Don’t get us wrong – we’re not labelling this latest droning session as “essential” listening. However, there’s no getting away from the fact that the concept of essential players has dominated the airwaves at Scout towers over the past week.

In this latest episode, Granville and I take on this meaty subject, whilst chewing over the importance of ownership and spit out the semblance of an opinion on both. Around that main course, we take on the usual bevvy of regulars with the usual haphazard panache.

Essential? Not quite, not even on a rainy Thursday night.

Grab this crucial slice of audio via this link or explore this necessary noise via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Ramsey + Ulloa > Obertan + Aguero confirmed

Probably close to 20 million transfers so far this season, plus more than 100 million last season.
Not once was Ramsey to obertan even considered,

Any more news about Lloris? If he is out I will captain Aguero for sure but doubt we get more news before dead line.

With Mirallas out & Everton's fixtures, Ross Barkley will be a steal at £6.7mil...

Actually maybe. Had a look and his FPL form last season seems underrated looking at the numbers..

          Exactly... exactly.
If he can put it together & turn those stats into points then it's a great run of games.

Late fit test this week so, I'd expect he'd start the week following, maybe two?
Everton have one of the softer runs up to Xmas now.

I'm not sure if I should get Aguero before this matchweek or not. I heard rumours that he might rise as well... but I'm rather happy with my team for this week (playing 3-5-2)

    Forster (Heaton)
    Baines Clyne Duff (Wisdom, Chambers)
    ADM Fabregas Downing Sterling Siggy
    Costa Pelle (Ulloa)

    2FT 2.4 ITB

Should I do Ulloa + Fabregas --> Aguero + Boyd? A little hesitant in getting rid of Fab.

Tossing up the Pochettino effect vs the Kaboul effect. Hmm.

Spurs saying the 11-1 score last season isn't a worry but they said that regarding how they lost 9-0 on aggregate to Liverpool last season as well and it continued on this season.

    Aguero (c) then?

Nice. I left in '10 so they'd stated to turn it around by then.

Actually saw Robbie Fowler when he came to town.

    2. Geordienufc1
      12 years, 17 days ago

      Downing and Naylor for me.

Burnley have to start getting points somewhere and their previously renowned defensive strength will most likely dissipate into multiple goals conceded each week, as was signalled by their last result. Meanwhile, WHU have looked strong going forward and Downing has been in good form.

      1. Microeconomics
        12 years, 17 days ago

That's what I had originally had. I didn't see Burnley keeping out WHU

Afternoon lads! Dutifully waited on using my FT through the international break and all appears to be in order.

    Krul
    Terry Bertrand Naylor
    ADM Sterling Fab Siggy
    Costa Welbeck Pelle

Bench: Elliot - Chester, Marney, Wisdom

    1 FT, 3.3 itb.

Chester to Baines has been the plan all week, and now that he appears to have escaped the international break unscathed, now seems to be as reasonable as any time to make the move. Any problems with that lads, or do I hit confirm and g2g?

    1. Microeconomics

Shoud I bring Ox in for 1 game and change him to Chadli next GW?

Could easily be both Ox and Santi benched, with them playing that 4-1-4-1 like they did at the start of the season. A week or two is very optimistic regarding Wally too.

Anybody round these parts been doing any analysis on keeper options recently?

I've been stuck with DDG since the start of the season and I'm keen to ship him following this GW. So far Guzan seems the best option considering price and fixtures, but I'm not completely sold on him.

Any other useful options around, or is there a rotating pair I should be considering up to the January WC?

Not a bad shout, but I really don't have the funds to do the upgrade. I'm also keen to avoid investing too much in a keeper as they don't really provide too much value.

Aah, thought DDG was around 6m.

I only have Heaton(burn). They play 6/9 at home with 2 of the other 3 being qpr/stoke.

          Might be an option.

Looking at Everton 's fixtures and the fact they must surely improve defensively, is doubling Baines and Coleman too insane? They're Evertons main attacking threats it seems

    Bego (Myhill)
Ivanovic, Duff, Van Bertrand, (Lovren, Distin )
Fab, Siggy, ADM, Sterling ( Mirallas )
    Costa, Ulloa, Naismith
