Jack Wilshere is a big doubt for Arsenal’s home clash with Burnley, who welcome back Dean Marney into midfield. West Ham’s Diafra Sakho is in with a chance of lining up against the Potters. Brendan Rodgers rules out Jose Enrique against Newcastle, who themselves could be without forward Papiss Cisse. Sadio Mane is set to return to training as he bids to prove his fitness ahead of Southampton’s KC clash, while the FA rescind Federico Fernandez’s three-match ban ahead of Swansea’s trip to Everton.

Arsene Wenger is “quite confident” Kieran Gibbs will overcome a hip problem in time for tomorrow’s visit of Burnley. The Gunners boss expects Jack Wilshere to miss out with a “very, very short-term” knee problem, whilst he also went on to confirm Theo Walcott is “not completely ready” and won’t start against the Clarets.

Sam Allardyce has revealed that Diafra Sakho is “touch and go” for the weekend, after injuring his shoulder during the win over Man City. Allardyce confirmed the Hammers will monitor the forward’s condition before Saturday, whilst James Tomkins and Matt Jarvis have recovered from their injuries and will make a return to the squad.

Jose Enrique will miss the reunion against former club Newcastle, with Brendan Rodgers confirming that the defender has an issue with his knee. The Reds boss has also conceded he expects Daniel Sturridge to remain sidelined until after the next international break, before talking up Fabio Borini’s prospects ahead of the Magpies clash and also hinting at a change of tactics for the weekend, after mainly operating with a 4-2-3-1 in Sturridge’s absence.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has rated Papiss Cisse “touch and go” as the striker bids to overcome a knee problem in time for the Liverpool clash.

Reports in the local press indicate David Silva will miss the next three weeks with a knee problem sustained against Newcastle in midweek. Manuel Pellegrini is expected to clarify the situation in today’s lunchtime press conference.

Sean Dyche has received a boost ahead of the trip to the Emirates, with news that midfielder Dean Marney is back in contention to face the Gunners after recovering from injury.

Sadio Mane is a doubt to face Hull as he bids to overcome an ankle injury picked up last week. Ronald Koeman has announced that the winger is expected to be part of the travelling squad on Saturday, should he come through training this morning.

Federico Fernandez will be available for Swansea’s trip to Goodison after successfully appealing the red card he received in the midweek cup exit to Liverpool. Elsewhere, midfielders Gylfi Sigurdsson and Ki Sung-Yeung are both back in training ahead of the Toffees test

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

I sometimes look at PaddyPower (other betting sites are available) to see odds for "most likely to score" etc. My issue is between Hazard / Sanchez / Aguero.

So in a nut shell Paddy says:

Arsenal are most likely to win 2-0 (with Sanchez anytime scoarer 1.72)
Chelsea are most likely to win 3-0 (with Hazard anytime scoarer 2.0)
ManCity are most likely to win 2-1 (with Aguero anytime scoarer 1.9)

So what the feck does that mean?! Probably that Sanchez is best choice.... I just know if i pick Sanchez - Hazard's gonna get 2 pens & an assist and leave me v. cross indeed.

Odds for Players to score 2 or more with William Hill

      Costa 11/5

Not got a clue who to captain, any help appreciated.

    A) Aguero I'm a united fan so hard to captain him.
    B) Sanchez Tranfered in after his 2 goals from sunderland assists
    C) Hazard I've captained twice already this season, never been worth it.
    D) Lukaku Captain last week and watching his clumpsy self was stressful.

Aguero or Hazard as they both have pens also and so hat tricks etc are more likely, Aguero is the safest option.

    A) Sanchez
    B) Hazard

    Team:
    Foster
    Baines/Bertrand/PVA
    Sanchez/Hazard/Tadic/Fabregas
    Aguero/Welbeck/Berahino

    Afternoon chaps

I have 2FTs and 0.0m in the ode bank.

    Begovic (Gilks)

    Moore Hutton Moreno PvA Clyne

    Silva Sterling Siggy Hazard Marney

    Costa Aguero Welbeck

Not needed to make a transfer in a while and, so far, keeping my finger off the trigger has worked pretty well.

Would you make any changes this week? Wondering whether to get Rambo back, as Silva has a knock. Or... is it WILDCARD time? Probably not...

tough to pick Aarons now on the back of just one good performance in the cup, risk of rotation between him and obertan? Or might they continue with both?

The main question is, are Aarons/mason/jedinak worth the extra 0.6m than boyd/obertan

          • 12 Years
          11 years, 1 month ago

i'm pretty sure Aarons in rotation risk. he won't play every week.

one of them (Mason/Jedinak) could be worth it IMO but you may need to watch them in several GWs first until you're convinced.

if you really need to do the transfer now, go with Boyd.

Not WC. And will probably do one of the two to ADM for Palace at home or wait for after Ars (A)

I am very tempted to take the gamble. Promising fixtures.
You should have a great week! Good luck.

I am considering Walcott and Rooney over ADM + Welbeck in the coming weeks.

Any ideas? 0.4m in the bank, 1 FT and more than willing to take a hit 🙂

    DDG
    Baines Bertrand WIsdom (Chester, Duff)
    ADM Sigurdsson Tadic Sterling
    Aguero Lukaku Pelle

    On DDG + Sterling---->Foster + Hazard atm.

    Cheers

It is the sensible option though, isn't it? Thought about it....Sterling couldvery well outscore Sanchez/Hazard this week.

        Mmmm....

Play Moore(save FT) OR Tiote to Downing and play him? Thanks!

I really am tempted to go Siggy - Chadli

really makes sense I think. Chadli is due another big game and has a villa side shipping them in with no Hutton and Senderos and then Stoke and Hull.

Swansea have Everton, Arsenal and Man City. Just think this is the time to swtich??

I disagree that Chadli is due, as his form has dipped slightly and Spurs aren't looking good at all.

Meanwhile, Everton away is not a terrible fixture for Swans (3-2 last year, Everton are leaky), and I'd back them to give Arsenal a game as well.

can't afford whereas Chadli price is exactly my selling price of Siggy.

Next 3 games Chadli is going to score more than Siggy surely....

        Villa / Stoke / Hull

        vs

Everton / Arsenal / Man City

I see Siggy going down 0.1 maybe 0.2 over the next 3 weeks personally.

Just me or is Costa (c) a bit risky, he could be subbed in and just get a 1 pointer.. Or do you think he'll start?

I'm thinking of taking a major risk by getting one of a) Ox or b) Fellaini. Am I crazy? If not which one would you get?
