Our first delve into the members data this week sees us assess the recent displays of Sergio Aguero, Diego Costa and Olivier Giroud and take a look at the “Sherwood effect” on Christian Benteke as Villa prepare for double Gameweek 31. We also check out the form of Swansea and Tottenham’s playmakers as the fixtures turn kind for both clubs.
-
Think Hutton will be back in starting 11 this GW?
-
70/30 in his favour.
-
15% chance, i'd say.
Bacuna was way better than he has been all season. -
After they won 4-0 away from home, I don't think any manager would change that team
-
I'd be surprised if he was.
-
-
is it madness to do giroud out to benteke ? 😀
other strikers are aguero and kane-
Yep, step away from the PC
-
Yes, especially when everyone is trying to find a way to get him in.
-
Yes hold fire arsenal could easily still have a double gw 31 wait till Sat
-
-
Hello. Bad GW, 25 points, worse than most of the others.
Team is in shambles. Defence, basically.
For the next week, it is like.
Ospina, (Krul),
van Aanholt, Bertrand, *Wollscheid, (Naughton, Stones),
Silva, Sanchez, Hazard, Eriksen,
Kane, Kun, Austin.
Stones to Azpi, and save the other FT? 1.0 ITB-
I would keep stones, decent enough home fixtures and a diff. Look at PVA out i reckon
-
No proper replacement for PVA.
And 5 points in 5 games, rather not have such a differential.-
As for replacement, I was talking about a Chelsea defender.
-
Look to the future! But yeh pretty awful so far from him.
Hmmm i dont know bud, i had Azpi and he kept getting dropped. If your sure he will start most games then go for it-
I don't know, just think with no cup commitments, the best XI will play every league game from now on. And I'm pretty sure Azpi is Mou's best LB.
-
Yep sound logic but expect him to miss one or two. Luis too good and was in form before his injury
-
-
-
-
-
Is azpi nailed ?
If yes, i would do that without doubt -
what HVT said on the thread 😉
-
-
Just for gw who to start rose or kos?
-
kos
-
this
-
-
-
I have Austin - Kane - Kun
so GW 31 IF Arsenal has DGW so should sell any one to get Giroud ??
A- Austin ( Aston Villa & West Brom ) Both Away
B- Agüero (Crystal Palace) Away
C- Kane ( Burnley ) Away-
same position, likely sell Austin!
-
All if and buts hold and wait for news I'd punt on Giroud in for Kane IF a DGW for Arsenal
-
D) Don't get Giroud
-
if giroud has a dgw I think he is pretty essential to get considering his form
-
-
Probably Kane. Probably!
I have similar over Villa
Now on
Giroud/ Aguero/Kane
any can be Benteke next week
-
-
What needs to happen for the Arsenal DGW 31??
Bit out of the loop here-
Just the announcement.
-
Oh I see. Was dependent on last night then?
-
-
I was told on here yesterday Arsenal could not have a DGW 31...
😕-
-
Hmmm
-
Might have to sell Kun...
-
Still confused.
So GW31 is very possible-
No idea. I was told / understood it as "no it's not possible"...
-
Answered a bit below, hes wrong to state its not possible before 34. 31 is possible

When you gonna tell your wife she ain't married a popstar 🙂

Oh believe me she knows that now, no more whisking her off on tours around the world its strictly hard stats and face time with bearded men in my box room 😛
-
No surprises
-
-
-
To be honest im not totally convinced that this isnt Thom Yorke and that he is big into Sky Fantasy
-
He goes to my gym. I was posting on here last summer, saying he was doing lengths in front of me in his Speedo's 😆
-
How can you be sure it wasent me testing out the snugness 😀

