The last 2 weeks I've done my transfers early and as a result I've slid from 15k - 70k.

Need to take my time, there will always be options regardless of budget.

I've done transfers early too in an effort to build team value, as later in the season having $$$ is critical. Have slid by taking some hits, but saved WC for the eventual double gameweeks.

You'll have time to get back up the rankings ... long season

Just because its so tight at the moment. -4 means so much.
I would infect save the FT if yo are thinking that. Moreno is probably 50/50 to get a clean.

Really struggling this season and tempted to use the wildcard now only thing preventing me is that I like my front 7. Team is:

    Krul/Foster
JT, Chambers*, Pieters*, Naylor, Coloccini (I know)
    Sterling, Tadic, Fab, Siggy, Marney*
    Aguero, Costa, Pelle

0 itb, 1 ft and currently sliding into oblivious at 550K. The defense is a shambles, just wondering if it warrants a wildcard?

i wouldn't use the wildcard. Would do the following to shore up the defense over the next few weeks

      1) Colo > Hutton
      2) Chambers > Duff
      3) JT > Baines
      4) Krul > Guzan

Rest of the team looks good imo

To WC or not to WC?

I'll be honest, it's mainly to jump on ADM before he hurts my rank further. I'd also take the chance to optimise a few other parts of the team, e.g. look at Baines, Wanyama>Boyd, drop Moreno/Chester, sort GKs.

    Krul (Foster)
    Bertrand, Moreno, Chambers, (Moore, Chester)
    Siggy, Fabregas, Silva, Sterling, (Wanyama)
    Costa, Aguero, Pelle

    Many thanks in advance!

i'd hold off on the WC. There will be a point in time you really need it. I'd look to replace Moreno with Duff and use the extra funds to move Silva to ADM. Think you'll have enough $$$ rest of team looks pretty good.

Thanks for the replies. After much thought I think I'm gonna hold off on ADM. He's just had the best fixtures he's got for a while and it smells of chasing points. I think I'd rather keep my 4 points (or WC) and trust in Silva (fixtures) and Fab (form so far).

Think I may simply use my FT to get Chester out to avoid playing Moore away next week.

      Thanks for the advice.

Was just thinking - with the teams being so similar this year if it stays like this say around gw 15 am i right in saying it will be harder to move up in rank and also to fall in rank significantly?

If so it would be paramount to get off to a good start and maintain a good rank up until halfway point othrwise would be very difficult to say go from 50k to 10k.

    Am i making sense? :/

Doesn't sound unreasonable, but there are always things that come along and blow up the template. By Christmas there will be plenty new players who are 'essential' and someone like Pelle might look silly.

I've been with Trigger all along on this one. Thanks to the new price system we're already only really cheering our differntials. This normally doesn't happen till post Jan, for me it's been the case since GW3. Bit of an anti-climax when your just cheering defenders coz the rest is template

But it wasnt so easy in getting the same players last season. This season managers can wait an extra 2-3 gws before bringing in a form player and his price wont be out of reach. Last year you had yo jump on yaya and ramsey wagons early.

Siggy thi season for example so easy to get in. All you have to do is downgrade a defender And on top of that cheap defenders are doing well

Yep. Will be good for players who are high up in rank albeit a bit boring.

Lets hope the template gets burst wide open in jan. Also fpl towers should really revert back to the old price system. This a complete fail.

I honestly like the new price system. Perhaps not for most on here, but it gives other players a much better crack. My brother, who is a very good FPL player, pretty much religiously makes his transfers on a friday night. This year he is doing much better than ever before, simply down to the fact that people like Clyne, Fabregas etc. haven't raced away from his budget earlier in the week. Makes it so much more competitive.

Hazard, Yaya, Silva, Sanchez, Walcott, Falcao, RVP, Sturridge, Balotelli etc could all break up the established order if they start scoring regularly.

Not a fan of Sanchez, otherwise good. I'd consider Downing ... bit of a punt ... and use the extra funds on a Baines or 3rd quality striker. Think Baines will come alive now that fixtures improve somewhat. He's like another midfielder.

