With the title race back on, we turn to five Premier League encounters to keep the Gameweek rolling, before Manchester City look to maintain the Chelsea chase with three points against Everton at the Etihad.

Fantasy managers will be concentrating their attention on two venues in particular, with QPR hosting fellow strugglers Burnley at Loftus Road, whilst Arsenal and Alexis Sanchez pay visit to the Britannia to take on Stoke.

Sanchez is undoubtedly the most popular asset on show before Sergio Aguero takes to the turf this evening, as the Chilean looks to extend his run of seven goals in as many league outings. The Gunners are also chasing a third straight clean sheet, although Mark Hughes’ Potters are unlikely to give them an easy ride – the big team news from the Britannia is that Olivier Giroud earns a recall, with Danny Welbeck benched.

As for QPR, Charlie Austin will be carrying the hopes of both Harry Redknapp and a horde of Fantasy managers as he looks to continue a rich vein of scoring form when the Clarets pay visit. Danny Ings will be one to watch for the visitors in a battle of the budget strikers down at Shepherds Bush.

Elsewhere this afternoon, Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen take increased ownership into the White Hart Lane encounter with Crystal Palace, whilst at Anfield, Liverpool (with Steven Gerrard benched again) will look to build on the 3-1 midweek win over Leicester with another three points against visiting Sunderland. Hull City’s Humberside date with West Brom rounds off the day’s offerings, before we take the trip to Manchester to catch the latest episode of the Aguero show.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Have thought this for a while, now probably a better time than ever to say it.
Each week it seems to me that 90% of the forum are either celebrating their great week or bemoaning an awful week. With so many people in the same boat I often see a player complaining about a score in the 40s when the average that week was 38 or celebrating their 65 when a template team that all the top 100k have will have scored 70+.
There’s a lot of bemoaning the template. Would be nice to see people celebrating the masterminding of bringing Yun in this week for a clean sheet or something similar that’s given them the grand total of 30 odd that’ll be in the top 10% for today. Just coz 64 is what you aim to average each week it doesn’t meaning getting less than that leads to red arrows.
Ready to get some hate for this, just seems to me that we put so much time and thought into building our team but very little in assessing it.

I did indeed start Yun this week, but I'm containing my joy for now following my captain playing 6 minutes.

But having a bad week when the average is 30 does a lot less damage overall than having a bad week when the average is 75.

    6. supperspout
      11 years, 10 months ago

but yeah sometimes these spanners in the works that effect the majority can bring out the better FPLer's as they make better more informered/wiser transfers/decisions. So its not necessarily a bad thing to have an unfortunate gameweek like this from an overall longterm rank perspective

    7. BRONALDINHO
      11 years, 10 months ago

well, can't really feel happy that I brought in Caulker this week when the rest of my team scored a total of 11 points and I might not even be able to field 11 players next week without a hit = moaning time

Not an owner but I'd dump with Debuchy apparently ready for Tuesday he should get his place back by the weekend and Chambers will be struggling to get back in the team when hes back from his ban (Koscielny was back on the bench today too so he won't go to CB either)

Most "glass" team from current players in Premier league...

    GK

Evans - Jose Enrique - Ferdinand - Ryan Taylor

    Walcott - Diaby - Silva

    Carroll - Aguero- Sturridge

When these guys injured, they need minimum 5 weeks to recover.... Diaby and R.Taylor minimum few years... If you remember someone else...

As much as Man City have had the luck (Bar Aurego) with not being down to 10 men and having an easy pen, EFC really havent forced the issue with a weak Man City (which still cost a lot!)

Ticky Tacka football is lovely...but you also need a plan B, Bobby.
