With the third international break of the season upon us, we’re afforded time to assess the leader contenders in the Fantasy Football Scout leagues across in a variety of games. With leagues in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Ultimate Fantasy Premier League, Sky Sports and the Fantasy iTeam (FiT) Champions League game, there’s plenty to catch up on.

Fantasy Premier League

Adam Stuckert sits atop the Scout League with a total of 758 points after the first 11 Gameweeks. Adam – who notched 72 points in the previous round of fixtures – had the likes of Tim Krul, Nathaniel Clyne, Leighton Baines, Alexis Sanchez, Sergio Aguero and captain Graziano Pelle to thank for steering him to number one in the overall standings.

Vasil Raykov is just seven points behind in second spot, or third overall. He also has the likes of Baines, Clyne, Sanchez, Pelle and Aguero on board, with Brad Guzan, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Nacer Chadli and Diego Costa amongst his starters as he racked up 89 points last time around despite, like Adam, handing the armband to Pelle. Intriguingly, Vasil is the only one of our top five to have played his wildcard at this stage.

In third spot sits Matthew Furlong, on the back of a 92-point Gameweek 11. His decision to captain Aguero paid off handsomely, with the usual suspects such as Baines, Clyne, Sanchez, Sigurdsson, Chadli and Costa all amongst the points last time around.

Matthew sits just one point ahead of both Petter Gullestad and Mariusz Fyrstenberg. Petter registered 79 points in Gameweek 11, with his decision to captain Aguero reaping rewards, whilst he also had the likes of Baines, Sigurdsson and Sanchez as part of his starting XI. Another one to hand the armband to Aguero, Mariusz delivered 82 points – he’ll be hoping his decision to retain United’s Angel di Maria will prove a differential amongst our top five.

Thanks to those five managers, we’re currently retaining our spot at the top of the League of Leagues. You can join our classic league using the code 11856-4526.

Hitesh Gulati is a new entry at number one in the Scout Members league, which sits fifth in the league of leagues. He sits fifth in the overall standings, despite deciding to ignore the consistent Leighton Baines to this point, with 749 points accrued. Peter Chesley earns second spot with a total of 731 points, just edging Matt Summers into third by a single point.

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League

Lawrence White is the leader of our UFPL Scout league, after a 99-point haul in Gameweek 11 took his total to 884 for the season – second overall. Joe Hanmer is in second spot with his total of 869 points placing him 13th in the world, whilst Geoff Shotter is 13 points further behind in third spot. To join our UFPL league, use the code 524-87.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Jason Callender leads the way in the Scout league with a total of 826 points – that’s enough for third place in the overall standings and earns him a 38-point lead over our second place manager, Ryan Hutton. Martin Smith takes third spot after Gameweek 13 of the Sky Sports offering, with a total of 782 points helping to 32nd spot overall. The winner of our Sky league, which is also top in the league of leagues, wins £1,000. To join up, the league name is FFScout and the code is 8009000.

Champions League

Our official Champions League game this season is the Fantasy iTeam (FiT) offering – a free, reliable and easy-to-use Fantasy football app. After four rounds of Matchdays, Daniel Lord heads the Scout League with 328 points, whilst Waleed Cherif (314 points) and Simon Gow, on 313 points, grab second and third respectively. There’s an iPad mini on offer to the winner – the league name is Fantasy Football Scout and the pin is 11155.

We’ve set up another league for those still following the official Champions League game. Simon Butt is the leader on 316 points – 28th overall – and is followed by sidharth91 and gkalaf on 315 and 313 points respectively.

And yes, if you bookmark this, you can guarantee Hazard will get a haul this weekend and make me look very, very silly. 😀

Certainly not worth it if he has no penos, but are you accounting for assists and bonus points he's accrued since then too? I bet your list would be cut by 2/3 to 3/4 if you included those points, which matter since this is fantasy, not real football.

Please then, tell me what value there is in doing a comparison between players as FPL prospects when you remove one of the game's best sources of scoring points?

The thing with penalties... they're a bit of a lottery. Outside of Gerrard playing behind Suarez, I can't see that a player can get away with relying on them so much.

Hazard is relying on another player winning a penalty. Unless that happens, he has 0 chance of scoring one. However, Hazard can use his ability to provide assists and score goals with a much smaller reliance on others.. which he isn't doing, despite his good performances.

That's all. 🙂 Penalties count... but if you rely on them, your chances of success are fairly slim, I'd say.

He's not relying on another player. The nature of his style of play means he can win the majority himself. Similar to Suarez.

              hmmm...

I'm not sure I agree. Hazard ain't bad at winning them himself and Chelsea have a pretty good record for penalties as far as I recall.

His historic performance should be enough to go on and he's done very well in the past.

That said, I don't own him and probably won't while other options are better (Alexis) or similar but much cheaper (Siggy/Chadderz)

              Seriously?

