The Gameweek rolls on with the final pair of Premier League encounters – both presenting fascinating scenarios, fully stocked with Fantasy talent.

The day begins as St Mary’s where Ronald Koeman’s Southampton face their first grilling as applicants for the role of a top four side. It begins with the harshest of tests against champions Manchester City, presenting a lip-smacking battle between the league’s most potent striker and its most robust rearguard.

Sergio Aguero will be the latest of the Gameweek captaincy candidates to test his mettle, against a Saints back four that has conceded just once all season on home turf. That’s just one of the key battles on show, as City desperately look to seize the opportunity to close the gap on leaders Chelsea following the Blues’ stalemate with Sunderland.

Later today, our focus switches to north London where Everton pay visit to White Hart Lane in a match that pairs two sides with top six ambitions. A host of mid-price prospects are on show, with Fantasy managers holding out for an appearance from Leighton Baines and further encouraging displays from the likes of Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Mangala red card is one of the best tactical move I have ever seen.

Get the other team attacking and catch them in the counter.

    30m is just a steal

Worth taking Clyne out for a -4?

    Thinking Clyne -> Azpi/Cresswell

    1. AlCapwnUK
      11 years, 11 months ago

Almost did Bertie > Cresswell this week. Then the flags scuppered it.

Chasing points to do it now I fear. Go Azpi

  8. Guidinho

To think with the penalty, one on one, he really could have filled his boots.

Had the captain armband on Haz but be silly not to change it.

If anyone wanted to know the stats 11.6% captained Aguero and 8% of the top 1k.

Worst thing about Kun is he tortures you. He lets you hope and when you think you got away, he gets you.

        Of course.
        But he tortures owners too.

Will be funny as Pelle rightly will be shipped by the dozen after numerous non event performances but with Arsenal's propensity for lax defending he could easily come back to bite.

Still think his form was a flash in the pan, bit like Mane. Tadic the only one of that three that could go on to be a top level footballer.

Could have gone worse for Aguero non captainers. At least he didn't hit double figures. In a low scoring week like this, owners can use the 8 points even if they miss the other 8.

United supposedly pulled out of a deal for Mangala this summer because they viewed him as 'a cross between Boumsong and Yobo'.
