QPR’s home hitman hogs the array of impressive numbers on show from the weekend, ably assisted by stellar showings from Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen. Elsewhere in our regular members’ statistical digest, we examine how Man City’s tactical tweaks influenced two of their key midfielders and analyse how a pair of returning United assets are hinting at major hauls as their minutes begin to build.
-
(C)azorla is calling my name this week. He's been immense for Arsenal of late.
-
With giroud back hes no longer on pens.
-
He won't need a penalty to score against QPR
-
Just saying kinda lessens his appeal
-
cazorla cap callin me to. late KO too
-
-
You sure? Some were saying Caz was ahead of Giroud.
-
-
Im getting him in this week though will probably bottle it and captain sanchez. Id hate to be in a position where i need sanchez to do badly home to qpr because every point he scores moves me down the ranks despite having him
-
Hard to look past Sanchez this week
-
Not really, he was awful today.
-
-
-
Captain choice for boxing day is tough.
Hazard and Sanchez surely won't play 90-
I think Hazard 80ish, Sanchez off the bench
-
Cazorla, Forehead. 😀
-
He was brilliant again today. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of taking hits! Have a defence to sort out 🙁
-
Euuurgggh - that's tough.
-
-
Doos.
Is : Siggy + baines -> Cazorla + 6.6m def (-4) a wise move ? got zab-
Not right now. try to avoid hits wherever possible UNTIL just after New Year.
Also, remember that Jan wild card is not long, now. -
Dont take a hit mate
-
Why Baines out now?
-
He is really quite rubbish at the mo. Sadly. I have him. Also sadly.
-
The way I see it is that he has had tough fixtures and it was entirely expectable that he'll bring low return during them. Now his fixtures have a turn for better, so if you've held him over the bad ones and have no urgent need to cash on his price - which I think about nobody should have - I think it's much wiser to keep him and play him. Even if he wouldn't score like a 9.0 midfielder, he is more than likely to outscore the other non-City defenders in the next 6 GW's.
The only thing I fear is that that fecker Mirallas destroys Bainesie's game like he did against QPR. But as long as he is out, or plays a central role, I'm happy to have Baines.
-
-
-
-
It's all fine if you already have him, but Arsenal's fixtures until GW23 make it less appealing to transfer him in now.
-
-
-
I think Hazard is safer, and a better captain choice.
-
Could see an 11 pointer. Think Chelsea will just about beat the Irons 1-0
-
-
On Hazard at the mo.
Wouldn't be completely against captaining Harry Kane either.
-
-
Thoughts on Costa > Falcao ?
-
Benteke/Giroud more reliable options
-
-
Lukaku -> Giroud, done.
--------------------De Gea
--------Baines | Zabaleta | Davies
Hazard | Sanchez | Yaya Toure | Eriksen
-----------Kane | Giroud | Austin
________________________________________
Elliot | Downing | Cissokho | Moore-
Bold move. Nice team, though. Really nice, in fact... good going.
-
Nice!
-
good move. Baines out next week?
-
Nice move , some may say this is crazy but
Sanchez >AdM would be great
Would leave a lovely balance to your front 8 besides double Spurs but Kane and Erik in purple patch so all good for now
-
-
Which transfer would you make this week?
1) Baines to Debuchy
2) Perez to Kane
3) Wanyama to Silva
4) Wanyama to Cazorla
Thanking you in advance....-
4
-
Have Arsenal changed their set up in some way that is resulting in this form or is it ajust another Cazorla form roller coaster?
-
Tough to call. He's taking a decent amount of shots and is involved. With injuries I can't see him getting rotated right now.
-
-

