As we brace ourselves for yet another international break, we turn to Saturday and Sundayโ€™s fixtures and delve into the data in our first members article of the week. We assess Southamptonโ€™s chief creator and main frontman as the points start to dry up, cast an eye over Chelseaโ€™s penalty box predator, Man Cityโ€™s talismanic Argentine and Newcastleโ€™s recent defensive displays as the clean sheets keep coming for Alan Pardewโ€™s men.

Evening all, season has gone from worse to worse, been holding the WC thinking ill use ut to catch my rivals but now i find myself at 800k and 90 points behind the leader..

If i dont do something I wont have the chance to catch them.. Thinking it could be time to pull the trigger now and take advantage of any rises.. Would really REALLY appreciate some feedback.. Current team is listed below...

    Begovic // Myhill
    Bertrand // Naylor // Chester // Lovren // Moore
    ADM // Sanchez // Hazard // Tadic // Boyd
    Welbeck // Sakho // Costa

      WC would be something like:

      Adrian // Heaton
      Dummet // Naylor // Wisdom // Yun // Azpill
      Siggy // Sanchez // Downing // Hazard // Boyd
      Aguero // Austin // Costa

๐Ÿ˜€ look below, thinking the same, although I am leading by 70 points in my mini-league ๐Ÿ˜‰

anywayz, I do not see a reason why you should wildcard, the only thing really missing from your team is Aguero which can be managed with a hit, like downgrade Hazard and upgrade Welbeck

I'd do Hazard, as you will not have United attacking cover for their "nice" run of fixtures

If I were to WC my team would be sometihng like this:

      Foster Krul
      Baines Chambers Naylor Wisdom 3.9
      ADM Fabregas Siggy Downing Boyd
      Aguero Costa Austin

Haven't really thought of the budget though, I could probably afford an upgrade to Azpi I think, or in midfield to a bigger hitter.

im not a big believer that sanchez is the untouchable goddess most on here make him out to be.

until 4 weeks ago all the rage was ADM ADM ADM.... now its sanchez this, sanchez that... guess what: fixtures do matter, and sanchez's get tougher very quickly now after the easiest run he'll have all season most likely.

Shall I Wildcard or not ?

    Current team:

    Krul
    Bertrand Baines Duff
    Eriksen Tadic AdM Fabregas
    D.Costa Welbz Pelle

    Foster Boyd Naylor PvA

    I already knee-jerked a -4 transfer last night to do Pelle & Fabre > Downing & Aguero.

Is it worth a wildcard which I can manage this team or something similar?

    Krul Foster
    Baines Naylor Janmaat (Vlaar Duff)
    A.Sanchez Chadli AdM Downing (Boyd)
    Aguero Austin D.Costa

I haven't calculated the costs, but you could probably get pretty close to the team you want with -8 this week and -8 next week, so it depends whether you value the wildcard at 16 points I guess.

      - Keepers are perfect, exactly what i'd pick on a WC.
      - Defense is solid. PVA isn't a big burden, and tbh neither is bertrand since you have duff and naylor who can cover his bad fixtures. Burnley is great cover for Saints players.
      - Eriksen needs to go. Not playing 90 minutes is a red flag, the others are fine for now.
      - fwd's looking good, having welbeck isnt the end of the world... he's playing United next and his pace should be great against their defense. Pelle is still Saints' top man up front so even in hard fixtures he should score some.

Don't WC. Would take a hit on Eriksen if necessary though as you need players who are guaranteed to start.

I really appreciate you taking the time to give me such a long reply. But, I already knee-jerked a -4 transfer last night to do Pelle & Fabre > Downing & Aguero. Would you take a -8 to get rid of Eriksen for say Chadli ?

I have never taken this game seriously and been playing for 8 years now. But this year, I am playing huge money leagues so pressure is intense, which led me to my first ever knee-jerk ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ah sorry, those kneejerks change it all. Just get rid of eriksen then i guess, perhaps wait until the end of the break though, or gw13 to get siggy, otherwise do chadli now

Are you expecting a return away to Newcastle? Or is Austin now so vital for the Leicester game (the best part of a month away!!!!) that you have to buy him now? I understand the price rise is nice but in this case it seems mental!

yeah true, austin is in form and when a striker is in form can score against anyone but I get what you are saying.

Will hold off and assess the situation

so easy just to want to make the transfer, hardest part is not doing it and being sensible

btw... if you ARE expecting him to continue his form at Newcastle then off it's a good move. He may well do but Newcastle are bang in form and Austin's away stats having been too promising so far from what i understand

Just PvA, Austin isn't going to mental away at Newcastle to cover the hit, and Berahino might even get a consolation pen at Chelsea

Fabregas and Tadic --> Di Maria and Chadli/Downing (-4)

I have a gut feeling that Di Maria is going to explode now that a lot of people are losing the faith in him, Fab almost suspension time and could be injured... Too risky?

My plan coming into next gwk was to do Pelle - > Costa

I can afford Costa to rise 0.1 but no more than that. Is there any reason not to do it? My squad is

        Begovic

Bertrand Rose Baines ( Duff Hutton )

Fabregas Siggy Chadli Sanchez ( Marney )

        Aguero Sakho Pelle

Scores proper goals though and actually attacks. Yaya ruined everyone with his run of fk's at the start of the season and pens with aguero off the pitch.

Yeah, this is why I'm torn far more than I was with Yaya (hence why he's worse in Muppet's sense of pissing some FPL players off). The stats suggest he can't keep this up, but when you watch Chadli he does seem dangerous.

Looking for ideas on transfers this week

          Begovic
          Chambers, Moore, Baines
          Chadli, Fabregas, Tadic, Gylfi
          Costa, Aguero, Pelle

          Krul / Naylor / Wisdom / Marney

          2 free transfers + £2.1m

Would like Austin or Sakho but can't really justify taking Pelle out before Villa.
Sanchez is killing me but he can wait i think.

you told me your rank, then of the 10 or so people ranked 5,261 only 2 scored 71, of those 2 only one was called young pretender http://blog.tvguide.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/Jonathan_Creek.jpg

tbh i suspected it as a red arrow with that score does seem surprising, even a red with 67 is a slight surprise.

What's your view? Kinda thinking the spot is his with Dummett moved inside from left back you'd imagine Taylor would come back in.

if he had 5 shots would it have made him more worthy? arguably less worthy. do agree that there were better candidates for 3bps though even if him and ox did make most things happen for them

so annoying that he got 3baps, he did nothing apart from one tap in. expect more than 1 attempt on goal and 2 touches in the box for a guy to get the 3baps, especially when 2 others also score...

Yes. He can't do anything wrong right now. Been impeccable at CB, and Pardew is loving him. Should go back to LB when Taylor returns i think
