By the way, out of Clyne and Bertrand, who do you see as having the most attacking potential? Or just which do you view as a better pick? I may end up with both, but it's one or the other for next week.

Bertrand edges the stats last time I checked and could have assisted today with better finishing from Mané. I don't have him though as I climbed on the Clyne-wagon before his price rises.

Suppose ADM is showing that previous stats can be misleading.

His assist rate was typically pointed to as all he excels at yet I think we are seeing a different ADM. A player who doesn't have to pass to Ronaldo or Bale or any other "galactico" on his team whenever they request the ball.

I think in some ways he is showing some character, not easy being turfed out of a club that you wanted to stay at having put in an epic season. Looks to me like he's making the most of it.

You could well be right but I believe there were two other shots, one he fluffed and the other was the FK that went close. Actually he had another FK that went close as well now that I think of it.

Reasonable enough counterpoint. I suppose it could be an age/maturity thing.

Hard to imagine that he'll only finish on 5 or 6 goals now (assuming fitness etc. isn't a factor.)

Agree. He's playing with the swagger of a no. 7. So direct as well, just 3 things on his mind when he gets the ball- shoot, cross or run pass people.

I have a similar issue, it'd have to be downgrading one of the mids or Aguero.

Don't fancy doing either so I'm not bringing him in personally.

Downgrade Sterling to a 6.5 or less, maybe Downing or someone and upgrade Chambers to Baines.

Which is better? on a WC

    Adrian ( Foster)

Baines Bertrand N Taylor ( Wisdom, Moore)

ADM Chadli Siggy Sterling ( Boyd)

    Kun Pelle Costa

    0.0 ITB

    Or

How do I improve this WC team?

    Adrian ( Foster)

Baines Bertrand Azpi ( Wisdom, Moore)

ADM Hazard Siggy Sterling ( Boyd)

    Welbeck Pelle Costa

    0.0 ITB

GK's: You can do better than that imo, with only 0.5 for Begovic or Forster. Its probably the best 9.0 rotation though as far as im aware.

      def- looks good.

Mid's solid in both examples. I'm not a big fan of ADM though, and I think Welbeck-Costa-Pelle is the best forward line at the moment with the fixtures coming up.

RMT for GW8 please. Willing to offer detailed advice to anyone who answers!

    Begovic (SWA)
Lovren (qpr), Clyne (SUN), Taylor (sto)
Tadic (SUN), Downing (bur), Sterling (qpr), Fabregas (cpl)
Costa (cpl), Welbeck (HUL), Pelle (SUN)

Subs: Krul (LEI) // Siggy (sto), Wisdom (MUN), *Chambers(HUL)*

5.4 is for Baines and Ivanovic when I get around to it. I also like the freedom that kind of cash at hand gives to react quickly to bandwagons.

Stoke at home are a different animal though, as seen by their GC and CS stats from last year (on statto). Swansea also got 0'd at Sunderland last time out.

You could and probably should taken a punt on Sturridge instead of Pelle. And you are giving yourself weekly headaches like the one you have right now by benching Siggy.

      1. rickardinho
        • 11 Years
        11 years, 5 months ago

Its hardly a headache. I've avoided 2 blanks for Siggy, 1 blank for Fabregas, and this week was the 2nd time i avoided a blank for Tadic. I love being able to rotate like that to avoid a bad fixture.

I agree about Sturridge though, but Pelle and Welbeck have amazing fixtures. Sturridge might come into the picture after gw12 though i reckon. Need to get Baines sorted first.

I see what you're saying but can you tell me what your replacement mids have scored. Downing did well today but what about the other weeks. Point being you are sacrificing money for rotation which works like a charm until it doesn't. Imv, you are always better off leaving your better players on the pitch or play an extra defender if you are insistent on benching a mid. Much better value in an extra defender than an extra midfielder.

Cesc won't necessarily move forward when he's back, maybe only for big games. Against 'smaller teams', defo think Mou will play Cesc and matic behind an attacking three. Two of Willian/Schurrle/oscar and hazard.

Don't have any Arsenal or Everton cover and both have good fixtures coming up....