Nice dream

He oddly wanders around all the time, and nobody bothers him

Had the worst GW till now.
Krul - Panti
Jones - Clyne - Terry - Hutton - PVA
Hazard - Sigurdsson - Sterling - Boyd - Eriksen
Kane - Kun - Austin
Have 1FT and 4.9
Was doing Austin to Costa but the DGW stopped me. Any other suggestions?-
Save, or upgrade Jones/PVA to double up on Che/Sou defence?
-
Jones to Alderw?
Jones to Ivan?
Sterling to Ars mid? -
3 x WBA defenders in. Sharpish.
-
-
Let's face facts.
Arsenal need Ramsey starting. So basically somebody needs to get dropped?-
Look up with regards to Arsenal DGW...
😕-
Mohan seems wrong there. Why could it not be on GW 31 same night as the re-arranged Villa QPR game?
-
I dunno. His post was prior to the re arranged villa/qpr game so maybe he feels different now...
lol-
Maybe, but even with his stated parameters 31 was always possible
-
Yeah. Big ball ache now. Was ready to sell Austin....might have to rid my team of the stinker called Kun!
-
Giroud/Kun/Kane here
Loking at Kane/Giroud to Bentekke which is just 10 shades of wrong-
Would you sell Austin knowing he has a double in GW 31?
-
shirley the Ars game will now also fall into GW 31?
-
If i had to bet a tenner if 31 or 34. i would say 31 and announced today. Note this is with no info and just a guess
-
-
no, dont think i would.
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
Coq Ramsey
Ozil Caz Sanchez
Gru-
Agreed
-
guess its their best line up
-
Agreed
-
-
Their prem form fine, doubt much will change
-
Still can't find my G spot. 😕
-
It's there, believe me.
-
-
Id drop welbeck but people like his workrate
-
i watched last night highlights...welbeck looks like the man of the match?
-
-
-
Benteke will be making his way on my team this week or next.
Transfer out priorities this week?
A) Sterling
B) Cazorla-
none
-
Sterling for me
-
Sterling
-
Sterling is a pain to own. No doubt when you sell he'll start returning points in the big games. I'd still sell him out of the two though as I think Arsenal will whoop Newcastle and DGW31 could turn into a DGW for Arsenal. Maybe wait until end of week to hear on that as it will sway your thinking.
-
I suppose holding one week wont kill me.
Liverpool vs Man U is a big game so who knows!
-
-
-
Either of these worth a hit given the DGW?
Santi & Ayoze ->
A) Phillips & Benteke
B) Mane & Austin
Myhill
Terry, Berty, Bellerin
Sanchez, Hazard, Silva, Eriksen, Santi
Aguero, Kane
Foster, Haidara, PVA, Ayoze
Bank 0.1m, 1FT, 1WC-
Keep Santi pending DGW/moving to number 10 role.
-
maybe, ozil is due a rest
-
-
-
Anyone else enter these occasionally? http://www.theguardian.com/football/gallery/2015/mar/17/gus-poyet-the-gallery
-
Bellerin to Alderweireld or Yoshida?
-
Toby
-
Alder
-
Thanks both
-
-
Matt Upson. Is he nailed on?
-
Not sure. Good bench fodder option.
-
-
Any news on Foster?
-
His knee fell off.
-
Out for at least 4 weeks
-
Four weeks, they say.
-
4 weeks :/
-
ergh, just seen he's out for ages. Saaaaaaaavage
-
A month, so 31 days.
-
-
Big numbas. Thanks Paul. Great
-
Need some advice after a disastrous gw. Dropped from 25 k to 35 k and need to climb back fast.
Krul (Elliott)
Ivanovic, Bellerin, Rose, (Wolly,Baird)
Hazard(c), Sanchez, Silva, Eriksen, (lucas)
Aguero, Kane, Austin
No money itb
A. Rose>Alderweild
B. Eriksen>Mane
C. Save ft-
A
-
Great team. Think DGWs now.
-
have my wc intact so will probably use that in gw 34 when the big dgw likely is
-
Okay. Would still save the transfer. Maybe Bellerin can be rotated. Could gamble on a Villa defender.
-
thanks for the advice and maybe Guzan for krul before gw 31 but not sure
-
-
-
-
A
-
Rose->Dawson
Baird->Lezcott
Elliot->Myhill-
🙂
-
-
-
any opinions about taking philips for QPR DGW as 4th mid??
just sold austin for giroud last week,, 🙂-
Not heavy enough - just leave Boyd as your fifth cheapo and get a power 4 in there.
-
if u,,what u will do with 1 FT and 0.6 ITB? thankz for opinion
-
-
