A number of midfielders are amongst this evening’s members piece, as we take a look the in-form options at Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham and Tottenham. We also cast an eye over Diego Costa’s recent form, assess Sergio Aguero’s displays compared to recent campaigns and take time to assess QPR’s in-form frontman after another impressive showing in yesterday’s narrow defeat at the Bridge.

Guys some advice please...
A. Sterling, Naismith to chadli/diami/other 8.1mid and sahko
B. Sterling, Naismith to 5.5m and Pele (already have tadic)
C. Sterling, welbeck to sanchez and 5.4 striker
D. Sterling welbeck to sahko and Walcott
Maybe Harry Kane?
Will wait until Friday after all European games though..-
while Pelle would be good for his home game v Leicester, his fixtures turn very soon so you might want to trade him out in a couple of weeks anyway.
A sounds good. Need to get rid of Naismith, and some decent midfielders available for 8.1.-
Thanks yeah maybe I'm looking too short sighted
-
-
-
After International Break...
A] Fabregas and Sanchez
B] Walcott and Costa-
Tough..B maybe
-
-
Ok, sort this bunch of clowns out.....
Heaton
Baines-Berty-Naylor/Duff
Cesc-Sterling-Siggy-Tadic
Kun-Pelle-Costa
Boyd-Hutton
2 FT, 0.3ITB-
I sold Sterling 2 minutes after the Liverpool game got over. You giving him another chance?
-
Having sold Moreno and Sterling last week, my team is now a Liverpool free zone. It feels good.
-
Ditto
-
-
-
Sterling and Tadic –> Sanchez and Downing?
-
That's what I thought yes...
-
id rather keep tadic for LEI then fabs against liverpool
-
As a Liverpool fan I disagree.
-
Mainly because you're gonna want shot of Tadic in 2 weeks anyhow, whereas Cesc you won't and will be much more expensive to buy back.
-
just in time for wally
-
+1
-
-
own worst critic 😉
-
I'm sorry to see the demise of your team - but it looks bereft of ideas & motivation. Why oh why did Rodgers buy Balotelli?
-
More to the point – why does he keep playing him when it's painfully obvious that he's killing the team?
-
because he's not very smart.
-
This ... I would like to know.
Purely selfishly, you understand - because it has upset my FPL strategy.-
I think he's on a bit of an ego trip tbh. Trying to be the one to succeed where Mourinho and Mancini have failed and bring out the best in him.
-
God's teeth ...
-
He should be made to read Rudyard Kipling, then ...
-
-
-
-
I agree - at least Lambert would try, especially as he's a Liverpool lad himself.
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
Sterling and Tadic > Sanchez and Downing? Or sell Pelle instead of Tadic... Not the best time to lose them but there aren't many other ways to get Sanchez..
-
Rather keep Pelle
-
-
cesc and sterlo to sanchez and downing
-
-
Hilarious article about the City vs United game 😀
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/soccer-dirty-tackle/the-strange-facts-of-man-city-s-1-0-win-against-man-united-181727997.html -
Buying Rose over Chambers two weeks ago is the difference between 6k odd and 26k odd. Grrr
-
Let it go Gilmore. Anger leads to hate 🙂
-
I am. Better out than in.
*burps
-
-
YEah, same here. I dropped 20k this week alone. It hurts.
-
Foster, Baines, Clyne, Aguero, Cesc and Chadli just about kept me treading water (dropped 168 places)
-
-
I'd hate to work out where I'd be if I didn't sell Costa in GW2...
-
That's where I draw the line 🙁
-
You need to let that one go as well 🙂
What about all the things you must have got right to be in the top 10k this early in the season-
Thanks for the positivity Zan 🙂
-
-
-
Wish I had got Aguero instead of Falcao before his 4 goal haul and kept Tadic instead of getting ADM right before his 23 pt haul 🙁
Don't remind me of all that
-
-
When Wally returns to full fitness is it better double up with Sanchez which probably means no other premium mid if Aguero, Costa and Baines are on the team.
Or Sanchez to Wally is what the the solution is.