1)
give baines one more week...
-
-
The beauty of saving a transfer this week gives you 2FT two days later.
-
Are you saving GG ?
-
I think so.
-
-
Only to be wasted on players who get rested
-
If it helps, we will know the Spurs v United lineup before the deadline.
-
Not the match I would choose to have the lineups for......
-
-
-
I'm still waiting for someone to reply with...
"No sh1t Sherlock!" 🙂 -
If Siggy is fit I'll be tempted to do that this week.
Really annoying trying to plan transfers when the guy you bring in might be rested.
-
-
Apologies to everyone on here for acting like an idiot
-
just frustrated not putting austin in anyways time to move on
-
guzan
terry clyne baines chambers
sig haz sanchez erriksen
kane costa any changes or keep thinking erriksen to sterling -
Howdy DZ.
Everyone ready for the Hazard show tomorrow morning?-
I hope it's his show!!
-
I own Haz but I want him and Costa to blank so as not to take the shine of my Austin (C) 🙂
Oscar to score (Azpi assist) and Chelsea to lose would be ideal for me -
Still in the process of preparing myself for it 😉
-
Would love it, as long as he doesn’t surpass my austin(c) 🙂
-
Its Oscar time 😀
-
😥
1-0 ivan goal fab assist 👿-
🙁
-
-
-
Best move here chaps?
A) Yun -> Baines/Zaba (benching Hutton)
B) Carroll -> Giroud (1 week punt before switching to Austin/Tekkers)
C) Downing -> Silva/Sterling (benching Carroll)
D) Save
Hart
Terry, Chambers, Hutton
Sanchez, Hazard, Eriksen, Siggy
Costa, Kane, Carroll
Elliot, Downing, Wisdom, Yun
Bank 4.4m, 1 freebie-
I like B
-
B looks good for a week's punt
-
I think you should Prioritize on removing Siggy
-
Yep, Siggy goes this week if injured or next week for Silva/Sterling
-
-
-
B. But would keep him and downgrade Carroll to Austin therafter.
-
Not sure I follow, Shifty?
-
Giroud. But keep him thereafter, and downgrade Carroll to Austin instead of 1 week punt with Giroud.
-
But i would have already ditched Carroll to get Giroud, so couldn't dotch Carroll again for Austin
-
oh stupid me. read wrong. but still, if you get Giroud, you might consider keeping him for awhile. Kane>Austin thereafter perhaps.
But sounds messy....just get A with Zab.
-
-
-
-
-
A
-
A.
One week punts aren't smart at this time of the season...-
Yep, agree with that. Don't think its worth losing Carroll or Downing this week given they have che/ARS up next?
-
Nah you can bench one this week and I wouldn't be surprised if they score 1 or 2 against Arsenal.
-
-
-
u could regret doing that 1 week punt. Save FT
-
-
Everyone getting rid of Baines 100% now?
-
The time to get rid was 5 weeks a go.
-
Mirallas is due back for boxing day right?
-
^ this, when he was out for one game and a doubt for the next one
-
-
Nope... sure starter, good games... no point really. He will troll "everyone" and score 2 goals in the next two games and "everyone" will go mental here.. esp when Zabaleta get rested for one game... 😀
-
You think that's likely?
I can use 2FTs for Baines > Zabaleta and Bertrand > Almost anyone i like.-
Not likely to score 2 goals no 😀
But very likely Zabaleta will get rested imo. So im keeping Baines, expecting him to outscore Zabaleta in the next two...then I´ll think about it 🙂
-
-
this 🙂
-
-
Nah
-
keeper. he'll outscore all City defenders over Christmas
-
No. Don't need the money his sale would generate and one dodgy penalty decision and it's probably 10+ points.
-
Hardened Baines owners know to take the rough with the smooth and leave him be. By the end of the season he will be there or thereabouts at top of charts. About this time of year is when defenses tighten all round anyway. I'm keeping for season unless he gets injured. Will use my transfers elsewhere.
-
Nope, keeping the faith
-
Thanks all, will keep + hope
-
-
Okay - transfers set.
Sanchez---->Cazorla, Carroll----->Giroud.-
No way
-
Why not?
-
-
Sanchez to Cazorla? Risky.
-
Sanchez will by far out score carzola
-
Totally agreed.
-
-
-
-
-
cheers mate
-
sounds positive for Siggy
-
-
RMT PLS
Hart (Myhill)
Dummett//Clyne//Baines (Wisdom, Hutton)
Sanchez/Eriksen//Downing//Siggy Silva (C)
Bony (C)//Costa (BERAHINO)
Got 1FT and 0.6mn in the bank.
A) Berahino -> Austin
B) Baines -> Zabaleta
C) Baines & Berahino -> Zab & Austin for -4 hit
D) Baines & Berahino -> Clichy &Tekkers for -4 hit
E) Keep FT and do C/D for free-
Do (A) next week
B looks like a good move! -
A

I won't get fooled by ADM's stats above. Only one of the shots was not a pot shot, meaning that those stats are very Taarabt-esque.
Still, I suppose ADM is a better fantasy prospect than Taarabt ever was.-
Here you can find his stats for his last four matches. I would wait.
http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/1373/-
Me too - but he's worth monitoring. If he starts to play well, and United somehow click, he could be a nice Yaya replacement.
-
-
can't believe i had an ML rival captain Taarabt for a brace a couple of seasons back.
-
i'm not really sure if its even good idea to have man united player at the moment..most of their attacking players are fit, expecting some rotation soon
-
Jeeeez, please don't put ADM and Taarabt in one sentence, no matter what the context is..
-
Can't believe people are even remotely considering him. Not a very good player impo.
-
I hope you're meaning Taarabt - that other player just won the Argentinian player of the year award, coming before some little fella from Barcelona, don't remember his name.
-
You really are on fire today Willis. 😀
Arsenal play worse with Alexis and Di Maria is not a very good player 😉
-
-
-
guys who is naylor?i keep reading the name but i do not recognize any defender with this name in the devision
-
Neil Taylor, Swansea
-
neil taylor. left back. swansea.
-
Bless u
-
we say Naylor coz there are several Taylors. Saylor = Steven; Naylor = Neil; Raylor = Ryan
-
swansea
-
-
FPL has Dzeko returning this GW? Really?
-
yeah, quick get him in before his price rises 😆
-
Still have him 😎
-
-
-
Is it worth doing siggy to downing for free even though they play Chelsea?
-
Nope
-
i'm waiting a week
-
Wait for news on Siggy but for the moment no.
-
Cheers guys
-
How much have you
-
-
Sterling or Silva moving forward and why ye think so?
Looks like Sterling is proving to be a bit more popular all of a sudden?-
silva. overall city are a better team, he'll get more from those around him, his assists will be converted, he'll be fed better opportunities.
when dans back maybe sterling but over xmas silva all the way

