Gameweek 10 comes to its conclusion under the Selhurst Park lights this evening as Palace prepare for the visit of Sunderland.

Neil Warnock’s side have been decent at the back in front of their own fans, with two clean sheets in their last three home matches, and Fantasy faith in the likes of Julian Speroni and Joel Ward will be understandably strengthened tonight, bearing in mind the Black Cats have failed to score in each of their last three road trips.

Further up the field, budget striker Fraizer Campbell is looking to score for the third successive home encounter, having netted against Leicester and Chelsea in recent matches. Wide right, Wilfried Zaha will be desperate to turn on the style – having ousted Jason Puncheon from the XI last time around, the youngster is ineligible to face parent club United next weekend and will be looking to ensure he remains ahead of his fellow winger in the pecking order.

Gus Poyet’s side have scored in one of the last five and are still licking their wounds after an 8-0 mauling at Southampton in their previous away match. The Black Cats are afforded slight reason for optimism, though, with their hosts conceding at least twice in four of their last five.

Tonight’s team sheet gives Vito Mannone owners cause for concern, though – the Italian is replaced by Costel Pantilimon between the posts in one of four changes as Poyet goes in search of a first away win of the season.

    Chaps, need Jedinak advice.

    A) Bench Jedi for United, back for Liverpool and play 4 at the back (Baines Bert Chamb Wisdom)

    Or

    B) Take a hit and drop Krul (own Lloris) to free up 0.5m to do Jedi > Diame.

    Advice greatly appreciated.

He can do that by dumping Lloris instead of Krul. Don't know why anyone has Lloris in the first place. And yes, I am a regretful Lloris owner.

Last two weeks have cost me owning him (Krul got a cleanie) but two good spurs fixtures coming up. How do I justify dropping him and for who?

No justification needed, as Tottenham have a crap defense. Go with Elliott and give up the idea of rotation would be my advice. At least then you only have one unreliable GK to choose from

Moyes had the champions. Van Gaal lost 3 experienced heads from our backline in Rio, Vida and Evra in one summer and changed half the XI in one window.

This isn't FIFA, you don't just buy players and they all respond to your controller the same.

People that can't understand that are just thick or wums.

and nice try at a windup.

He lost a Rio who can't get into the QPR team, an aging Vidic and an average Evra, and bought Di Maria, Herrera, Blind, Shaw, Falcao, Rojo.

It may take time, but there is no excuse for LvG start, especially getting battered by MK Dons.

Do you want a crap United fan's reply or a true one?

Moyes wasn't given enough time or respect imo. However, he did make a number of errors such as clearing out the entire support staff immediately which was a poor decision except for bringing in Chris Woods, I though De Gea flourished under him. Bad attitudes at the club, bad players hiding under a mask of previous club success and escaping being caught out, Moyes never really had the chance to deal with any of these.

In steps LVG, who has to shed a bunch of players and then look at re-establishing a whole new system at United. It hasn't been smooth, a lot of the money spent has been needed after a number of years of underinvestment (relative to the club's aims and ambitions) but it is for the long term instead of the immediate short term. They had a very poor introductory period and have finally it seems begun to settle on a system that is working better, is Smalling hadn't been a dope that could have been a very different City game. However there are still issues, the defenders are mostly hopeless (Shaw looking decent though) and RVP still nowhere near what he was/should be which is causing me some serious concern.

A runaway team full of spoilt brats and big egos is not easy to get a hold of, Moyes couldn't do it unfortunately but wasn't given the time to do it either, LVG is doing it better but it doesn't mean that it won't take a while to get it fully under control again.

If all three promoted teams go down it will go a long way to prove the Premier League has lost it's way. The money in the EPL has pulled the ladder up for those below and the transfer market is asking silly money for even half decent Championship players.

Unless you are already established 'big team' or backed by a multi millionaire it's nigh on impossible to compete on a level pegging.

Rubbish. When Stoke came up we were told about this 'magical' Premier League where the football was so much better and we would be out of our depth. Reality is, it's bang average for the most part.

Not a lot between 12 teams in the league really. Then you have the top 7 and a couple more who put in a freakish season (Swansea, West Brom, Newcastle etc.).

I can see Leicester and Burnley dropping, but not QPR.

Stoke came up in 2008(?) and the market was a little better. Now a days you the likes of Troy Deeney will cost you 10million +

QPR and Leicester may have a chance because they owners have combined wealth in the hundreds of millions but that the point I'm making.

Problem is Costa/Aguero/Sanchez-I think 2 out of 3 are essential but difficult to pick all three. Therefore one of Costa and Aguero as there are other good cheaper forward choices.

I think I'm going Aguero Sanchez honestly...while Aguero is injury prone, it's not a chronic thing like it is with Costa..also Pelle seems to have learned his lesson re: injury management on Kun

Nope. Too many question marks about him but when on fire he is a great player to have. Those two sentences are applicable to 5-10 players in the game.

He is not yet in the Suarez, RVP, Ronaldo bracket. Also with the mid to low prices are offering a lot of value that allow you to invest elsewhere that can match output

yeah I think I need to get in Sanchez and be rid of Sterling and am considering Sterling + Costa > Sanchez + X

I got shot of those two in the last couple of weeks and it has worked out well. Even though Costa has a good fixture in WBA this is after the international break and who knows what Del Bosque has in store.

I personally like the look of Austin and Sakho should he get fit. I think Austin can grab a goal against City then the fixtures look good.

I've got 3.9m in the bank but i've already done a tranfer.

Would it be a waste of capital (and hence points) not to bring in a bigger player.

cost -4 but logic would suggest I would recoup some of those points.

    e.g. Siggy -> ADM

    Thoughts?

Absolutely do that transfer. You'll make up those 4 points and about 20 more over the next four weeks.

    Tadic Sterling ADM Siggy Boyd
    Pelle Augero Welbeck

I have had a bad couple of GWs (GW 9 = 28 pts, this week looks like 49pts)
Total points 504 after this week.
Lost ground in a couple of Minileagues and wondering
    A) Wild card now and get Sanchez before further points rise,
    B) WC after the Champ league matches but risk losing further TV
    C) Take a couple of hits but save WC - open to suggestions.

    Cheers for help.

Try drop Sterling now. Maybe Sanchez & Sakho in for Welbeck & Sterling.

Shawcross has a poor run of fixtures coming, as does Clyne. You also don't want all 3 of Clyne, Pelle & Tadic, as Southampton's fixtures become terrible.

It may be worth wildcarding during the international break.

I know it looks like hunting for yesterday's points, but it's actually about finding a player to make Di Maria in viable.

Could Fletcher actually be something? It would mean Welbeck -> Fletcher and Sterling -> Di Maria, now that I can't afford Sakho or Austin

I can actually do Sterling and Welbeck to Sanchez and Fletcher. Why the deck did he have to score a brace tonight 😆