Even in his short appearance, Walcott almost had a goal and seemed to be in the box all the time-
Bear in mind he was playing in junk time against an exhausted Burnley team
-
Yes he was but he is FPL gold. Have to fit him in somehow. Not sure how though
-
That he most certainly is. Can't wait to own him
-
He is - But so, it seems, is Sanchez. I am by no means afraid to double up if necessary though, but many won't.
Last year the people who did well mid season were those who quickly realised that Sterling+Sturridge was NOT too much liverpool!-
Sterling is flattered 😉
-
-
-
-
Hey Sunny.. Congrats on our win. The final it is!! Shame i had to play my WC this week and not the next 😳
Wally the first name on my teamsheet when fit. Going with oscar with 0.7 in the bank for Wally for when he plays a full 90. Baines, Sanchez, Adm, Wally, Aguero, Costa with West Ham attackers around em is the plan-
Though when Sturridge is back and Sterling is around 8.2 or so GW 11 i'll be very tempted to get him too 🙂
-
Hey Valar, yeah we are through 🙂
That seems to be a good plan, I'll try to fit in Azpi instead of Baines and see where that gets me if all the big mids keep up their form.
A WC this week will help you setup a good team for gw12 as well 🙂
-
-
Gonna try double up somehow
-
Thinking the same.
-
-
In Sanchez current form he is undroppable unless wally impacts Sanchez pitch time or involvement.
Wally may well be the best option for one of your other spots. I'd have no issue doubling up if he regains his best form-
Doubling up is well and good but the fact that with the double up, affording another premium mid like Fab/Haz/Adm will be really tough is what is confusing me
-
-
depends on Sanchez's form at that point
-
Good point. Wally will affect Sanchez's performances somehow I think. A more even distribution of points among the Arsenal team maybe
-
-
-
Sterling Welshit > Sanchez Sakho -4?
-
I did that for free
-
Show off 😉
Worth risking before champs league games? I can afford a few rises drops-
I could, but I figured it was worth the risk. I've always waited until Fri/Sat to make transfers and the effect on TV is massive. Very rarely do players actually get injured midweek.
-
Need to keep my eyes on the rises
-
Sanchez going up again tonight. Sterling dropping like a stone (although only 1 more this week)
-
Feck
-
-
-
-
-
-
Yeap I'll do it
-
Good moves
-
Done it already and Downing
-
-
Gonna do Silva + Welb --> Walcott + Rooney....many will say early...I don't mind a week GW Early
-
How to bring costa in? looks likely to be for a hit so i can have him vs wba
schemeichell, forster
baines, bertrand, chambers, taylor, duff
sanchez, ADM, Siggy, Fabregas, Boyd
Aguero, Wellbeck, Berahino
1.8 in the bank
A) Costa, 4mil keeper, 4,5 defender for Wellbeck, forster, bertrand (-8)
B) Costa, chadli for Berahino and ADM (-4)
C) Costa, 5,2def for welbeck, Baines (-4)
D) Costa, chadli, dowing for wellbeck, adm, boyd (-8)
E) other suggestions
Thanks -
How is this gw going forward?
Begovic
Baines - Clyne - Chambers
Alexis - ADM - Fab - Chadli
Aguero - Pelle - Sakho
Subs: Gilks, Marney, Moore, Pva-
Perfect bar Costa
-
Yea I got rid of Costa so I could fit in alexis and adm 🙁
-
-
-
Very pleased with Chadders yesterday 🙂
-
As usual, I had a terrible first 4-5 weeks but am now pulling myself up the rankings.
Anybody else tend to follow this pattern every year?
I'm genuinely considering next year just picking a starting squad with all the highest % ownership players. At least I can guarantee an 'average' start that way!-
My best seasons when I start crap
My worst is when I start well-
I guess that could be something to do with enforced wildcarding/ proactive transfers (because you are forced to sell)
Or just complacency?
Mind you a friend of mine has quit this year. no transfers for the last 3 weeks because he got about 30 points in the aguero4goal week. That's a shame because I'm sure he could've pulled it back.-
Wildcards have saved my bad starts
Wildcards ruined my good starts
🙂-
You are making me nervous about my - still possessed - wild card!!! 🙂
-
-
-
-
Same..had a horrible start now slowly gaining...