Do any of you walk around the house in a chugging motion repeating "Yayayayayayayyayayayayyayayayayayayyayaya Toooouuuurrrreeeeeee", as if you were a train?
And I mean one of those old kind of steam engine locomotives rather than one of these fancy Dan Japanese trians that float above magnetic rails.-
drug or alcohol?
-
Both.
-
its realy hard to say. neither is awesome 🙂
-
-
ready for a yellow card and ban next game choo choo chooooo
-
-
Finally getting the chance to replace Kaboul. 7.1 available, so can't afford Ivanovic. Have already got Baines, but no other MC or Chelsea defenders.
Terry? Zabalata? Clichy?-
Has to be a city defender - Demi looks the most nailed until new year IMO
-
JT or Cahill for me- more goal threat than Demi, both pretty much nailed on starters
-
-
What are people's views on whether Zabs will play the next gameweek?
-
I think he will
-
City still need their striker to play.
-
He will play vs Wbrom for sure.
Most likely rested for Burnley, hope not though -
I think he will play Boxing Day but be dropped the game after...
-
tbh you never know. Since they have no striker, he is playing like striker, may start and taken off an hour mark
-
Well no one knows but logic dictates there will be rotations for most players.
-
feck logic, lets dream 😀
-
Nah.
-
-
-
-
-
Thanks for that everybody.
-
-
Am I right in thinking the January wildcard has to be used before game week 23 starts?
-
The January Wildcard can only be used after Gameweek 20 starts (1 Jan 11:30) until Gameweek 23 ends (7 Feb 11:30).
-
ohhh 1 january -7 february, GW 20 - GW 23
-
-
I think it's before February 7th?
-
Thanks both
-
-
Right. Whos everyone making captain for boxing day?
-
Hazard.
But Cazorla will tempt me if I get him. -
bony
-
Haz/Costa depending on tonights game. Sanchez might be a bit risky and I think owning Silva is enough though maybe everyone will have him by Boxing Day 😆
-
Hazard or Harry Kane.
-
Hazard or Bony
-
Sanchez (C)
Haz (VC) -
Hazard

Hazard(c) Yaya(vc)

Can anybody tell me if there is a safe haven coming up for yellow cards getting wiped? I've wanted Fer for a while but worried about those bookings, but each home game he has come back to haunt me.
Merry Christmas!-
YC won't get wiped but the suspension criteria will increase from 5 to 10 YC in 2 weeks time
-
So provided Yaya and O'Shea don't get another yellow until gw 20, the count basically starts again?
-
nope they remain on 4 Yellows but won't get suspended when they get a 5th one
-
Thanks for clearing that up. Hellloooo Cazorla!
-
-
-
-
well they aren't wiped but the threshold is raised to 10 after dec 31...that means from gw 20 onwards
merry christmas to you too! 🙂-
Answered my question above, cheers AR!
-
-
I'll hold off till GW20 (assuming he doesn't get booked before that). Thanks very much chaps!
-
-
Can anyone link me the superb article about who concedes goals from where (as in who concedes against defs, mids, etc)
-
-
Much obliged!
-
-
-
3 great left foot strikes this weekend - Downing, Lamela & Benteke. The Benteke goal was class, best of the three by a wee bit.
-
due to the fact that Lamela and Downing are left footers I'd give it to Benteke too
-
u forgot about yaya toure's left footed shot
he ran half the field up, pause, and ran again before taking that shot...even harder when the heart was hard pumping from the run earlier
-
-
What date do the players leave for the Africa Cup of Nations?
Is it like 2nd of Jan, or 12th?-
i think they leave after gw 20 - 3 more games left for the acon boys
-
thanks mate!
-
-
ACON starts 17th jan and the Asian cup starts in 9th.
So ACON players will prob head on 12th or something -
They leave after GW21 imo
-
