With the third international break of the season upon us, we’re afforded time to assess the leader contenders in the Fantasy Football Scout leagues across in a variety of games. With leagues in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Ultimate Fantasy Premier League, Sky Sports and the Fantasy iTeam (FiT) Champions League game, there’s plenty to catch up on.

Fantasy Premier League

Adam Stuckert sits atop the Scout League with a total of 758 points after the first 11 Gameweeks. Adam – who notched 72 points in the previous round of fixtures – had the likes of Tim Krul, Nathaniel Clyne, Leighton Baines, Alexis Sanchez, Sergio Aguero and captain Graziano Pelle to thank for steering him to number one in the overall standings.

Vasil Raykov is just seven points behind in second spot, or third overall. He also has the likes of Baines, Clyne, Sanchez, Pelle and Aguero on board, with Brad Guzan, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Nacer Chadli and Diego Costa amongst his starters as he racked up 89 points last time around despite, like Adam, handing the armband to Pelle. Intriguingly, Vasil is the only one of our top five to have played his wildcard at this stage.

In third spot sits Matthew Furlong, on the back of a 92-point Gameweek 11. His decision to captain Aguero paid off handsomely, with the usual suspects such as Baines, Clyne, Sanchez, Sigurdsson, Chadli and Costa all amongst the points last time around.

Matthew sits just one point ahead of both Petter Gullestad and Mariusz Fyrstenberg. Petter registered 79 points in Gameweek 11, with his decision to captain Aguero reaping rewards, whilst he also had the likes of Baines, Sigurdsson and Sanchez as part of his starting XI. Another one to hand the armband to Aguero, Mariusz delivered 82 points – he’ll be hoping his decision to retain United’s Angel di Maria will prove a differential amongst our top five.

Thanks to those five managers, we’re currently retaining our spot at the top of the League of Leagues. You can join our classic league using the code 11856-4526.

Hitesh Gulati is a new entry at number one in the Scout Members league, which sits fifth in the league of leagues. He sits fifth in the overall standings, despite deciding to ignore the consistent Leighton Baines to this point, with 749 points accrued. Peter Chesley earns second spot with a total of 731 points, just edging Matt Summers into third by a single point.

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League

Lawrence White is the leader of our UFPL Scout league, after a 99-point haul in Gameweek 11 took his total to 884 for the season – second overall. Joe Hanmer is in second spot with his total of 869 points placing him 13th in the world, whilst Geoff Shotter is 13 points further behind in third spot. To join our UFPL league, use the code 524-87.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Jason Callender leads the way in the Scout league with a total of 826 points – that’s enough for third place in the overall standings and earns him a 38-point lead over our second place manager, Ryan Hutton. Martin Smith takes third spot after Gameweek 13 of the Sky Sports offering, with a total of 782 points helping to 32nd spot overall. The winner of our Sky league, which is also top in the league of leagues, wins £1,000. To join up, the league name is FFScout and the code is 8009000.

Champions League

Our official Champions League game this season is the Fantasy iTeam (FiT) offering – a free, reliable and easy-to-use Fantasy football app. After four rounds of Matchdays, Daniel Lord heads the Scout League with 328 points, whilst Waleed Cherif (314 points) and Simon Gow, on 313 points, grab second and third respectively. There’s an iPad mini on offer to the winner – the league name is Fantasy Football Scout and the pin is 11155.

We’ve set up another league for those still following the official Champions League game. Simon Butt is the leader on 316 points – 28th overall – and is followed by sidharth91 and gkalaf on 315 and 313 points respectively.

My favourite Aussie phrase is cracking the shits, shortened to cracked it. Basically means having a bit of a temper tantrum about something like a child.

For example mourinho cracked it with the Spanish FA when Costa returned a bit tired with sore hamstring after playing for Spain.

Its the Police State rolling into action. First comes the tasers, then come the bullets

Did you know for example that the DHS (Dep. Homeland Security) bought 1.6 billion (yes, Billion!) rounds of ammunition in 2012?

