Our Sunday delve into the members data arrives once again this evening. We cast an analytical eye over Tottenham’s goalscoring playmaker, Palace’s in-form frontman and the Magpies’ flourishing Frenchman, whilst the worrying form of Villa’s misfiring target man and United’s skipper give cause for concern.

My worst week yet, on 18 points! Dropped me from 1st to 5th in my league.

What to do with this team? Thinking about using WC?

    Panti - Foster
    Zab - Baines - Wisdom - Hutton - Taylor
    Haz - Sanchez - Silva - Siggy - Boyd
    Aguero - Austin - Kane

Costa killed us this week for sure. majority of my league had him as Captain. Baines needs to go and waiting on Aguero to fire up again.

What a fool Sanchez for missing that penalty. Two more came after that one and he would've taken them if he scored that first one.

I don't think so. He wasn't supposed to take that one since he wasn't first choice penalty taker.

The foolish part was taking the penalty rather than missing it!

That's the team I've decided on I think it's pretty solid and will work well. Think you have a solid team personally at moment and should keep what you got unless you want take a risk on someone.

I would perhaps consider swapping Downing as he has some rough fixtures ahead.

      Play Terry v City.

In the last 4 Chelsea-City PL games at the Bridge, City have scored 2 goals in total. Chelsea tighten up against their main rivals. Something it seems that Wenger has at last learned to do.

There's that... And there is also the fact Jones is at home vs Leicester.

I think Chelsea will concede, perhaps not lose, but City will be coming full on.

I was thinking of bringing in Jones for Hutton anyways. If he rose, i would have to say farewell to that prospect.

It's just a matter of play Jones or Terry now. PVA, Bertrand the 2 others.

I am seeing little to no consideration of Fab. If Costa scores, chances are it came from Fab. Pair that with Hazard and I think you have a mighty fine part of the Blue machine. Oscar is to spotty.

Oscar and Fab are probably about the same average points per minutes played. Maybe I'll get motivated and do the math on that. If I am correct, then Oscar is the better pick because he frees up some money money.

Interesting. I still think that is skewed though if you took into account his recent two goal game. Before that, it was long dry spells. Fab keeps you ticking while Oscar is spotty. For the drop in price it may be worth it, but I still think Fab finishes higher considering BPS

It was very tough to make the switch. Believe me. So I know where you're coming from. I just figured I'd go with it. Oscar is still so young, so I think he only has room to improve and is a better player most likely this year than last, which may just translate into more consistency. He's just so involved in what goes on in and around the goal. I feel great about the move ultimately, due in part to the money it brings into my team.

Fair enough. I must say I gave it some thought as well, he just hasn't sold me, which probably means he will go on a tear over the next 5. Here is a question: Drop a blues defender to clear room for Costa and Aguero?

For all future Oscar owners, head my advice, I owned him for 6 Gw's where he produced nothing as I was waiting for his long overdue goal. When I finally got rid and lost my nerve, he accumulated 32 points in 3 games.

Patience is a virtue with a player like him, I'm sure many Eriksen owners know what I'm talking about here

I just picked him up, and after owning him for a bit last season, I am all too aware of the possible pitfalls. I like the advanced attacking role, so I swapped Fabregas out for him. This freed up money to also allow me to trade out Fer for Eriksen.

He's a better pick than Kane, but people don't trust QPR.

Spurs will create more or better quality chances than QPR will for Austin. Kane is the better pick, imo.

Just had to work through that on wildcard. It came down to:

          Puncheon - ADM - Kane
          or
          Chadli - Cazorla - Austin

I went for the 2nd option. Done and dusted.

Anyone else considering colback over boyd? 100% nailed on, on corners and loves having a shot at goal. Burnleys fixtures are horrid till seasons end.

Doesn't really matter for a 5th mid to be honest. I'm considering getting Albrighton because he's that much cheaper.

Hi guys! My first season so trying to figure some things out. How useful is the use-any-time wildcard in the latter half of the season? I ask because I think I've blown my Winter WC too early. Just slipped from 20k to 50k. Here's what I Winter WCed to:

    Panti (Foster)
    Bertrand - Cahill - Gardos - (Wisdom) - (Hutton)
Hazard - Sanchez - Di Maria - Sigurdsson (Boyd)
    Aguero - Austin - Kane

    0.0 ITB

Transferred out Costa and feeling like its a mistake! Would it be rash to use my use-any-time WC to do:

    Gardos --> van Aanholt
    Austin --> Costa
    Di Maria --> Jedinak

    0.0 ITB

Feeling like I might be kneejerking, but also that missing Costa could cost me. Any advice much appreciated!

I feel you on that one. I still think Costa struggles to "blow up" consistently. With guys like Hazard and Oscars pushing for goals, it seems far more likely for Costa to continue his one goal, zero BPS hauls. During the first half of the season, Aguero was the only one who scored for City. With them 5 points behind, they cannot affort to sit on the defense. They need to attack and Aguero is the man to do it. Sit on what you have and ride it out. That extra WC could make the difference late.

Ok, thanks for the reply! That aside, do you think my team looks reasonable? Also, what sort of thing makes typically makes people play the other wildcard?

That doesn't look like a good idea. Wasting a FT for 3 transfers and 2 of them are quite bad.

        Wasting a WC*
And also, that other WC will come usefull for future double game weeks.

Ride it out. Knee-jerking never goes well. A few of those teams of great four or five game spells. You want to see how they perform over that time, not game to game necessarily.

    Foster, Myhill
    Terry, Bertrand, Wisdom, PvA, Hutton
    Hazard, Sanchez, ADM, Chadli, Boyd
    Aguero, Costa, Kane

    panti hamer
terry clyne PVA wisdom some 3.9-valued, non-playing rando calrissian
    sanchez elia chadli fabregas santi
    costa aguero kane
don't much care about how i do and where i finish so have no misgivings about shipping hazard. the only concern is the spurs double up, which might end with my hanging chadl*

He's been a solid fantasy option at times the previous two seasons, has good fixtures and is really cheap. Compare him with Elia (Who's his main competition at that price), and he's a much more known quantity.

No. If Van Gaal gets off his high horse and plays a 4-4-2 which seems likely, watch ADM go off.
