[sbu_large_image] Suspensions

We now have six players balancing on this week’s Suspension Tightrope after Gameweek 9’s fixtures afforded us four new entries. The most popular Fantasy asset sitting just one booking away from a single-match ban is Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas, who earned his fourth caution of the campaign in Sunday’s draw at United.

After collecting just a single yellow in the opening five Gameweeks, the 53%-owned playmaker has incurred the referee’s wrath in three of his last four league matches, and with clashes against QPR, Sunderland and West Brom in the next four, his owners will be praying he can steer clear of further misdemeanours.

Also picking up a fourth booking of the season last weekend was Everton’s Steven Naismith, along with midfield battlers Lee Cattermole and Craig Gardner. Whilst the latter pair have minimal ownership, Naismith sits in 25% of Fantasy Premier League teams, and after netting just once in the last six, looks to be on his last chance for many, with both Saido Berahino and Diafra Sakho offering excellent alternatives in the budget bracket.

This week’s new arrivals join Phil Bardsley and Winston Reid on the Tightrope, then, though Branislav Ivanovic owners can breathe a sigh of relief despite his sending off at Old Trafford on Sunday. The Serbian will serve a one-match ban during Chelsea’s Capital One Cup clash with Shrewsbury this evening and will be available for selection at home to QPR next Saturday.

Also free from suspension for Gameweek 10 is Wayne Rooney, who returns from a three-match enforced absence in time for Sunday’s Manchester derby. The United skipper is nursing a foot problem sustained in training, though, and is rated a doubt for the Etihad showdown.

Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere, Tottenham centre-half Federico Fazio and Palace defender Damien Delaney also return to action, with the trio having served one-match bans last weekend.

This leaves Cesar Azpilicueta as the only player currently sidelined through suspension. The Chelsea defender misses tonight’s Shrewsbury showdown and Saturday’s home encounter with the R’s before returning to the fray in time for the league leaders’ Gameweek 11 visit to Anfield.

did anybody watch Swansea beat Leicester on sky sports? Did Swansea look defensively strong? Same question with the Stoke game? Could they be good for clean-sheets this year and their defenders like Williams or Fernandez be good value! Thanks

They were strong, but Leicester seemed to give them a few problems here and there.

They looked alright, but then again Leicester at home shouldn't be the biggest challenge although they put 5 past United. A lot of people already have Naylor from Swansea in their team, as he is one of the cheapest options.

Do you think they'll do well against Everton this weekend? Chance of a clean sheet?

They could do well but it'd be very difficult for them to score there keep a clean sheet there I reckon. Think I'm going to bench him myself this week.

Got Clyne and Bertie - will lose Bertie for sure.

With Mane there , Bertie not gonna get forward that much ? Clyne becomes more of an attacking threat imo

Why are so many people shipping out Sterling at the moment?

Apart from Chelsea next week, Liverpool have excellent fixtures for the next 6. Don't see much reason why he would not bring in a fair amount of points. Yet he currently has the highest ratio of transfers out after Costa. Is there something I've missed?

      quick question:

I had Sterling from the start of the season at 8.5, his resale value to me right now is 8.7... if he goes down tonight will that remain at 8.7 or go down to 8.6?

Attacking players shouldnt be chosen depending on fixtures. Form is more important imo. And Liverpool have CL matches that will struggle to win, so PL will be less important for the time being

At a glance, thought you wrote "Aguero is going to bum me soon", Zabaleta would get jealous.

Who is more essential for the near future? 🙂

Sterling or ADM? (Thinking of doing FT -> Sanchez)

This hazard bandwagon is certainly an exception to the rule. He blanked v manu. He also has fewer points than many other mods... Usually this means he can't possibly be a bandwagon.

Nice to see proactive rather than reactive movement, even if it fails

To be fair, it's a pretty minor bandwagon. More people have brought in Jedinak and Diame this week than Haz

    Mannone / (Guzan)
    Baines / Clyne / Moreno / (Naylor) / (Moore)
    ADM / Fab / Siggy / Sterling / (Boyd)
    Kun / Pelle / Wellbeck

    2 FT, 0.4 ITB

I think my big move this week will be... nothing (aside from replacing Mannone to avoid losing a FT).

This seems like a downright unpopular approach based on the flurry of chatter about shipping ADM, Siggy, Sterling. I don't feel any urgency to bring in Sanchez, and I don't see the benefit of attempting to time a series of round trip transfers for the likes of Tadic, Eriksen and Chadli. I do think Hazard is appealing, but I want to see how the Costa situation plays out. If he is healthy, I will want to have two of Costa/Fab/Haz in my team for most of the season.

    Hello everyone

I've been having trouble deciding on the following:

    1. I have aguero/milner against united, and i can save my free transfer.

    Or

    2. Replacing them with sanchez/welbeck who face burnley, and take a -4 hit.

Any plan that involves selling Aguero is a bad plan.

The only other option is di maria/cisse to accomodate welbeck/sanchez. However, manchester united face crystal palace in the next round, and id have to bring him back.

You are right..but would taking a -4 by removing di maria to accomodate sanchez in the team be positive..considering arsenal face burnley?