Hazard has won four penalties in Chelsea's last eight games.

His dribbling ability is just that good. He's as far from reliant on another player to win him a penalty as its possible to be.

301 Premier League goals this season. 17 of those are penalties. Hazard can't survive on pens and his current goal-scoring form at £10m.

random sats that don't appear to have anything to do with Hazard or Chelsea winning penalties.

If Chelsea averaged 2 penalties a season, then i would understand, or if Hazard converted 40%, but they're among the biggest earners of spot kicks and Eden is one of the best takers in the game.

Regardless, we are still talking about a very small number of scoring opportunities.

Over the course of a season, he cannot sustain his status as a top player from penalties and his current FPL form, because the pens won't continue at such a rate.

Chelsea's record: 7, 11, 8 penalties earned over the past three seasons.

Average: just under 9 per season.
This year, 2 in 11 games. If anything they're due more.

I think you win the argument, although I'm not sure why because it still doesn't make sense to me! 😛 And I can't say it's changed my mind.... someone in such poor FPL form doesn't justify that price tag for me. Pens or no pens.

Hazard is Chelsea`s designated diver, so he wins most penalties for his team by himself.

"Slicks" - tyres without a tread - are used by racing cars when it's dry, because they grip better than they would do if they had a tread.

The guy said the wheels on the metaphorical bandwagon were going bald. When tyres go bald on a car, meaning the loss of tread, it can become unsafe to drive because if the roads are wet, you have no tread to clear the water. So if a 'bandwagon' has bald tyres the implication is that the bandwagon will crash. I said the tyres are slicks, to say that the lack of tread on the metaphorical wheels of the bandwagon are intentionally lacking in tread like a race car, the implication that the bandwagon is like a race car, that is to say, a good one, as opposed to a poor one. 🙂

The big, clumsy striker who scored 1 goal in his whole Serie A career before making himself name at late age by heading in some of about 30 crosses per match against some of the weakest defences in Europe? Awesome? I once read an analysis that summed the pre-Feyenoord Pelle in two words: "Essentially useless". That's more like it!

What I meant to say is, however, whether Pellè is good or not, he certainly is not at level where you'd expect Italy international striker to be. Come on. Look at the list, Rossi, Vialli, Ravanelli, Inzaghi, Simone, Signori, Vieri, Di Baggio, Totti...

okay, the last two aren't pure strikers, but you still must get the point. Having the likes of Balotelli and Di Natale, with all due respect, added to that list as their main men already looks bit lame, but when you put Pellè to that list as Italy's newest striker, you just must realise that they've come long way from their great days.

I think you are overrating Italy and underrating Pelle tbh.

Italy have quite clearly gone rapidly downhill over the last 8 years

That's what I'm saying: they've come long way down, but when you see a guy like Pellè upfront it just kind of symbolises their fall. Nobody can possibly argue that Pellè is of international level, let alone a world class striker that Italy always used to have. It's not as if every guy who has banged in a couple of goals against premier leagues weakest defences (Newcastle, QPR, Sunderland, come on!) would have been a clear big nation international. You can check, there's a plenty of strikers who have done that and who have been useless when tried on international level.

Perhaps i generalized a bit too much. Balkan area seems more appropriate, apologies. I mean, considering the areas history, its not impossible to understand why people have issues. Still shouldnt be brought on to sporting arenas.

With all the trolling going on here with injuries I thought I'd give a tip to people who get easily scared by rumours:

Check the subreddit for the players team and if there is any injury it will be there in a post, maybe you have to sort by "new" if its very fresh rumour.

To find the teams subreddit just google "reddit Manchester united" for example, and reddit.com/r/reddevils will be at the top.

To clarify, my comment only relates to the number of hooligan incidents involving Eastern European countries that seemingly go unpunished or very loosely handled by Uefa and Fifa.

Just an example that would trigger emotions (since most people here being from UK), so that people could easier relate to how it feels.

This is not the first time people write downgrading about Eastern Europeans, Russians etc on this site without any consequences. Sometimes the posts get deleted, but the same people are still on here posting.

Hell, just read western news these days, full of Russian/Eastern European fobia and racism that seems to be OK nowadays.

My bro did a thesis on orientalism, it was about how the east (asia) is percieved as old/ancient by the west. These prejudices stick and it's very hard to get rid of them

I think it refers to the black/Muslim bit? As in settlers to this country? I'm not sure though, and also genuinely curious.

Just realised, Italy also has Pasqual in starting lineup! 😯 No offence, sure he's a good LB, but he's 32-year-old and only has a handful of international caps and has like never played CL or anything. I just mean, I still remember when Italy was a glorious and fearsome NT. Italy never used to play this weak teams in meaningful games back in the day. Usually not even in a friendly.