-
This is nothing on last season though. I was around 2 millionth after 5 gws last year, and only entered 100k in about GW35, finishing 28k.
What a grind!-
nice job!
-
-
-
I had a good start but I was starting to drop but then the WC got my season back on track
-
It does seem that wildcards are best used early rather than holding.
This year I was sure I'd hold onto it, thinking my team was OK. Then last week I spontaneously (and probably unsensibly!) activated it and it worked wonders. Don't think I'll ever hold it beyond GW10 in future.-
Last year or maybe the year before that, the FPL winner used his WC in gw2!
I was thinking about holding to it for the DGWs but had to play it as my team was completely shite
-
-
-
-
Please advice 😉
a / Sterling > Downing ?
b / Sterling and Sigurdsson > ADM and Downing? (-4) -
Morning guys! Would you ditch Eriksen for Downing?
-
Yes
-
I've had Downing at 4th mid for a while and while you'll get a few 2pointers, he is likely to prove excellent value if he continues to be integral to west ham's attacks.
-
-
any ideas on what to do?
Forster (McCarthy)
Chambers Baines Clyne (Moore Naylor)
downing ADM Haz Fabs (Boyd)
Aguero Welbeck Pelle
1FT, 0..4 -
Woah Sterling went down again!
-
I know. Trying to detect so pattern! Seems harsh...
-
-
How does Bego to Krul sound right now?
-
Yes
-
-
Who would you rather own at the moment? Di Maria or Sanchez?
Can only find room for one this week 🙁-
the one with 3 double figure hauls in a row.
-
Ah, but who has the double figure hauls in front of him? 😉 Di Maria v CPL does look a juicy fixture this week.
-
-
Sanchez.
I currently have sanchez+hazard. My main question this week is whether to hold transfer, or switch haz->ADM -
Sanchez. Get the form player
-
Everyone will say Sanchez becuase of his last few weeks, but I was more concerned by ADM yesterday - with Rooney back he looked more isolated.
-
Thanks for the insight 🙂
-
Same conclusion either way, so that confirms things I guess.
-
-
-
My load after a hit
Forster,
Baines, Bertrand, Wisdom
Sanchez, ADM, Hazard, Downing
Sahko, Aguero (C), Pelle
McCarthy, Boyd, Duff, Naylor
0 ITB-
Nice, so is Sahko likely to start?
-
He was close for the last game so I think he should play next weekend. I couldn't find much better at his value and fixtures
-
Yeah I have berahino but keeping an eye on sahko. Both have a good fix next, but then sahko's fixtures are far superior.
-
-
-
-
4 clean sheets and Sanchez still red arrow. Bloody chambers fingered me
-
😯
-
Not sure what that face means wishing I had chambers that's for sure 68 and red arrow is dissapointing Costa c was a big fail
-
-
-
Is Siggy to downing a bit knee jerky? Also what's the best site for price drops these days?
-
I think Siggy is the better player IMO but the fixtures not so kind compared to Chadli and Downing's games
-
After the next 2 gameweeks, Swans fixtures look great, so I would be reluctant to get rid of Sig. Perhaps consider Sakho up top?
-
Top 3 of kun Costa pelle so no changs happening there. Looking at downing to fre up some coin to do Bruce to chambers
-
Also, RD, he is quietly on the rise again ... assist-wise:
http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/5595/-
Thanks Doos (although I am not 100% sure who I should be looking at!)
-
-
-
-
Hi guys.. I want Pelle for the next 2 games and its doin my head in- please help id appreciate it thank you.
DeGea 4.0
Baines Clyne Wisdom Colo OShea
Sanchez DiMaria Tadic Siggy Wanyama
Aguero Welbeck Ulloa
2 FT , 1.5 ITB
foolishly I loaded up on Soton players (clyne, tadic, wanyama) without much though previously so if I want Pelle Ill need to unload one of them. Am I better off doing;
1) Tadic + Ulloa > Downing + Pelle
2) Wanyama + Welbeck > Boyd + Pelle
Looks very forced but Id rather make this mistake then to look back at Pelle's double figures for his next 2 games!!! As they say, better regret buying than regret not buying. Hahaha
Other ideas are very welcomed. Thanks!!-
A because Ulloa needs to go.
