Don’t get us wrong – we’re not labelling this latest droning session as “essential” listening. However, there’s no getting away from the fact that the concept of essential players has dominated the airwaves at Scout towers over the past week.

In this latest episode, Granville and I take on this meaty subject, whilst chewing over the importance of ownership and spit out the semblance of an opinion on both. Around that main course, we take on the usual bevvy of regulars with the usual haphazard panache.

Essential? Not quite, not even on a rainy Thursday night.

    Can anyone recommend and transfers to make? Was going to remove krul for Mannone but have been persuaded not to due to mannones fixtures (even though he's a save machine). I have 2ft and 0.1 in the bank. Thanks for any suggestions.

      Go for welbeck. I'd normally say go for Kun or Costa instead but seeing as you'll be there and you don't go to games often it should be fun to have your captain playing live in front of you 🙂

      Captain Kun, I captained RVP vs QPR once, went to old Trafford and he did everything but score. I was right behind the goal as well, very frustrating.

      It's a rare occasion, and perhaps once in a lifetime for many to see their captain play live. It'll add to fun whether it goes wrong or right.

      Kun or Costa are a slightly better choice i suppose, but screw it it, go for welbeck i say.

      Depends how convinced you are about Saints scoring well, seeing as you're doubling up on them. If you are inclined to spread risk then replace tadic with downing.

          Yeh, but Monreal is okay at centre back. We kept a clean sheet against Man City with a back line of: Gibbs Monreal Chambers Debuchy in the 2nd half. Hull have been terrible recently, I'd say an easy 3-0.
