A number of midfielders are amongst this eveningโ€™s members piece, as we take a look the in-form options at Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham and Tottenham. We also cast an eye over Diego Costaโ€™s recent form, assess Sergio Agueroโ€™s displays compared to recent campaigns and take time to assess QPRโ€™s in-form frontman after another impressive showing in yesterdayโ€™s narrow defeat at the Bridge.

So everyone's rushing to get ADM suddenly? Meanwhile I've been planning on ditching him for Sanchez all week. Hmmmm

Wrong week to make the switch. Sanchez could do well again this weekend, but Di Maria has a great fixture

ADM is worth holding onto. I do want him in my team but I'm prepared to wait till after the Arsenal game. So Don't buy, but don't sell either.

        Trust me.

Sanchez is in danger of becoming fixture proof..
        ADM certainly not.

Right so shifting attention to my UCL team now....if anyone out there is playing it this year....have Draxler to sort out and nothing itb. Looking at Kagawa as an even replacement but a little nervy on whether or not he will start but also not keen on waiting to do the transfer after the lineups are out and the site possibly not working. Any ideas?

the site should be fine with the line-ups as many like myself played one matchday and forgot about the team. So I do not expect much traffic. Yet, nothing is guaranteed. I'd have a ready plan of what I want to do and wait for formations. especially with Kagawa losing his place with Gondugan and Reus returns

if you could push up to koke then get him, assist machine...but if you can't id prefer calhanoglu to kagawa, as shinji hasn't really hit form yet ๐Ÿ™‚

I would but I already have Koke ๐Ÿ™‚ I have Bellarabi so I don't want to double on their attack as they have not exactly been firing lately. I thought Kagawa has been looking very bright for them lately...though I think he did get removed against Bayern with cramps so I am just concerned they may not risk him on Tuesday.

Swansea facing a set of stiff upcoming fixtures. Perhaps Adrian ahead of Fabianski? Schneiderlin has Leicester at home too though. Maybe look at other transfers this GW?

yeah ARS and mci the next 2, but i think heaton is sufficient cover with HUL and sto. after that swansea's fixtures look tasty. schneiderlin failing to make an impact on fantasy, plus fixtures turn bad after avl, whilst downing has the form and fixtures on his side.

i don't really have any other pressing issues to be honest, save the free you reckon?

Calamitous GW has seen an overall rank go from inside top 10k to outside top 30k. Brutal with no Chambers, Downing or Sanchez.

Sterling has finally been culled. Downing comes in

    Begovic (McCarthy)
    Clyne Bertrand Naylor (Wilson, Moore)
    Fabregas ADM(vc) Downing Sigurdsson (Boyd)
    Aguero(c) Costa Berahino

What to do with the other FT? 3.0m in the bank

    A. Berhaino > Pelle
    B. Sigurdsson > Tadic
    C. Other?

    Thoughts appreciated

think all Sterling owners as of GW10 had him on the chopping blocks and tried to exercise patience. I've sold already but seen some experienced managers over the week holding on to him - all must be cursing their penchant for patience.

Urgh. I have been away and just logged in. I woyld be gloating about a great haul of points and moving up 1.4 million places in a few gameweeks, but the sad thing is that i have sterling absolutely bucketing money.

However, he has lost so much this week that he won't drop again, so all thos transfers out from now on will just reduce his ownership, making him something of a differential. Maybe i should hold for one more week (have been saying that for three weeks.

                  Hazard, downing, chadli, sterling, diame,
                  Costa, aguero, pelle

Not costa, surely? Although i have chelsea 'coverage' in hazard. This week this midfield was immense but i am considering this as a one off. Can't be complacent! I don't have a super budget mid but couldn't choose any below 5 mil so went for diame. What do you reckon? (No cash in the bank)

nice team. Tough decisions there. Seems like Pelle or Costa has to go, but who would be their replacement?? Could blow up in your face either way. Pelle > Sakho gives u double WHU attack which is tricky, plus he has a good fixture - captain candidate even.

Damn, wouldn't want to be you. Think you spread TV around a little too well...

I'm riding it out but only because I haven't figured out a replacement yet. I mean ADM would be an obvious choice but then who do I downgrade Eriksen (who I also want to lose) to? Don't fancy Downing. I thought of Mirallas but he's out for a few weeks...or I could punt on Ameobi if he continues to get gametime. But that's one to watch. It would eventually allow me to swap Pelle for Costa with the cash saved though...

I'm rambling but in short I need to wait to see who the best replacements are. I think

I would stop the rot and take the hit. They are a lesion you must remove.

