Saturday’s modest points returns pile expectations on to Sunday’s trio of encounters, as an assortment of prime Fantasy assets take to the turf.

It all begins with a pair of lunchtime kick-offs, as Spurs entertain Newcastle at the Lane and Burnley host Everton up at Turf Moor. Fantasy managers will be looking to the likes of Leighton Baines, Nacer Chadli and Christian Eriksen to provide some early cheer, before attentions turn to the main event at Old Trafford at 4pm.

United and Chelsea meet head-on in one of the season’s key clashes. It arrives in time to find Jose Mourinho’s Blues flying high on top of the table, while Louis van Gaal’s United struggle to break out of a state of flux.

The script points to a comfortable away win, with Fantasy managers eagerly awaiting the visitors’ team sheet and the potential “revelation” that Diego Costa defies the claims of his manager to spearhead the Chelsea attack. We’re in for a fascinating afternoon.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

LVG has Di Maria playing on the right, I'm guessing to explot David Luiz but its not working. He is not comfortable there. He keeps drifting towards the middle/left

LVG is completely rocking it tactically in this game. I love the way Shaw pushes high and makes it almost impossible for Willian to counter attack from his own half.

Don't support United... Have even got Hazard (C), so a pen would've been brilliant for me, just believe that the Terry/Rojo challenge was a fair one where Terry went down looking for it.

Pretty sure it looks like Terry is just trying to shake Rojo whos got his hands around his neck. Terry didnt look for anything. And for the record i hate both Chelsea and JT.

        2. Wouter
          12 years, 7 days ago

Looked like it in my opinion. Threw himself at Rojo first, was a fair battle, and then threw himself towards the ground. Was a clear pen on Ivanovic though.

            • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Difference is Rojo had his hands all around Terry, Terry used only his chest and had his hands out. The penalty should have been awared on Ivan/Smalling incident, 100%.

LvG has his tactics spot on today. Fellaini snuffing out Fabregas from quite an advanced position. Good plays from the wings too. I can still see a defensive mistake from us at some point which is why we need to score.

      1. Somalion
        12 years, 7 days ago

I agree with you Granville. It has been decent overall, my concern is the defending too. Chelsea certainly could have/should have had a penalty because of Smalling, there have been a few other passing errors etc. from the defenders.
