With gremlins in the machine, the clock was ticking on this week’s ScoutCast as Granville and I are hurried into service.

Displaying all the urgency and determination of Ade Akinfenwa at the end of season buffet, we waste no time in driving through the ScoutCast regulars, whilst weighing the merits of when to swoop for a certain “essential” Argentine.

While this week’s low fat episode may come as a treat for some, we’re working towards a return to the full fat, high cholesterol live Hangout from next week. Keep ‘em peeled for news on that.

      I find it amazing pitches are allowed to be different sizes at all and not one standard size. Teams did something similar in GAA in Ireland too. Specificaly shortening the width of pitches to hinder more expansive free flowing teams.

        The only time I have seen pitches being discussed in the G.A.A is the old argument that Dublin should not be allowed to play exclusively in Croke Park . Stoke certainly exploited it to the hilt with Delap and their style of football under Pulis .

          Cant remember who exactly but think a few of the hurling counties a few years back did so to curb the faster teams like Galway and Kilkenny (at the time). There was a bit of a hub bub so maybe they changed the rules but overall not much was made of it. Not like it stopped the juggernaut.

    There's my team.

    Would appreciate some comments on what moves to make this week. Have 2 FT's and 2.0 in the bank. Haven't used the wildcard yet. I wanna use at least 1 transfer, possibly even both. Thinking either Silva out for Sterling/ADM or some other punt (Mirallas?). Or Guzan out for someone maybe (Forster?). Or both. Ideas? Any reason to save one of the transfers? I think I would most likely WC for the next gameweek anyway to get Aguero.

    If you have a transfer to use before wildcarding, would you do Silva to Sterling, ADM, or Mirallas?

    Would be for either 1 or 2 weeks. Could also keep Silva, but his fixtures are tough
