That's generally correct. However, there might be an uptick in season wildcards being played this week as some of those who have them left use them to cope with the blanks this week, thus causing a little more instability in the predictions. FPLStats seemed to be doing a pretty good job of coping all things considered.

Indeed, TM. This site is an acquired taste for sure. TFF and Rick were always far too savvy for newcomers.
I've noticed that the consensus on here is that Giroud->Austin for the DGW isn't worth it, but I got that transfer locked and loaded already.
Doesn't anyone fear rotation for Giroud? GW28 is a midweek round inbetween matches against Everton and the FA Cup quarter final against Man United for Arsenal. Add a CL game this wednesday to that mix and I just can't see Giroud playing it all. The QPR game sticks out as the biggest risk of him being rotated for me.
Should that happen then Austin will likely get 150-160 minutes more gametime than Giroud in GW28. That's huge.Count me among the happy minority then 🙂

Why would Giroud be rotated over the likes of Sanchez/Ozil/Caz etc? You could argue that all the Arsenal players are a rotation threat, however none of us know which one in particular will be rotated out. My main argument against Austin is that he has some rough fixtures and Giroud is in excellent form. Why waste a transfer on Austin when you'll probably need to waste another one to get rid of him after the DGW
Form is the key, we know that. But remember Wenger can also play Walcott or Sanchez in his position. I tend to agree that the QPR game is the likeliest fixture for Wenger to rest him, just like against Leicester. No one knows, though.
and fwiw if I do get Austin in DGW28, I think he'd stay a bit longer so I don;t think I'll waste another transfer to ditch him.All the Giroud sellers from the last few weeks wish they still had him. I can't see any reason to sell as I'd want him back.
Good point there. But if I do sell him, I can always consider Ozil/Santi/Walcott as my next ARS player (currently with Sanchez + Bellerin + him). Mad to drop him with that kind of form I know, but then I used to own Austin for a long period and he served me well, regardless of fixtures. I see no reason why can;t do it again, even though QPR are being sh*te at home atm.
Look at their last 5 home games, 1 goal. I'm steering well clear and having 2 transfers to hopefully use more productively on players I'll keep longer term.

Walcott has not played upfront in ages and I doubt it will happen again . I never even consider rotation unless a manager specifically says he will rotate a player and even then its useless because we can only guess anyway .
Agree but consider this:
Austin : #1 striker at the club, bad team, no one to challenge his spot, no PK duties
Giroud: #1 striker at the club, good team, some star players to challenge his spot, no PK duties.
Pretty even, but I don't think the proposed transfer is that bad of an idea.

I don't think Sanchez will ever be rotated, but I'm with you on the other two. One of them could easily be rested while Giroud plays. It just seems to me that Giroud is slightly more likely to be rotated along with Walcott/Welbeck than the other offensive players @ Arsenal.

Why not? If PVA doesn't play (likely) i won't have 11. my average PPG for my defenders is 3.8, and that is less than a -4 hit.
I'd sit tight or get rid of Terry if anybody as he's the only one you won't be bringing right back in next week.
I am by circumstance not by choice going with three as I already have them all. Hoping for a big score from them but you might want to ship the dgw player who will cost you the least to get back.

I'm leaning toward Rooney and Sterling as I think they're both safer bets fitness wise and more nailed on. Silva is also tempting. But yeah then one of Giroud/Rooney would turn into Kane for the DGW.
Rooney and Sterling sounds good, too. Think of it this way, you can't lose with any two from Sterling Silva Rooney Sturridge, but are you sure this is the week to ship a player with a fixture like Theo?
Welbeck's been keeping him out of the team. It's too big a risk innit. I've thought about selling Eriksen though as he's still getting rotated and with fixtures piling up he may not play both in the DGW. Seems silly but such is the lure of Wally.

Worth taking the risk I think. He can rot on the bench in future, can't see him being with a transfer or anything likely to be worth a hit.
If you want Kane for the double, maybe change Baird and Walcott and go 442? This way you can sort a problem at the back and avoid having to make a second striker transfer in two weeks.
