We delve into the Gameweek 20 data this evening and serve up some of the most impressive numbers from New Year’s Day. QPR, Swansea, Aston Villa and Man City’s strikers arrive under the radar, whilst we also cast an analytical eye over in-form midfielders from Spurs, Leicester and West Brom.

So are most people doing Yaya to ADM? Seems like the best option to me with Sterling about the same potential

I went Sterling. I'm no longer sure it was the right move.

I'll probably go Sigurdsson to Di Maria next week though if he doesn't get injured.

I think it is quite close. ADM maybe a little more of a gamble but with potentially a bigger points capability

I went Sterling just in case he finds the scoring touch. Ideally Di Maria doesn't do much and Sterling gets some points though.

Well I have 3 Chelsea already so personally I cannot do this. I may have him in my wildcard though

Between Fab and ADM to get in for Yaya this week for me. Leaning towards Cesc.

Curious, would anyone be interested in more 3-way defensive rotations?
Have some great 3-way rotation down on paper with Villa, West Brom, Sunderland, Stoke, Newcastle, Palace, Swansea, West Ham all included. It's my day off, feel I should do something constructive 😉

    & no it doesn't have Burnley 😉

Instead of Burnley Stoke do a better job with Villa and Sunderland at least they are a better team, and should any of your defenders dont play i would much rather have a stoke defender than a burnley one off the bench

That's a great point Trigger, I've been hovering around Cameron & Pieters also.
Cheers, Burnley's shots conceded both in & outside the box are atrocious .

Will look into this for sure

I've read a lot of literature saying that it's best to wait until Aguero is back to do your wildcard.........why not just have a Man United placeholder Rooney/RVP for the QPR and Leicester games and then bring Aguero back in for Hull at home?

that's a legitimate option - there are also other reasons to hold off the wc though. injuries, transfers, etc.

They could get 3 but probably won't. Aston Villa and Palace would be best chances probably at a clean sheet. But they've been leaky all season so I'll say they get 1 clean sheet from those.

My midfield is set except one, so now I will ask here and hope for some (improbable?) constructive feedback:
    - Sigurdsson
    - Downing
    - Henderson (lacking money for Sterling or Coutinho)
    - Cadli (lacking money for Eriksen)
    - or another?
(my price limit here is 7.3)

If you have Kane , Siggy , his fixtures turn great in February and everyone who wildcards late will have him and it will hurt you not owning him

You're looking for a mid up to 7.3 from Sigurdsson, Downing, Henderson, Chadli or another , is that right?

Personally I'd go Sigurdsson from these.

      1. Gustavospeaks
        • 11 Years
        11 years, 6 months ago

Most been saying Sigurdsson as well. He does seem the best choice through the entire season in this price, even compared to all he is one of the best choices. What made me unsure was Swansea's next fixtures plus the fact that they have Bony + Ki away with their countries.

I know it's tough to take price out of the equation completely when looking at who to start or sit but in reality you just need to do your best to pick who you think will get most points. It's not always the most expensive player.

    Wildcard team

    guzan (heaton)
    Terry Bertrand Wisdom Hutton (wasi)
    Sanchez Hazard Silva Eriksen (boyd)
    Costa Kane Austin

Will be going Silva Costa > sterling Kun when available
    Any thoughts

Solid team. Any plans to get Di Maria in? Personally I'm obsessed with getting him.

Looks good, Kane and Eriksen though? Get sterling instead then swap silva to adm so youve got coverage from all the top teams (once di maria if fully fit ofc, conveniently when aguero is back it seems)

Does ADM play this week I was going to wait an extra week before I bring him in. I was think Chadli instead of Eriksen I like the way they are playing and ws even thinking Kane > Berahino

No 5th mid? Do it! I got Giroud for Bony. Going to bench Sterling/Silva to play him

currently got RVP and had for a few weeks now, utds points are so spread can be very frustrating

what do you reckon for this non-wildcarded team for this GW, feel almost obessive now that I have TWO in my pocket

    Guzan
    Wisdom Azpi Hutton
    Siggy Silva Hazard Sanchez
    Kane Austin Costa

    (Boyd Taylor Tomkins)

I really want to play Boydinho here to be honest but can't justify dropping anyone from the front 7

Also, Villa double defence worked last week, think they can keep another cleanie (lei) or should I swap out Hutton for Taylor (WHU)

    1. bigbudgie

      Hazard (c) BTW

    2. Walsh

I would keep lineup as is.

    3. Tex

I'm playing Taylor as I have doubts Villa can keep the clean sheets coming. West Ham have lost 3 key players to Africa Cup of Nations. Reckon both Swansea and Villa concede though.

yeah. in that case I would probably choose to keep Hutton on and pray for attacking points.

Having benched Kane last week that Villa double d saved my GW!

It's probably wise choice. I'm going with home team rather than worst opposition. It could well backfire.

Out of context this seems like a family inane contribution to the page, but it needs to be taken as a continuation of the theme raised in the prequel. Alone it falls flat, but as part of the concert it is a worthy adagio to the main work. THREE STARS.

The genius of the hanging "donkey", which leaves the reader unsure as to whether this refers to Triggerlips or Olivier Giroud. is simply sublime. Clearly this is Timtastic03 firing on all cylinders and certainly can be argued to be his greatest contribution so far to the comments on this page RECOMMENDED. FIVE STARS.

This was a great post by TIMTASTIC03, with just enough mystery and suspense to keep us interested right to the end of the thread. I won't give any spoilers, but TM's addition at the end really raises the stakes here and leaves the viewer begging for more, and not a RATE MY TEAM for miles. Refreshing stuff. Four stars.

This is a rather poor and somewhat imitative post from Timtastic03's weak Late Emoji Period. Many people feel that he owes all his ideas here to INNSIE, and I for one agree. Not up to the high standard of his mid-career posts (see reviews passim)

I think he is decent punt but united's goals are so spreadout. I think he is still to hit anything like top form, perhaps it may take another month or two for that to happen

      good fixtures though

How's this for a dead team (cup opponent) that achieved a GW rank of top 5K GW16, 1 transfer all season. This would embarrassing

    Hazard Mata Carzola Silva
    Rooney Jovetic Naismith