-
I mean 1, not A 😳
-
-
Ulloa was a complete flop. Welbeck may yet score. Do 1.
-
Option 1 looks good to me
-
1), imo.
-
Thank you for your responses..
-
-
Now what should we think about Harry Kane....?
-
Unbelievable value if he gets minutes
-
-
Heaton (McCarthy)
PVA - Clyne - Wisdom - (Moore, Duff)
Sig - Haz - Fab- Sterling (Boyd)
Kun - Pelle - Costa
2FT $0 ITB
Pick one:
A) Sterling + Sig + Fab -> Sanchez + Downing + Tadic & -4
B) Sterling + Sig + Clynne -> Sanchez + Downing + Dummett & -4
C) Pelle + Sterling -> Sakho + Sanchez -
How my team looking, what to do ?
Guzan, Elliot
Clyne, Chabers, Baines, S.Taylor, Moore
Hazard, Fabregas, Di maria, Alexis Sanchez, Boyd
Aguero, Welbeck, Sakho-
Pretty solid any coin left over?
-
0 in the bank 🙁
-
Missing a bit of Pelle for me
-
-
Looks good..either save or do Moore --> Yun
-
Thanks
-
-
-
Di Maria or Rooney?
if Chosen Di Maria...I can have a 9.1m Striker (haven't thought)
If Chosen Rooney...I can have a 9m Midfielder (Wally)-
Hm, its nice to have rooney and wally, but adm is the best utd player
-
Wally still not oven-ready ... nor will be for a while yet ... in the meantime ... :
http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/939/-
I can just do Silva --> Di Maria this week..and next week do
Pelle + Welbeck --> Austin + an expensive striker maybe-
I prefer this plan, me. Is Berahino too expensive?
-
Bera is not too expensive but QPR will have a great run of fixtures...
-
-
-
-
Di Maria with a pelle if you don't have him
-
ADM all day long over Rooney
-
thanks!
-
-
-
Eriksen > Walcott (-4)
If not then who?-
i'd wait for this...walcott won't be fully back before the international break and spurs have the better fixtures the next two gw imo...
-
Give him another week... Eriksen has Stoke at home and should still start, and then you can get Wally after the international break when he'll be more likely to start.
-
-
Downing vs. Siggy who'll win? the "Comparison Tool" is pretty clear...
-
What was the result I suspect downing
-
Stats Summary
68% overall
+8 key
what do you think? the fixtures of whm are great the next couple gw-
yeah downing is a juicy downgrade too
-
-
-
Downing I know 😉
-
Wow but the RMT has Siggy much higher up on points expected.
-
-
I'd get Southampton attacking cover for the next two gameweeks. Also as an aside, WBA defenders are great value these days.
-
Reply fail to Onum_nus

Hello, what a bad gameweek it has been and somehow tempted to wildcard now. Would you WC this lot?
Begovic
Baines, Bertrand, Naylor
Cesc, Tadic, Siggy, Eriksen
Pelle, Costa, Aguero
subs: Gilks, Chester, Dummett, Cattermole --- 1 FT, 0.1 ITB-
Or just Eriksen -> Downing
-
Probably not, you are only 3 or 4 trades away from where you want to be.
-
Cheers. Would you even save FT this week? Eriksen -> Downing crossed my mind and could free up some cash although Eriksen also has Stoke at home this week.
-
I like the Downing trade. Spurs are very inconsistent and Downing and West Ham are a revelation this season
-
-
-
That is actually a good team - but you have snookered yourself with both Costa AND Agüero.
Also, you need Fabianski to rotate with Begovic. I have, and it is not too late to fix that.-
There is merit in what you say, Doosra. I have been banging on for weeks that both Kun and Costa is detrimental to the rest of the squad. There will be weeks when both fire, but the players you can get with the extra funds should more than compensate
-
Thanks Doosra. Not so easy to fix goalkeepers when there are more urgent matters almost every week. :/ and naturally for a hit it would be madness. Your thoughts about Eriksen -> Downing trade this week?
-
Probably should have got rid of Costa earlier but just don't think it makes sense to ditch him now. Although it's tempting.
-
