Sunday seeks to follow on from Saturday’s tidal wave of points, handing us a pair of Premier League fixtures at Loftus Road and the Britannia.

It all begins in West London, where Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool pay visit to struggling QPR.

The Liverpool boss has reacted to recent stuttering form with a series of changes, recalling Glen Johnson and Jose Enrique as Alberto Moreno and Javier Manquillo drop out; the latter is eased onto the bench. Emre Can also earns a first league start in the engine room with Philippe Coutinho benched, while Mario Balotelli is recalled up front in place of Rickie Lambert; the refreshed Raheem Sterling starts, as expected.

Liverpool find a much-changed QPR side in opposition, as Harry Redknapp rolls the dice. It looks likely to be a 3-5-2 set-up from the R’s with Rio Ferdinand surprisingly dropping to the bench to allow Richard Dunne to earn a start. Yun Suk-Young appears to be lining up at left wing-back in his first league start, as Niko Kranjcar drops out of the midfield. Further forward, Bobby Zamora is preferred to Junior Hoilett. There’s also a change in goal for the home side: Rob Green laid low through illness so Alex McCarthy makes his R’s league debut.

The Shepherds Bush action is followed by a tea-time encounter in the Potteries, as Mark Hughes’ Stoke host Swansea. Fantasy managers will be keenly focused on the display of Gylfi Sigurdsson as he bids to regain his spot on top of the FPL midfield rankings.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Excellant decision ref, if more made that call we'd see the end of the farce in the box at every free kick & corner.

It should be call every shirt pull or call none. Not when the ref decides he wants some tv time every 10 matches and gets some kind of applause for making the call.

Normally I would consider this OK, average week.
This time I don't have Pelle, Tadic, Aguero or Baines and literally everyone else seems to have them. So it's a huge red down arrow.

Oh well, Di Maria(c) and Falcao to come. Need at least a hat-trick, no pressure...

I think the Martinez legacy just hasn't worn off yet.

I don't rate Monk at all, but it's easy to follow the footsteps of such a great manager. They still have the same positive winning mentality which is hard to shake off.

    Repost (sorry)

Would you do this (no hit) ...

    DDG & Terry ➡ Guzan & Baines?

I only have 4.9m to spend on a keeper

Well Siggy could be good call actually. Swans attacking stats are worrying. Will keep for the next home game and reassess later on. I plan Siggy --> Chadli

      Is that a bad move?

Is getting Alcatraz too risky whilst Stones is out ???

RM: "We had both Sylvain and Antolin fit but Antolin has looked really good in training so I thought he should have the opportunity to play

Seems like it's his spot to lose. Maybe Distin will get the Europa league matches, not sure. Don't think it's too risky though

clearly not. everything has now become about the referee because of the original call.

I'm at a loss how the first one was a terrible call.
In saying that, M Oliver is a shockingly bad ref with all the traits that made G Poll the plonker he became!

I assume those claiming the first wasn't a penalty have Stoke defenders. There's no other explanation.

Nonsense. The first was a clear pen. The sad thing is the baying Stoke fans pushed the ref into giving the second.
