After the best Gameweek tally in living memory, I reserve the right for a bit of a gloat. Having risked the Wildcard back in Gameweek 7, the stars aligned and everything fell into place last weekend, leaving my ScoutCast co-host, grumpy Granville, grabbing at straws and smashing TV sets in frustration.

After last season’s defeat, I revel in my moment of glory but still find time to lock horns with Granville over the great Costa debate. Is Jose playing with our minds? I certainly think so but, as Granville points out, I reckon the Lunar landings were fake. I love a good conspiracy, me.

    Anyone who has sold Costa without having full confirmation from Chelsea is crazy imo.
    gonna be a headache to get him back in. I personally think he will be on the bench on Sunday and will be ripping it up next week against Qpr. Most of us have Wisdom as first Sub and I would happy with a west brom clean sheet.
    Tbh I can't see Costa scoring more than 1 goal against United anyway. Don't sell him bench him.

      While I support the view..
      Throwing around terms like crazy here aren't any use.

      Been called crazy here a few times and it can backfire.

      We ll only know if keeping him or offloading was the right move down the road.
      No one can tell for sure yet..and then course there are a million permutations with each team too.

      Keeping or Selling will prob both be right depending on our teams.

      The reason is that A and B in the long run are very wrong.
      I can;t imagine for example aguero outscorinig the sum of welbeck + ADM points...

      also D is risky.If you think CHE have tough fixtures to remove Ivan, then why buy oscar (rotation risk)?

          It's hard to tell really, well I just haven't bothered working it out. i suppose i would''ve been playing Ulloa or Naismith so maybe it will. 1 more goal over the next 2 should make more than it cost me but not sure if just playing one of my subs would've been better.

            Yeah, that's the main difference in UFPL - the number of alternatives you already have for free without having to bring a new face in. That's what makes me think I'm unlikely to use the loan system unless I have a serious injury crisis.

    Guys my current team is.

    Krul/mannone
    Taylor, bertrand,wisdom,hutton,ward
    Sterling,farbregas,silva,downing,diame
    Costa,aguero,welbeck.

    I have 2 ft's.

    Do i,

    1, switch downing for noble so i can shift ward and get jagielka?
    2, get rid of ward and silva so i can have baines which leaves me with £7.3 m for midfielder
    3, just leave it?

    Not interesting in selling costa atm.

      Save the FT. Your team looks very strong for this week and you will almost certainly gain ground. Next week Costa is overwhelmingly likely to be back (don't listen to those who think he won't play even if he's fit).

        Thanks, nice to get a different type of opinion.

        If I can holt on to him, having those big 4 mids as well as Aguero and Costa could be a major differential. No Baines is the only worry.

          Baines would be good to have, but in a week when you have three strong DF fixtures I don't think it's a priority. I have Baines as he's an FPL favourite of my, and I have Ivan, but it means Aguero and Costa together is a pipe dream 😀
