Gameweek 22 begins belatedly with a batch of six three o’clock encounters before Southampton’s visit to Newcastle brings the day to a close.

Fantasy managers will be concentrating their efforts on events in South Wales, where leaders Chelsea take on Swansea, and down at White Hart Lane, where Mauricio Pochettino’s rejuvenated Tottenham unit face Sunderland.

Harry Kane tops our Captain Poll, just ahead of Man City’s returning striker, Sergio Aguero. The Spurs hitman will look to extend a run of form that’s brought him six goals and three assists in as many league outings, backed by an army of new Fantasy Premier League (FPL) owners.

At the Liberty, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Diego Costa command a weighty ownership of their own, although with Aguero’s return, the latter has it all to do to maintain his current 59% level: a goal or two against Swansea would help his cause.

Elsewhere, Burnley’s Danny Ings will look to maintain his run of returns as Alan Pardew rolls up to Turf Moor with Palace. Liverpool, with Steven Gerrard out of the squad through injury, drop in on goal-shy Villa, while Leicester City host Stoke at the King Power. Down in Shepherds Bush, Louis van Gaal’s United go on the hunt for points at Loftus Road, as Charlie Austin looks to regain his London scoring boots to keep his place atop the FPL forward rankings, having blanked in the last two on home turf.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I bought Moreno on WC. Is it worth keeping him for a while? Or will his place be under threat now that Enrique is back?

True but if Chelsea keep a CS, +1 for Hazard/Fabregas
Tougher fixtures and I can get cleansheets elsewhere.
Think his goal run will be over for a while.

Chelsea have 8 clean sheets in 11. That sort of consistency isn't to be messed with, no matter what else it lets you afford.

Thing is though that if you get clean sheets elsewhere (United are a decent bet to have the same number of clean sheets in the next six in my view) you lose nothing. In contrast if you go for a cheap striker and Costa gets a double+assist you've lost out. You can only get one clean sheet per game at the end of the day.

You might get that many, but it's very unlikely, and I don't see why it's worth taking the risk. They're just too good to play around with, think punts and risks should be taken elsewhere.

I think it's a punt either way because Costa, Hazard and Fabregas have such high ownership and get equally consistent returns to the defence (all three have more points than Ivanovic/Terry).

For me it's more likely the United defence gets clean sheets over the next six than someone like Austin will match Costa.

Wildcard now or wait a week?

    Adrian - Jakupovic
    Clyne - Zabaleta - Fazio - Wisdom - Hutton
    Sanchez - Hazard - Silva - Sterling - Downing
    Aguero - Kane - Austin

My plan was to wait until after the next GW, but I'm afraid to of my top targets, Ivanovic and Diego Costa, will rise in price (although they are pretty far from rising now, a lot can happen over 2 weeks)
