Any doubt over Dawson's selection? Have the cash for Lescott if necessary.

Just did Wisdom to Dawson on a free. Why pay more for basically the same fantasy player.

Once he gets a settled back four he's happy with he tends to stick with it. I think it's Dawson's spot now.

I think the goal threat is similar but Lescott more likely to pick up BAPS and less likely to be rotated

Personally feel Sanchez not worth the price tag in the current Arsenal setup.

Call me crazy but with so many options in midfield and Giroud up front as well, Cazorla is the best bang for buck option from Arsenal.

Talented player, playing central with set piece and pens in his locker. Yup.

I am absoulety screwed for next game week and not really down to my own poor planning. Can anyone please help me with extra ideas

    my team is

    Forster
PVA* Baird* Wasil* Terry* Gardos * (lol thats all my defence out)
    Walcott* Sanchez Boyd Hazard* Silva
    Kane* KUN Defoe

yep that is 8 players out or dropped and no defence

I have two free transfers and 2.4 itb

    was thinking of

Alderweid (if fit) , Wollscheid and Cazorla in for Walcott, Gardos and Wasil

leaving me with 9 players and a -4 pts

    any other ideas? should i drop - 8 ?

    deseprate for ideas please folks?

That's the risk of cheap defenders. Baird and Gardos were always risky. We knew Wasil had a blank coming up. I regard pva as more unlucky (perhaps because he's in my team too)

I would probably ditch Wasi as he has no game and has lost his place it seems to Huth, and also Baird. Stay clear of Aldy for now till he is nailed again you have enough worries. Dawson and Wasi have favourable fixtures

PvA and Baird may still play.

So, get rid of the 2 defenders that definitely won't play and aren't likely to see gametime soon, which is Wasilewski and Gardos.

Walcott should get some playing time, so I'd gamble on getting 11 out of that lot with no hits. Don't think this is the GW to take hits on as looks to be a low scoring one.

Guys, I know its early days but I've got 2 FT so need to use 1 anyway.

current team for next GW is:

    Krul
    Pva, Bellerin, Clyne, Hutton
    Silva, Boyd, Caz
    Kun (c), Giroud (v)

    Bench: Foster, Terry, Eriksen, Kane

    £0.1 in bank

Should I leave my bench as it is and just go with those 10, hoping Bellerin and PvA make it?

The only player I'd consider changing on the bench is Terry. I could do Terry to Cresswell but that just seems short term and I'd want Terry back the next week.

    Decisions, decisions!

I'm in the same situation as well. I have 2FT however I only have 9 players with games.

I say leave your team as is since you do not need to bring in a starter.

      save them.

    Re-post (off the cricket article):

    Team for next week:

    Foster
    Clyne, Wollscheid, Koscielny, Baird
    Sanchez, ADM, Puncheon, Boyd
    Aguero, Defoe

    Myhill, Terry, Hazard, Kane

I have 2 free transfers, 3.1 in the bank and exact money to do Puncheon + Defoe to Eriksen + Austin next week. What should I do this week? Need to get rid of Baird but would have to be for another 3.9 def (Bruce/McShane?) or I cant do the move above next week

Not sure that by the time you go to get Eriksen and Austin they'll be the same price anyway,

Other than Yun when he's fit there really aren't any other nailed on £3.9m defenders so its as much as a gamble with McShane and Bruce as it is with Baird imo.

I wouldn't expect many to be transferring them in this week since they have a blank, so they really shouldn't be moving in price, then I'll get them next Saturday. Other option is ADM to Silva, gives 0.1 room and Silva's next few matches look much better than ADM

Strange GW this week. Finished with 58, well above average, well above the top 20k average and yet got a red arrow dropping about 1000 places just outside 20k. Not really sure if it constitutes a decent week or not.

This will help you put your GW scores into a better context. At your rank the average score of the top 10K (62 points) is more important than the overall average. It's not really a decent week, but not a bad one either in my opinion!

      1. Pie-o-My
        • 12 Years

It was more the top 20k predicted average I looked at given I was 19k. It's only a few points worth of difference in rank really so not that worried, more surprised. Top 10k is a tough crowd, not so difficult to keep rough pace but very hard to catch up given the constantly high averages each week.

And an important EL fixture on Thursday. Starting then, Spurs have 4 games in 9 days, the last 2 of which are the DGW. There is bound to be rotation and the DGW doesn't look so good for Spurs players as a result - many of them won't play 2 full games.

True, but I am honestly beginning to think that extracting value out of the DGW will be like trying to get blood out of a stone.

Personally I won't bring in any player, Spurs or QPR, that I'm not happy to keep afterwards. For me that means Kane and Eriksen and that's it.

Correct me if i'm wrong but he is an injury prone player. Even if he's played 15+ games this season i doubt he has more than 2 CS. I think there is better value for .2m more.

Pretty happy with how the team looks for next week.

    Foster
    PVA Clyne Trippier Wisdom*
    AdM Theo sanchez Downing
    aguero N'doye

I reckon theo will get a run out in a home game so happy to stick by him one more week. Only change I think will be wisdom to either Dawson (west brom) or alderweireld if fit.

      Wisdom→dawson imo

That's likely what I'll do. Had hoped alderweireld would have been back this week but as he wasn't he's highly unlikely to come straight back in and get 90 mins. Dawson seems a decent long term cheap option in a profitable defence.

Now he's had a rest I'd be confident that he will start both games.

Starting this Thursday Spurs will play 4 games in 10 days.

Eriksen got rested today. As an owner I'm not confident he starts both DGW games.

The cup final in itself is going to have a huge effect on Spurs starters let alone then playing Swansea 4 days later.

    B) Ameobi -> Brady

Anyone knows if Ameobi has just been dropped? Team news section had him starting this week and he might get a chance next week after that newcastle performance? Hope I wont need him after GW27