The story has been covered by a number of reputable news agencies, including Forbes as I copied above. You can do your own research but I'm sure you will find that to be true.

Now why would DHS need enough bullets to sustain a domestic war for 25 years, with an average of 5 bullets per citizen?

I'm not speculating or "conspiring" here, I'm just stating facts and asking a straightforward question.

    -------------------- Guzan --------------------
    --------- Baines // Clyne // Duff -----
    --- ADM // Sanchez // Tadic // Boyd ---
    -------- Aguero // Costa // Pelle ---------

    Elliot // Moore // Marney // Wisdom

    0.1 in the bank, 1FT

I'm thinking of saving and doing Boyd + Pelle > Siggy + Sahko/Austin next week

Any other suggestions? Hold on to Baines??

Yeah you'll want to move away from having boyd as your 4th mid when there's so much value on the table.

I'd probably do Tadic>Siggy and Boyd>Downing if you can afford it though, keep Pelle

Would Mourinho really want Costa to play soft to avoid the yellow? His intensity is what his game is built on, and a one match suspension may be better than 4-5 matches playing ultra carefully.

As a side point I think it is ridiculous that prem and league cup games share the same ban.

He just needs to avoid YC for stupid tackles (e.g. the yellow against Liverpool). It is a lot easier for him to avoid a yellow than a defender, say.

Like Cirez pointed out Fernandez injured. Just 1 is enough I think. They are no Saints.

How many games do you think Costa will play GW 13-15 ?

    29/11-Sund (a) 17:30
    03/12-Spurs (h)19:45
    06/12-Newcastle (a) 12:45

If he can't play two games in one week then it is possible he will just play the Spurs game ?

He'll probably be on the bench for the Spurs game and come on if needed, and start the other two.

why can’t he play two games in a week? did Mourinho say that?

Long time ago. People are taking those words for granted. I think he'll start all 3 of them.

I just Gargatron'd my team but I'm unclear on what it really tells me that I didn't already know.

Exactly, that's what I've been saying all along.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great tool, but I only use it to check how far I'm behind a specific rank.

I know exactly what I've done wrong the last three weeks...4;4;10 just ain't good enough for a captain.

It can be interesting though. I remember 2 seasons ago my vice captain outscored my captain all season. After realising that I completely changed my style and picked very safe captains, often going by bookmakers' odds.

Admittedly the season I messed up my captains was my best ever, though 🙄

You should always pick the safe captain.

Its not really that useful apart from perhaps the captain scores and rankings summary

It can be fairly useful though to show you if your strategy is working or not. For example, my Captain score as % of your highest possible captain score is 47.52%, which tells me that about half the time I've picked the right captain, which when you think about it is actually not bad considering that there are always 11 players who could each potentially score highest in a given week, so to guess the top scorer 50% of the time is fine.

If that number was really low however, I'd know that I need to stop punting and try to find an approach that's more consistent, like sticking in on Aguero every week for instance.

Yun has some good home fixtures coming up and QPR have looked good at home. He might be worth a shot and is only 3.9m, so getting him would allow you to upgrade your SOT defender to someone like Azpi in the near future.

This could be a very interesting hokey pokey final if Baines and Cesc don't make the GW.

What's your crystal ball saying, who will score more over the next 4 GWs?

    A: Di Maria, Pelle
    B: Downing, Diego Costa (-4)

50/50 but Costa is on 4 yellows. i made the change when Fabregas injurred and seems as though tricks are being played with Spain international duty and I only realised the yellows too late. My fault entirely.

Well, here is a nice little stat from my gargatron:

    Total score of autosubs 2

    😆

      11 years, 1 month ago

haha, I have 2 points from that as well 😛

Doesn't tell me much however, apart from the fact that I've done a good job selecting 11 players who are sure starters. Maybe I don't need to send so much money on my bench though, or, perhaps the fact that I do have a strong bench with rotation allows me to avoid having to use autosubs... works both ways 🙂
