Bad choice. Very little threat and womt dtsrt every game. Can will start ahead of him when fully fit.
Joe Allen is a terrible FPL option. Never scores, rarely assists. Does the dirty work FPL doesn't reward.

Morning everybody. Last season I for one week went with Ramsey-Ozil-Giroud for one week and they (or Arsenal, I don't really remember) blanked. Then I removed Ozil because I was so, so mad and he got 2 goals against Norwich in the next (or next to next) week.
It happened yesterday as well. I thought what's the worst that could happen and took Hazard (mainly because Sanchez was too expensive) and added him in place of Sterling to a MF that already had Fabregas, AdM, Siggy and Boydinho while I had Costa, Aguero and Austin uptop.
That all 3 blanked was such an epic fail. Atleast Sanchez got the same points so I am happy (though he probably would have easily gotten a goal given how Arsenal played). Now with AdM's injury and Costa's suspension, I have to probably put my defensive changes on hold. Jeez.
On the flip side, I captained Aguero. Hopefully that works out.

72 (-8) is better than 60 for exampleIn isolation thats true and there are times when it is definitely justified.
However fpl is a repeat game with players carried over.
The 60 pts in your example may leave you in better shape for the following week. Meanwhile you are taking another 8 pt hit which may improve on your current team but also may not leave you much better off than your original team but you are now 8 pts down on the week.
Also over enough game weeks they wont work every time and the bad weeks are exacerbated by the guaranteed lost points.
A look at what the top players who regularly finish in the top 5k and higher will show that most if not all of them wont be taking -8 very often.

I'm thinking sanchez. He failed this week because of Giroud and constantly switching around with welbeck. Arsenal have failed to score in only a few games out of about a hundred, we always score (except vs chelsea). Not many defences can hold us, we scored vs soton in the cup they had a full strength team and we played our youngsters
