BTW I watched the saints game and don't understand why pelle's third was an og. Was a shot on target with two deflections I thought.

    Anyway non owner, just wondering

What change(s) will you make to this team this week?

    Fabianski
    Baines/Ivanovic/Clyne
    Tadic/Sterling (C)/Fabregas/Siggy (VC)
    Costa*/Pelle/Welbeck

    Bego/Boyd/Hutton/Moore

    2 FT's, 2 million in the bank.

    Thoughts appreciated 🙂

Costa to Aguero has to be no?

      Hard to see anything else.

Sterling to Chadli and Welbeck to Aguero would be proper sexy if Costa is a quick return. If Sterling is being sold by the masses that is....maybe?

I would ideally like to keep Costa and Ivan for the QPR game. Sterling has been doing well recently and has the stats to back his performances up. Some great fixtures to follow too. Same for Welbeck.

Really tough decision. Maybe I'll wait for more news and ship Costa for Aguero, and save the other free transfer. Thanks Stu!

As I said, I would like to keep Ivan for the QPR game. Not too worried about the United/Liverpool fixtures as well because these are exactly the kind of games in which Mourinho tightens things up

Thought I could wait for Sunday's games to happen before getting Baines, but how wrong I was

    Forster Fabianski
    Duff, Chambers, Clyne, Wilson, Moore
Sigurdsson, Fabregas, Sterling, Di Maria, Cork
    Aguero, Diego Costa, Ulloa

    2 FT, 1.4 ITB.

    Any ideas how?

obviously you have to lose a mid. Wait till tomorrow and see how sterling and adm do. Baines already rose so might as well wait.

".... I play deeper now so it will not be a party every game for me. I will go five or six games without a goal or an assist at times and I am more proud about our discipline....."

    Fabregas post palace game.

All those who kept fabregas (including me) feel smug because he scored but I think transferring him out will work for the better. But why fix something that isn't broken you say? It isn't necessarily fixing, its being ahead of the curve and recognizing when to move on.

I got rid weeks ago and have still risen LOADS.

He isn't one I miss tbf. Obviously he outscored my fourth mid today, and he may again next week...

But the fact is he doesn't have a place in my squad ATM.

Funny that eh? Top mid in the game.

    4. Not Irish
      12 years, 1 day ago

Like Ramsey he's still more than capable of scoring from deep.

    5. BlueIncognito
      12 years, 1 day ago

Eh, having watched every Chelsea game this season he isn't sitting *that* deep. Matic allows him to move forward a bit more and given his quality he will continue to score/assist throughout the season. Just my opinion though

    6. Jimmy_The_Gent
      12 years, 1 day ago

I've been thinking this way too, as I've watched Fabregas play in that deep midfield role which seems now to be his chosen position by Mourinho. He'll continue to tick along with assists and points, but I also have my eyes on moving him on for a more explosive, in-form attacking player such as Walcott when fully fit. As you say, timing is everything.

Don't really think that matters tbh. Think he can assist both Hazard and Costa big time in those home games against QPR and Brom. Plus, he will get a license to get more creative against weaker teams if Chelsea take an early lead.

Downgrade in midfield. Plenty of value with Tadic, Chadlii and Siggy

      1. SENTI CAZORLA

I have Siggy. Dont want to get rid of Fab or AdM. If Sterling doesnt do well today he may get the boot. What do you suggest?

Actually the concern is who to get rid of those three

All of them are expendable imo. Depends on how United and Liverpool go I guess.

One of those 3 midfielders needs to go. I'd seriously consider dropping two of them.

It has to be Fab or Sterling. Sterling to Chadli allows me to have Baines and Aguero! thats the way to go I think

Its a tough call, whomever you decide to sell has the potential to hurt you. Atm it looks like fabregas is the one to go imo.
Sterling has hull at home next week so is a captain option.
ADM is essential for united and he has no europe.

          Fab + Pelle >> Tadic/chadli + kun

The players you will be buying with this move will outscore the ones you are selling, that much I can guarantee.

    Morning/afternoon/evening (delete as appropriate) all!

What to do here? 1FT and 0 itb:

    Forster (Elliot)

Ivan / Baines / Bertrand (Duff, Wisdom)

ADM / Chadli / Fab / Hendo (Cork)

    Costa / Aguero / Welbeck

Was thinking of ditching Costa for Pelle, but Cork as my 5th mid means a double transfer and a hit to boot. Seems daft to get rid of Forster or Bertrand.

    1. SENTI CAZORLA

Tadic has good underlying stats but even so, was outside the top 20 for mids until yesterday's explosion. Pelle looks the better attacking asset (and potential captain pick)

He is the best footballer in England.

          Let us be honest.

No Ronaldo. No Tevez. No Bale. No Suarez.

Aguero is the best the P.L has to offer.

          Simple

            Silva might argue that one

            1. Stupendous
              12 years, 1 day ago

              Bollocks.

Silva could be THE BEST mid on Earth aka Iniesta/Xavi, he just lacks that week in week out month in month out brilliance.

His game lacks Lampard and Gerrard finishing.

Won't EVER EVER EVER come close to scoring 20 a season.

              Obviously he is MUSTARD...our Merlin.

But Aguero is far more valuable IMO.
