Monitor – Raheem Sterling

The season could barely have started brighter for Raheem Sterling after the youngster grabbed two goals and an assist in the opening three Gameweeks for Liverpool. With Daniel Sturridge sidelined ever since, however, Sterling has struggled to replicate his early form, scoring just once and earning a pair of assists in the subsequent six Gameweeks.

Despite a weekend showdown against Newcastle on his agenda, Sterling is the most sold player in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, with over 65,000 owners parting company in order to acquire the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Dusan Tadic and Cesc Fabregas.

In our second members article of the week, we take a look at his displays with and without Sturridge on the park in order to ascertain just why he’s failed to deliver.

    In case people think that they should sub out Aguero to accommodate Costa based solely on the fact that Silva is out...

    PL games Silva missed last year:
    GWs 4-6, 11-15, 20, 26, 36

    Aguero featured in all but 2 of those games, for a total of 9 games and his stats for those games:
    6 goals and 1 assist*

    These games also included the 4-1 thrashing of United where he scored 2.

    *note this is from transfermarkt so maybe he had other FPL assists as well (non-Opta accounted for)

          Mostly for people with Kun, Pelle, Welbz and trying to find a way to fit in Costa. Personally I'm happy with those 3 for this week so willing to take the risk and go without for a few more GWs.

      Navas, Nasri can easily provide the ammo. The question is will this force Pelli to change his formation and play 2 up top, say Dzeko. That seems to be the main thing that might affect Aguero's output

      I am about to do exactly the same with silva as another 0.1 prices me out, and i have been mugged off by surprise rises from baines and aguero thus season, so making the move now just on case.

      However, i am doing it with silva who is likely to miss this match. If you get stuck with sterling at least you have a fit player who is still getting forward...

      Tadic more involved (on pens & set pieces), nailed on and fit, but Mane has a better ppg so far... and that includes Tadic's monster haul.

          There aren't any glaring weaknesses. Before + Tadic in a few weeks time, as well as maybe Welbeck if he blanks this week. Up to you on Sterling really, I shipped him but he could just as easily score well.
