The final match of Gameweek 16 sees Everton look for a first win in four attempts this evening, as QPR roll up to Goodison. Roberto Martinez’ men have failed to replicate last term’s heroics so far and, like their visitors, have triumphed in only four of the first 15 rounds of fixtures.

The home side will be buoyed by their opponents’ woeful away form, though. Harry Redknapp’s side have lost every match outside of Loftus Road so far and with top scorer Charlie Austin serving a one-match suspension tonight, the R’s will be reliant on in-form midfielder Leroy Fer to bag a third goal in four appearances. The R’s centre-half Steven Caulker misses out altogether tonight, as Richard Dunne is partnered by Nedum Onouha in the heart of the back-four.

For the Toffees, Romelu Lukaku carries the major goal threat. The big Belgian has scored in each of his last four home starts and with the R’s conceding more than two goals per away match, he’ll fancy his chances of extending that streak. Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman’s raiding runs from full-back should also play a prominent part in Everton’s attacks, whilst Kevin Mirallas’ goal and assist in the last three suggests he’s finding his form just in time for this one. Elsewhere for the hosts, Steven Naismith has shrugged off a hamstring injury and returns to the starting XI.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

First goal, at first I thought was a brilliant strike but with the benefit of a replay I can see why people are claiming it's an OG. the second, they haven't shown an angle that conclusively shows the free kick was off target. If anything, the angle from high behind the goal looks to me like it's bending inside the near post. People on here need to calm down with the outrage when something doesn't suit their team.

I agree. Mirallas' looks like it was going near post until that massive deflection.

For all we know, Barkley's shot would come in off the post, but the angle certainly suggests it was an own goal.

Agreed. Wouldn't disagree or be surprised if Barkley's ended up being declared an OG. No chance Mirallas' is changing.

With Mirallas in the team Baines is worth 5.0 at best. You're basically paying for the off chance of a peno. No set-pieces, barely any threat from open play

Might as well just get Coleman with Mirallas fit if you want Everton defence

Coleman could have easily have had an assist first half, that cut back for Naismith was a decent chance.

Would love him to grab a goal!

Coleman is worth 7.0, his attacking threat is from open play

Penalties would still make 6-6.5 a fair price I think. He'll surely still get a few free kicks, if not as many as he would without Mirallas.

Baines took the ball and putted on the spot for the free kick. After that Miralas ( u son of a b...) scores from clearly Baines side and scores.

So enjoy Baines owners he will get assist

There is no way that barkley goal will be turned to an own goal inside the next hour

Maybe after the dubious panel review it. The deflection too close to the shot and not big enough (though very significant)

Someone needs to inform Neville and Carragher that Barkley is two-footed. Having said that, watching Barkley use both does make you wonder why more youngsters don't learn to use both.