The longer you hold on to them, the more limited your future moves will be. I've been stubborn 2 weeks too long with Sterling over Sanchez because of 2 'decent' fixtures.

Regret it but swallowed my pride and sold. Admit a mistake was made, correct it.

Yep, thanks that's sound advice. I'm not averse to back-tracking if I think I've made a mistake, but I'm trying not to worry too much about TV this season also. Feeling a bit conflicted but I wouldn't be doing it for the money, I'd be doing it for the points. It does make sense I agree.

Same, i did feel conflicted as well. Purely a move based on price swings as I had to sell Tadic as well to fund the trade up to Sanchez. But oh well, can't hate the player...and we can't hate the game.

Haven't bothered about TV so far this season but this particular trade was abit too compelling - given Sterling was on the ropes for many and literally was an explosion imminent...esp with ready made, clear alternatives who are sure to rise ๐Ÿ™

We talk about trying to get on players who explodes on points, but sometimes it's also the players who are about to be culled en masse that are key!

Sometimes, this game is like the stock markets. Ride the waves of the market and on stocks that people are bullish on. Downing/Chadli are the popular enablers to allow Sanchez in at the moment.

No point being stubborn about certain players only to be hit by price drops and lost points.

Yep, and it's the point losses that smarts most. Sometimes I think having a lower team value can save you from getting in fools gold type players, which otherwise you could have afforded. In fact Eriksen over Chadli might be a case in point. If only my TV had been still lower, I might not have made the mistake ๐Ÿ˜‰

Looking at a cheap replacement for Berahino from GW12, pick one -

Sakho (Bare in mind I'll have Downing aswell)
      Austin
      Weimann
      Ayoze

I was contemplating it, but I am sort of liking the idea of going with a monster midfield right now. Hazard is so much less of a headache and with pens he should steadily tick over. Also so many wonderful cheap striker options right now. Who knows though, a lot will happen between now and then ๐Ÿ˜€ What are you thinking of doing? Going to bring him back in?

During the international break , I am considering doing
            Clyne Bertrand Tadic Welbeck >
Duff Chambers Downing Costa for a -8
Will captain Costa home to WBA to cover the hit
Will lose the Saints just before fixtures go very hard
Duff good fixtures Chambers good until Xmas
            Downing good form fixtures
            Would leave me :
            Bego
            Baines Chambers Duff
            Downing Hazard AdM Sanchez
            Aguero Berahino Costa
*Excuse the long post , boils down to is Costa worth breaking up team for ? I'm leaning towards yes as great fixtures coinciding with Southampton bad

I'd fancy Southampton's chances of keeping a cleanie against a Benteke-less Villa. Maybe lose one defender but I'd keep one for sure, not worth losing them for a hit. I'd consider downgrading Hazard instead of breaking up your team.

                couple of things
-people seem to suggest that SOT are nearing the end of the world-they seem fairly fixture proof and after those 3 fixtures they play burnley? And what about saints fixtures before 'big 3'?
-de costa -is he all that or has he blown his gasket-see big numbers article-would tend to back up my view that with operations being muttered out ,that this is not a time to bank on costa or break ateam up for the same.

It's tricky with them because they have a run of 3 hard , then 2 easy then 3 hard again , it's Costa ownership what worries me ,,I got lucky this gw but his fixtures are so good I feel it's silly to ignore , I got Tadic for his 23 pointer I fear lots of 2 pointers to come before next haul and Clyne and Bertie surely can't keep this CS run up ? perfect timing. We have a bye this week so you two can sort this out in the ring and put it all behind you as we prepare over the international break for the final.
Good luck to both. What's the differentials?

                Worst GW ever

Played Forster over Foster (eh, no big deal) /CHECK

Left Wanyama and Wisdom on the bench (defensible... Sort of...) /CHECK

Captained Diego Costa (don't talk to me...) /CHECK

Saved my FT (which I never do) to ride Moreno for one more week instead of doing the FT I've planned for weeks, TO Chambers! /CHECK

Knee jerked Sanchez and Chambers for Sterling and Moreno so bad, I did Ulloa to Perez for a HIT to free up the funds. (This feels like a big mistake after seeing Kane today). /CHECK /CHECK

Benching Wanyama and captaining Costa were good decisions on paper. Everyone has 50-50s go against them so chin up and move on from it, there's plenty more weeks to come.

As patient a man as I am, Sterling now has to go. Siggy the makeweight to fund the big midfield upgrade to Sanchez. Got up to 4.7 for an alternative, someone tell me Wanyama's not the man?

....or 5.2 if I go for ADM instead. So, ADM or Sanchez this week?