My TV actually lost 0.2 when I traded Ulloa>Welbeck because of losing half the gain on Ulloa. Makes me really hesitant to replace the good players who i got cheaply and have been performing reasonably well.

    Chambers

Currently own him but starting to wonder if he is worth the bother.
I dont mind the suspension , but his continual string of yellow cards is rather
annoying. Its obvious hes not much of a full back and can only stop players going past him by fouling them.
Arsenal have good fixtures but starting to wonder if i should look elsewhere

Have two frees and nothing much to do with them so need to use one

It might be a bit premature due to fixtures, but if you have a FT to use and don't like Chambers then Robertson is a worthy replacement at the same price. The lad is unlucky not to have assisted more with all the good crosses he swings in. He has 3 YC's though, and has got 0 or 1 most games apart from 7 against QPR and 13 against Palace. I think he should have scored more though.

If you can work him into a rotation i think he's worth a look. Ideally only after gw15 though.

At that price level I think it is difficult to find a player at that price with that level of potential due to fixtures so I would hold.

Sorry to hijack your post r.e. Chambers Triggerlips but i replied to your post on who to drop from your front 7 to bring in Baines but the page had moved on ( not very quick on this technology, posting on forums malarkey).....anyway i digress, do you not think Sterling to Chadli could work in your quest for the scouse left back? Chadli seems consistent enough to rival Sterling for points and you get Baines in for his good run of fixtures?

Whilst i agree that pools fixtures are pretty good they and Sterling inparticular have hardly been pulling up trees of late and yes with Sturridge back Sterling could return to form but Baines also has good fixtures and could indeed rival or surpass Sterlings output in the coming weeks.

I'm participating in a draft in the next 10 days, and was just thinking about what the top 10 picks should be (although I have pick 18/20, and 3/20 in the next round). The first two have already been picked, but here's my guess:

    1. Costa
    2. Di Maria
    3. Aguero
    4. Hazard
    5. Sturridge
    6. Falcao
    7. Sanchez
    8. Sterling
    9. RVP
    10. Walcott

    Do you agree with that?

I did a little mock-draft on excel, and I think having a pick around 12-15 is the best place. There's a drop-off after 15 in the A-listers, and then again another drop after around 28-30. Having 18, 23, isn't so bad but I'd have loved to be 3 spots higher.

I'm really hoping a Walcott, Ramsey, Fabregas falls to me at 18, and that I can get someone like Baines or Siggy at 23. Unlikely though.

While both true, ten goals conceded in seven games tells a story, as does the constant frustration of owning a Liverpool defender.

Of all the sides in the elite defence bracket, Liverpool are the ones who will constantly let you down when you expect a "guaranteed" clean sheet. Can't see it changing any time soon.

Better shipping out and not worrying about.

Imo a frontline of Costa-Pelle-Welbeck is the best you can have for the next 4 GW's.

Aguero will have must-win CL games, and should be rested for 2/4 games coming up, the exceptions being against Spurs and United.

Just trying to garner some opinions. Looking to oust Ramsey for a striker in my draft game. Baring in mind that I have Walcott, who would you offer Ramsey for from the following?....

    A) Welbeck
    B) Dzeko
    C) Lukaku

These are the options available to me.

    Thanks for guidance...

Losing Ramsey is a heavy price to pay. You should be looking at the tier above this lot, as there's only about 12-14 players better value than Ramsey. My 1st rule will be that the one who gets the better player always wins the trade, and I don't think you would win the trade with any of those 3.

    Bego_4.0
    Cahill Bertrand Kaboul Colo Wisdom
    Fab Sterling Siggy Tadic Marney
    Costa Kun Ulloa
    1.4 ITB

Wanted to bring in Baines for Cahill but that looks not logical at all this morning, Chelsea finally getting CS? 10 points on last 2 games while Baines got 4 points and Everton leaking goals.
