though.
