With Chelsea and Tottenham out of contention this week, Fantasy managers are eyeing up the premium price bracket for potential replacements in the centre of the park. Whilst Spurs’ double Gameweek 28 will surely persuade Christian Eriksen owners to hold, the Blues’ pair Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas have been subject to significant transfers out this week after struggling to pick up the points in recent matches.

Fabregas, in particular, has afforded his 33% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) owners cause for concern after serving up just two assists since the turn of the year. Hazard’s single strike and two assists in six has been boosted by nine bonus points, but with the Belgian’s goal threat very much on the slide, there are a number of options available for those looking to freshen up their five-man midfields.

In our second members article of the week, we cast an eye over four pricey midfielders – David Silva, Mesut Ozil, Raheem Sterling and Angel Di Maria – whose recent form is very much on the rise. The quartet have all delivered returns in three of their last four league appearances and are starting to find consistency as the battle for our Fantasy attention heats up.

I capped Wally 3 times in the last 4 so he's technically gotten me 40 points (2 caps for 30 points and then not featuring and giving my vice Aguero another 9) 😆

I'd keep for 27 if I owned but would probably turn into Eriksen for the DGW.

so today didn't reveal a hell of a lot for me, but I'm now thinking I'll keep Wally one more match (and turn him into Eriksen)..I just have to hope he starts..probably PvA > Dawson and save the other FT..even if PvA is set to start, United will definitely score at home

    2FT, 1.3m

    ...............Krul
    ..PvA, Toby, Wolly, Clichy
    Sanchez, Caz, Wally, Boyd
    ........Defoe, Aguero

    Panti, Haz, Kane, Terry

Fair play - didn't mean to sound like a poopyhead. Just genuinely means nothing what any fan of a team would say on the fitness of a given player, really. All will be revealed during the press conference.

which 2 transfers would you prioritise for the DGW (with 2FT)

          Clichy>Rose/Vertonghen
          Cazorla>Eriksen
          Defoe>Austin

don't mind at all, this place should be a hive mind in the end..

is Cazorla your only Arsenal? I have no idea in that one (as you can see I have 3 Arsenal and want rid of two by DGW)

if it's among only those 3, certainly the top 2 for me..Sunderland play Hull (a) in the DGW and QPR have Arsenal and Tottenham at home..Austin could easily put up a 4 tbh (though you never know I guess with pens?)

I dont think he will be starter at all.. Clichy usually plays vs strong opponents and City has few very easy opponents next few gw's, also his form is dropping as we saw in game vs Barca. Better option is Kolarov (he will play most likely and he is way more offensive).

Noughton from Swansea. Swansea doesnt concede too much and they play with no pressure so they will play slowly and will wait for the chance to score so Swansea def is good to invest in. Also they have relatively easy fixture next few gw's. Wouldn't recommend any Villa def player because they have to play way more offensive if they want to stay in BPL.

well Wally because he's clearly not a starter according to Arsene (at least as far as we can see: 20 vs Boro, nothing vs Palace, 30 vs Monaco) and Sanchez because of price point vs alternatives in the side (like Ozil)

        1. Lallana_
          • 12 Years

Due to the pressure of the fans I wouldn't be surprised to see Walcott included in the starting XI more.

Regarding Sanchez there is a huge decline but his goalscoring killer instinct is what makes me want to keep him. He's also second on pens (I believe) after Cazorla. I'm guessing Cazorla will be getting rotated more now which is good for Sanchez.

Getting in Eriksen in next week is a good shout. Silva is also a great shout with the fixtures!

yeah so it's opportunity cost..does Sanchez plus whoever I have to keep due to funds outscore Ozil (for example) plus replacement player that has 2m more allotted to him?

I pulled a -12 not long ago and it worked out for the positive for me. It was a huge highlight of the fantasy season. Still riding a rush from it. My -4 paid off last GW as well. Too bad I've taken a ton of other hits that probably did more damage than good. Have trouble in that department.

It is likely Liverpool will lineup as:

    Toure Skrtel Lovren
    Ibe Can Allen Moreno
    Sterling Lallana

I hope Rodger's lines-up like this against City. Lovren is crap at the moment. Aguero's pace will destroy him.

        Mignolet
        Toure Skrtel Sakho
        Markovic Can Henderson Moreno
        Sterling Coutinho

Thinkin' about it. I don't think he was one of the poorer performers. I mean, the whole team laid a collective egg really. But if I had to say some guys deserve to be spared an abundance of criticism, he would be one of them.

One of my favorite fan reactions. A Liverpool fan reacting to Chelsea parking the bus and ruining Liverpool's title hopes last season 😆

A whiles back i had a baines sized hole to fill, torn between terry and ivan. Plumped for ivan just cos i could. So terry starts scoring weekly and ivan does nothing. When i finally swap to terry on jan wc they switch. Fookers

I think, in general, that he is more donkey than instinctive goal poacher. But, with that said, he is under rated in the Fantasy game. If that makes sense. For his points to price ratio he is good, in this game.
In real life Chelsea have Costa, City have Aguero, hes not at that level for sure.

That's a tough one. It really depends how often you think Zouma will play the rest of the season. I kinda think playing time will be spilt pretty evenly between Zouma/Cahill, even though Zouma's been really good by most accounts. So I'd probably sell Zouma.

              so is that statement a

              a) PvA to Lescott is a better transfer because he's the better Brom option

              OR

              b) PvA to a West Brom defender because they're a good add AND Lescott is the best available

have a feeling wenger will revert to chambers....in his post match presser he said we were a bit suicidal defensively, and bellerin + gibbs were caught way too far up the pitch on numerous occasions, so it wouldn't surprise we to see the more defensively stable full-back pair of chambers and monreal return to the xi...but its just a stab in the dark 😀

    Pantilimon (Heaton)
    Clyne / Naughton / PvA / WASILEWSKI
    Sanchez / Cazorla / Silva / Boyd
