Mikel Arteta is ruled out of Arseanl’s trip to Sunderland. Diafra Sakho and Winston Reid are back in training for the Hammers, though Alan Hutton remains sidelined as Villa roll up to Upton Park. Vincent Kompany is a doubt for City and is set for calf scans, Joey Barton is back for QPR as the injuries ease for Harry Redknapp, whilst Gareth Barry is doubtful after picking up leg and ankle issues for Everton in last night’s win over Lille.

Arsene Wenger will welcome Jack Wilshere back into the fold following a bout of illness. He could come straight into the engine room to replace Mikel Arteta: the Gunners skipper is ruled out with a hamstring injury. Swansea host Arsenal at the Liberty Stadium and they’ll be without Jonjo Shelvey through suspension – Spurs loanee, Tom Carroll, will likely get the opportunity to get one over on their north London rivals with a start in the Swans midfield.

Former budget favourite, Alan Hutton misses out for Villa, who mark the now-daunting trip to West Ham without the suspended Christan Benteke. The Hammers are priming Diafra Sakho for action – the Senegal striker is expected to be named in Sam Allardyce’s starting lineup after recovering from shoulder injury. Winston Reid is also available to reinforce the backline against a Villa side with a single goal in their last six.

Neil Warnock will have Damien Delaney back in his squad for the trip to Old Trafford after illness, although he’ll have to do without both Wilfried Zaha who is ineligible and skipper Mile Jedinak through suspension. United will have little sympathy – Louis van Gaal will be forced into fielding a makeshift back four against the Eagles, with Marco Rojo ruled out, Chris Smalling suspended and Rafael a doubt.

Harry Redknapp is cheered by the return of Joey Barton and Jordan Mutch in his midfield, while Nedum Onouha is also back in contention in the R’s rearguard ahead of their Loftus Road meet with City. Vincent Kompany is a concern for Manuel Pellegrini – he’s a doubt with a calf problem.

Gareth Barry is a doubt for Everton’s visit to the Statdium of Light after sustaining injury in last night’s Europa League tie – Everton are also without Antolin Alcaraz with a shoulder injury. The Black Cats also have issues with Patrick van Aanholt ruled out with, you’ve guessed it, another dislocated shoulder. Lee Cattermole also serves his first suspension of the season.

We’ve collated all this and more in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news throughout the day.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Hello guys,

    Would you mind of helping me decide - Alexis, Di Maria or Pelle for the captain?

      All very strong options.

      I'd probably go for Alexis if I had him, form is so strong.

      Going with Pelle myself. Can see Arsenal going into their shells a bit and Swansea good at home. Not convinced on ADM's consistency and impact of Rooney being back

        Seems a good pick to me. adms home form is too good to ignore though for me so taking the risk. Cpl are dreadful this year too.

      Out of them 3 my order would be

      Pelle - Leicester leak goals
      ADM - Cry look awful at the moment
      Sanchez - in form but swansea wont be a walk in the park

            Why not not Tadic? Never said he wasn't a decent choice for the armband! 🙂

            I don't own him myself though, which might be the main motivation behind me not including him when I have a look at the different potential Captains' prospects.
            Also, probably because he's one of the less popular choices amongst the many big hitters users on here own. 🙂

                Sorry, broke into two parts. Skimpy reply, and then an extended one that hopefully isn't rubbish 😆

                He is indeed though, spot kicks, corners and free kicks only add to his appeal. Surely Southampton will get a penalty soon! Especially with the now pace and trickery of Sadio Mane.

              As to captaining him, he's a good captain choice this week. Although, I feel there are better options in your team you could captain, like Pelle for example.

              This is the type of game where Tadic could very well explode like he did against Sunderland, a couple of assists and potentially a goal. He could do very well against a leaky Leicester away defence. (this is coming from someone who just sold him this week). Thing is, he's been sort of inconsistent this season, I know you may not share this view, but his output hasn't been very well spread over the gameweeks and it's hard to predict when these "explosions" might come.

              This could very well be the week though...and considering that Mane & Pelle are now their two main goalscorers(in my opinion at least) and that their main/only feeder is Tadic. The Serb could have a field day this weekend. Goals might be spread between Mane & Pelle(Favouring Pelle though 😉 ) but the assists for both of them will more likely than not come from the one and only Dusan Tadic..

              Hope this actually helps and isn't just me ranting on about nonsense. 😆
              Writing this has done nothing for my confidence as a pre- GW 11 Tadic Seller 😆

              Good luck Doosra!

