To be fair to LVG (and I'm usually the first to slate him) he's been pretty fair in this post match interview.

What's the general consensus on switching Aguero out? I have Costa and Austin already. Generally like going with the heavy hitters up front but couldn't really pick any to be honest. Van Persie too expensive, Rooney too deep. Sturridge injured. Who does that leave?
Consensus is Yaya in for that run of fixtures.
Sakho, Bony, Dzeko, and Ings (rotates with Austin) are options for the straight trade out. As is going to a midfield five with San-Haz-Yaya-Sig-Dow and a budget upfront.

many people, but he'll get consistent returns..the question is are you happy with 6-7 points at most on a gameweek for 11m ifyou believe you can at the very least rely on a steady stream of 6-7 points
Costa's greatest asset is his availability, always in the right place at the right time. Sometime's that's all it takes.
He's not like kun or Suarez but he is a brilliant striker
