Granville and I make a New Year return to the ScoutCast studio, battered and bruised by the events of Gameweek 20 which saw us both inexplicably bench Harry Kane and his 18-point haul.

Having wasted our big differential and haunted by constant reminders, my co-host and I struggle to make a recovery. Spitting the pips from our sour grapes, we do our best to justify our doomed decision-making, before attempting to salve the wounds with talk of the Winter Wildcard refresh around the usual batch of regulars.

    Evening all... Hastily hit the WC after 3 poor weeks that saw me slip badly..

    Would reallylove somecritism/advice on my team.

    Keeping 4.8 ITB for Aguero and to upgrade where need be (thinking Eriksen to Wally in the coming weeks) I had just 105m to play with sadly.

      Duff and Bruce are far from nailed on and wouldn't want to be playing Wasilewski every week, get Mannone over Harper upgrade Duff to Hutton if possible, I would downgrade Giroud to Austin/Ings your defence really is suffering

        I hear you...I just feel that spending at the back gets you less points than spending well upfront... I do need more ballance but struggling with budget! I reckn Duff will be straight in...as for bruce dont really care too much if i never play him. Will look at what I can do with my name sake 😉 Thank mate!!

            hmm leaning to chadli over eriksen as suggested below...affords me to bolster the back for sure and still have 5m for Aguero plus some nice wiggle room for form players and new arrivals...what do you make of Chadli right now...will he be nailed on?

              He appears to be back in favour and his ppg are very good. Siggy of course is your other option I guess although I think Chadli is cheaper now. Plenty of email discussion been going on as well in regards to potential WC teams

            I did say Italy seemed to be his first choice. Think it was a case of being snubbed by Juve but really wanting to live in Italy.

            His attitude is f**king s**t tbh, frequently on social media giving out about Munich when they leave him on the bench, won't pass to team mates when he comes on, 100% not the type of person the Pool dressing room needs right now.

                    Not at all, a lot of young players in the positions he can play, it would interrupt bringing them along (the likes of Markovic who they spent a lot of money on).

                    I hope he kicks the attitude out and focuses on the football, he could be a great player if he did, no question.

        I think he is and many coaches and players have heaped praise on him.

        he can be a brilliant player to watch and i was lucky to have seen him and his brilliance live at the San Siro when i traveled there from Sydney haha.

            The chase for the champions league spot will be very interesting if Mancini can get the team working well. The display in the second half against Juve was encouraging.

            Ricardo Rodriguez, the left back at Wolfsburg is class too, can see City sniffing.

              That's exactly it, couldn't really see him getting a nailed on role in any of those sides or Spurs or Pool (given the number of attack minded mids both teams have).