                  It's not particularly conclusive, but basically I recommend you captain Pelle over Tadic but if you wish to do the opposite, it's really not that bad a thing and you could very well be right in doing so.

    Following on from Justbetters odds idea comparing Pelle (1st) with Aguero (2nd)

    Anytime: 6/5 : 8/13
    2 Goals : 6/1 : 13/5
    3 Goals: 25/1: 9/1

    Also Team Betting Ston (1st) City (2nd)

    -1: 5/4 13/10
    -2: 10/3 10/3

    Over 2.5 Goals: 4/6 4/7
    Over 3.5 Goals: 7/4 6/4

    From this we can see that both teams are more less just as likely to win with City more likely to win by a margin and be involved in more of a goal fest.

    Also it seems that there is a huge difference in the likelyhood that Aguero will go nuts if he scores at all and also combined with team odds implies that Aguero is much more likely to be involved in a goal.

    For me it answers the Aguero/Pelle captain argument!

    Iam playing catch up before the internation break any changes needed to this team?

    Forster(Mannone)

    Baines Clyne Ivanovic (Naylor)(Duff)

    Chadli Arfield Fabregas Sanchez (Rouledge)

    Aguero Berahino Pelle 1.0 in the bank..i have money tied in defence if changes needed?

    What are peoples views on Naughton? He played 90 mins against Villa last gw and he did not feature in the european cup, so he should start this gw. Got two free transfers and my thoughts are;

    Welbeck, Silva and Cahill out, Aguero, Downing and Naugthon inn for a -4. Would give me this team;

    Krul/Green
    Wisdom - Naughton - Alderweireld - (Moore) - (Duff)
    Tadic - Sanchez - Downing - Hazard - (Siggy)
    Berahino - Aguero - Costa

    "Miles's prediction: Liverpool have lost their spark and while Chelsea are pushing forward more this season, they have kept their defensive solidity. They are just not letting in any goals. 0-2"

    Erm yes they are miles. They're letting in quite a lot of goals ... I actually fancy sterling to get something out of this game.

      Chelsea have conceded 6 goals in 6 games and 3 of those games were against City, Arsenal and United. 2-0 Chelsea without breaking a sweat.

    G'day gentlemen, do we expect City to bounce back and trash QPR or will their shitty form continue?

      Not that their form is THAT bad, I just had the Wham + CSKA game in mind..

        Not a bad bet. Might go with my gut and drop Kun as my (c)

      Pelle(C) > Kun(C) if that was your motivation behind this 😉

      2-1 to City, IMO.

    Is this good tactic? To change 3rd cheap striker (Sakho, Austin, Crouch) every/every 2 GW depends on their opponent. 🙂

    Feel free to write your thoughts.

        I can't decide between Sakho and Austin. And in GW 12 Crouch got Burnley, so I was thinking about that.

      You'll end up taking loads of hits from running out of transfers. I'd very rarely recommend buying someone you plan to sell in 2 GWs, and you'd need such luck to catch their goals.

    So is Costa being out of the Spain squad good or bad for him as a prospect? Why would he not be called up for Spain if he was fit?

    1. Valar(Keith)

      Cause of the 2 weeks of bad mouthing and complaining Mourinho gave Del Bosque the last time Costa was included and played 2 games 2 weeks ago

    Foster

    Bertand / Baines / Chambers

    Fabregas / Siggy / Tadic / Downing (Chadli)

    Costa / Aguero (c) / Welbeck

    What changes would people make here save the FT, got 1.1 million in bank but feel I am lacking another big hitter in midfield?

      Yeah, you are. Id go Welbeck - Sakho/Berahino and upgrade Siggy

    Vs
    Forster
    Clyne, Baines, Ivanovic
    Fabregas, Eriksen, Di Maria, Schneiderlin/Siggy
    Costa, Sakho, Welbeck

    I really wish the Swa vs Ars game was Saturday lunchtime, so I could take the Sanchez pain early doors and move on... the Monday night punishment will hang over my weekend like a dark, cloud that has travelled over the Atlantic from Chile.

    Heaton
    Baines, Ivanovic, Clyne
    Downing, Di Maria, Tadic, Fabregas
    Pelle, Costa, Berahino

    Hamer:: Shawcross; Duff; King

    Thinking of some serious surgery to the team over the next six weeks, any ideas as to how to go about that?

    Thinking of:
    Berahino -> Sakho
    Fabregas -> Oscar
    Heaton -> Fabianski
