Flabbergasted by my reluctance to tinker and the decision to throw away my Gameweek 9 transfer, Granville can’t wait to get stuck into me in the ScoutCast studio.

My co-host roughs me up over my cowardice, then slaps me around for the fact that I appeared to hoodwink the entire world over Diego Costa’s fitness. We then go on to appraise the merits of Ed Sheeran, check in on Neil Warnock’s latest gripes and weigh up the Sterling vs Sanchez vs Hazard debate. Meanwhile, Kieran Trippier’s cross count without an assist for Granville hits 66 and counting. Who’s dithering now, eh Granville?

Dilly-dally over this episode via this link or dawdle in its direction via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Who to captain, fellas? And any last minute changes necessary ...

    Krul,
    Ivan, Baines, Clyne
    Siggy, Sterling, Haz, Fab
    Kun, Pelle, Berahino

I'm a bit scared about Costa tho ...

Kun (c). Pelle not a bad shout either..

    Thinking of:

    OUT: Di Maria, Siggy, Bertrand

    IN: Sanchez, Mane, Alcaraz.

    4pt hit.

    0.1 left.

Is this sheer madness? I really want Sanchez. The Bertrand-Alcaraz swap will fund it. Siggy-Mane is just a bit of tinkering as Siggy's form and fixtures are on the wane.

Look at what you are throwing away. The very players that have bought most people to a good rank.
So many are throwing them out this week , and with most wildcards already played they are not going to be bought back in easily.
They are template for a reason

I agree with Triggerlips think twice before binning those players. It's a long season and you might not be able to buy some of them back.

Alcaraz could lose his place any time while Bertrand is nailed on for a Southampton outfit that is as solid as they come - their cleansheets aren't lucky by any means. Siggy was still central everything to Swansea did before he got subbed off. Even though he had a niggle, he basically assisted the 2nd goal if only Montero had the balls to take a shot. Would prefer Pelle over Mane all day.

AdM > Sanchez is a sideways transfer.

Please, if you were me, what would u do before Saturday.

I have tinkered with fifty moves this week and still to pull a trigger.

    I have 2 ft and .1 itb.

    Bego
    Baines. Ivanovic. Clyne
    Siggy. Sterling. Adm. Milner
    Pelle. Aguero. Costa

    McCarthy. Wisdom. Duff. King

I won't post again til I do something if anything at all.

Easiest thing would be King to Boyd and save a free again, but I am shit scared of no Arsenal and no Fab/Haz.

Cheer up, you have a solid team there 😀

I wouldn't be too worried about not having Cesc or Hazard, as you already have Costa. Arsenal is a different matter. I'd be tempted to go for Alexis if I have 2 FTs.

      1. Stupendous
        • 13 Years

Think I may just have a roll of the dice and use a free on Sterling to Ramsey.

If not King to Boyd might have to do.

Maybe Pelle to Welbeck for a week at a push???

        1. Edmond
          • 12 Years

No I strongly advice against doing Pelle to Welbeck. I think you might regret that. Pelle is in such a good form to the extent that I'm starting to consider keeping him even through his tough fixtures.

Besides Welbeck hasn't been performing that well either. There's no guarantee Welbeck will 'cover' Arsenal's points for your team.

The thing is, barring any exceptional turn of events, I would want to have Di Maria for his next few home games. As I can only get Alexis by switching out Di Maria, it would require another transfer to bring him back in eventually.

Definitely won't risk doing that with just 1 FT.

We get more live footy here in a month than u lot get back home all year.

      Incredible really.

Yh there's wiziwig where you can watch the Saturday games of your choice over here ( no 3pm ever shown live on a Saturday ) but I just prefer the news from a studio, FPL or gambling wise "there's been another goal at Upton Park " for example , it grips you more than anything ,; or even refreshing the pages on here is exciting , of course I watch all the Sunday games and go over West Ham a lot , but just can't beat the Saturday randomness of Final score or Soccer Saturday with Geoff Stelling

Here in NZ, I wake up usually around 7am, make sure I don't go anywhere near this site or any others which might give away the results, then watch the Burnley game in it's entirety (if they are playing), feel depressed for 10 mins or so, then watch a couple more key games where I have more than one player playing (or have my captain playing), then catch up with the rest either fast forwarding through the games to see the goals or checking this site to see the scores and more importantly, the scorers and BAP allocation. Then usually feel depressed again.

      1. Jay_
        11 years, 8 months ago

That's a good advantage living other side of the world then , over here we call it the match of the day challenge , to try to avoid all scores before the you watch the highlight programme , but I spose in NZ or Oz you would be sleeping anyway so can watch as you want as you wake up ?

        It's a tough one.

Both may not play 90 mins.
Can see Wally coming on for Sanchez after 75 mins or something if Arsenal are winning comfortably.

Looking for Arsenal cover, what do you reckon people?

    Have 1 FT, 0.0m ITB

    GK - Schmeichal, Heaton
DF - Chambers, Moore, Clyne, Taylor, Wilson
MD - Fab, ADM, Sterling, Siggy, Schneiderlin
    FW - Costa, Aguero, Ulloa

    Help please 🙂

Can't afford it by 0.4m due to Ulloa's price drops 🙁

Walcott will be a nice option when he returns to full fitness.

I'd rather stick with Ulloa this week than get Valencia to be honest. Just feel I need Arsenal cover in attack.

Could do ADM and schneiderlin to Sanchez and Boyd

Will Arsene reveal any lineup news today/Moro?

Perhaps THE most inviting news this week in all of FPL is who plays no.10 for Arse?

If we were to find out it is Ramsey at Downing St i could snap him right up like a drunken slapper when out on the pull!

    You would rather have

    A) Costa(c) Hendo

    Or

    B) Pelle Siggy + 4

Sterling & Siggy for Alexis and Downing?? -4

Main reasons are no players in my ML have Alexis and a successful captain could well see me top..
Also losing faith in Sterling.. only concern is Siggy v Downing.. should be close in next 3/4 fixtures tho..

    Is Jedinak a viable option?

Nailed on and on pens at home to SUN this week.

    I'm between:

    A) Siggy & Sterling -> Jedinak & Sanchez
    B) Clyne & Sterling -> Yun/Saylor & Sanchez

    Krul, Elliot
    Baines, Clyne, Chambers, Wisdom, Hutton
    Hazard, Sterling, Siggy, Chadli, Albrighton
    Aguero, Costa, Pelle

    Bank 0.2m, 2 freebies

Definitely not worth losing Clyne/Siggy/Sterling and getting a bench fodder just to make way for Sanchez IMO.

This Sanchez thing is getting way out of hand.

    Begovic,
    Clyne, Moreno, van Aanholt,
    Siggy, di Maria, Sterling, Tadic,
    Costa (c), Aguero, Welbeck.

2 FT, and still without an idea about what to do.

Anyone has opted not to go with any Chelsea cover this week ? just realised that's the route that will lead to less hit taken on the successive GW in my case..
