The Gameweek rolls on with one of those “titanic clashes” between the Manchester rivals.

A potential feast for the neutral, City host United in an encounter that boasts a rich supply of attacking talent and a pair of suspect defences: there will surely be goals on offer. Fantasy managers will certainly be hoping that’s the case, with Sergio Aguero and Angel di Maria found in 25% and 38% of Fantasy Premier League squads respectively.

The team news from the Etihad finds Wayne Rooney making a return to the United lineup following suspension, with Juan Mata dropping to the bench as expected. Antonio Valencia earns a start, presumably at right-back, with Rafael missing out through injury sustained in training on Thursday. City are also forced into changes as David Silva sits out with a knee injury, while Edin Dzeko drops to the bench. Eliaquim Mangala is out of the City squad with reports suggesting that he’s nursing a hip problem – James Milner, Martin Demichelis and Stevan Jovetic all earn starts for Manuel Pellegrini. The Chilean has also been forced into a late change, with Aleks Kolarov injuring himself in the warm-up to be replaced by Gael Clichy.

The big derby clash is followed at 4pm by Tottenham’s trip to Aston Villa – a suitably stodgy dessert to follow today’s big roast.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Dunno what it would take for him to get the chance. Apparently not enough to score a hat trick midweek...

Is anything worth a hit here?

I personally am considering Siggy :arrow ADM, or maybe Welbeck ➡ up to 11.4M forward

      Welbeck > Sakho

      Then next week:
      Pelle > Aguero

Then again, you could just not take a hit, and afford Pelle > Aguero for free, perhaps?

Any reason to get Dummett at 4.0 over Steven Taylor at 3.9?

    1. Heydudes13
      11 years, 11 months ago

Steven Taylor will just be a calamity waiting to happen, red card, shit performance, dropped etc. Don't bother with him, go with Dummett.

      1. Heydudes13

        S. Taylor is also really injury prone.

    ADM ➡ Sanchez
    Bego ➡ Foster

      1. 7shadesofsmoke

I am tempted when Sanchez is scoring and United are looking so vulnerable.

United are under a lot of pressure right now, the system is all over the place there.

    3. S.Kuqi

      1. 7shadesofsmoke

I don't want to drop ADM, but in terms of my budget, its the only real solution to getting Sanchez in

      11 years, 11 months ago

      ADM to Sanchez looks sideways.

    5. Ludo
      11 years, 11 months ago

Yes. ADM is great, second best midfield pick out there imo.

Sanchez has got 10 goals and 2 assists in his last 11 starts for Arsenal though - no-one else is going to come anywhere close to that - it's Costa/Aguero like levels of performance, but he gets even more points for it from midfield.

      Boyd is worth losing Sterling.

    4. Rats Ass

He's scoring more goals than forwards who cost more. So not expensive in that context.

    5. Heydudes13
      11 years, 11 months ago

      Worth losing Sterling for.

Sterling looks like he's only capable of little scores to keep owners fairly happy in this current Liverpool side without Sturridge. It's not like he looks like he's about to explode with points.

      1. Owd Big 'Ed
        11 years, 11 months ago

One more then Sturridge is back after the international GW, with good fixtures.

Liverpool need to be careful to avoid the identity crisis Spurs have had since selling Bale. Suarez is as irreplaceable as Bale was for all but a few clubs in the world, and I get a feeling that a similar cast of 10-20m signings once again can't add up to one galactically priced superstar.

Tempted to put Pelle back in if I'm honest. Been out a week and I've realized I can re-afford him if I ditch Luis for Chamberrs.

Opinion on Aguero, Costa & Pelle strike force for the entire season? Give or take a few weeks depending on injuries/form.

While probably the dream team of strikers, eats up too much budget for me. Going with Aguero, Pelle, Berahino to allow me to stock up on other attacking players (ADM, Sanchez, Fab, Baines - ok, Baines is defender but still attacks) as well as good mid priced midfielders (Siggy/Downing)

Would bring in Costa to replace Kun if he gets hurts, but don't plan on Costa/Kun partnership up front.

Loving the options this year. And to be fair the changes in price rises has meant it is impossible this year to get everyone you want. It's usually easy to see what the 'perfect' team is, but that's not the case any more.

Leaving out Hazard and Aguero has been horrible, but can't see a viable route to owning them. Living on the edge 🙂

    Probably annoying question:

Went down to 50k yesterday, had Aguero (6p + 2 BP) and Di Maria (2p) playing today.
Will I get a green arrow?