mid --- hazard ozil sterling (moses/downing -> philips)
fwd-- kane aguero giroud -
Phillips a good shout for the DGW.
-
maybe a good differential?
-
-
-
Anyone got any stats of Tony Pulis' teams against Man City?
-
or where I can find them
-
I'm playing myGil and hoping for the best 😉
-
2013, man city vs cpl (managed by pulis) ended 1-0. Pulis played 4-5-1
-
I'd take that! Though, 0-1 would probably be better 😉
-
-
-
-
Not been on during the game and have read a couple of pages, so apologies if this has been discussed in length already.
Sanchez looked ineffective last night. Attempted runs ending in being tackled or poor end product. This seems to be a continuation of his recent form and I'd not be a confident owner right now.
I see two ways of looking at the return of Ramsey in regards to Sanchez:
1. Cazorla moving further forward should increase his appeal after a lacklustre few weeks for him.
2. Cazorla moving into the number 10 role should increase creativity for Sanchez to latch onto rather than needing to beat men and be creative for others.
Thoughts?-
By point 1, I mean that Cazorla becomes the better option.
-
I have Sanchez and I kind of want to get rid, but who for? Ramsey isn't secured for minutes, we don't know where Cazorla will play and Ozil is hit and miss.
I think I may end up keeping him-
Ozil looks the best bet he threads passes through a lot. Sanchez will get a cricket score sooner or later but I'm happy with the money saved
-
-
My only concern with the idea of Cazorla being nailed higher up is that he's likely to rotate with Ozil for the wing/#10 position with Sanchez being the pacy winger on the other side. Cazorla isn't particularly effective on the wing of Ozil hogs the central areas which I think he will.
Then you could argue that Wenger might like to bring Walcott in from time to time to add pace and penetration on the other wing. Cazorla is the fall guy if this happens.-
Good points. I can see it changing up from time to time after 60 minutes, but don't see Walcott being back in the starting 11. Caz out wide is ineffective like you say. He seems the most composed on the back to pick a pass at the moment. Wenger likes Ozil in the 10 role so it is tough to see how he'll go about it.
-
I agree that Walcott will spend most of the time on the bench but will have numerous sub appearances to mix things up, reduced game time for Cazorla/Ramsey is the likely result. Might be worth keeping for this week perhaps but I wouldn't put much faith in either Cazorla or Sanchez right now.
-
This weekend should clear everything up. If I had to choose an Arsenal mid now it would be Caz though.
-
-
-
-
Sanchez is really the only player in the attach that's nailed on IMO, so I'm keeping until further notice.
-
Ozil just as nailed if not more coz Sanchez looks tired
-
I think the midfield and attack is all nailed on now they're out of CL.
-
I think it'll be worse now. Surely Ramsey, Walcott and welbeck can't keep coming of the bench until the rest of the season.
-
They will. Really tight race for 2nd right now (4th in Arsenals case 😉 )
-
Ramsey comes into the team for Welbeck. It's Welbeck and Walcott that will likely be the bench boys.
-
-
-
-
-
Was set on Austin > Giroud until DGW news, now what do to?
Panti (Krul)
Terry / Clyne / Bellerin (Dawson / Hutton)
Haz / Sanchez / Silva / Erik (JWP)
Kun / Kane / Austin
A) Save FT
B) Upgrade Terry > Ivan
C) Bellerin > Toby
Anyone think Bellerin will start this GW?-
Would do C and no I dont think he will
-
-
Foster > Myhill seems alright doesn't it? He's a decent goalie.
-
or maybe a Leicester goalie? Who is the most nailed on keeper for them?
-
Schwarzer, if you don't like clean sheets.
-
Schmeichel will be back this/next GW so not worth the risk
-
-
Foster will be back for GW33, or GW34 at the latest.
-
what would you do with this defence mate? have 2FT's
Foster / Krul
Clyne, Ivan, Wollsc, PvA, Naughton
Wollsc > Toby Ald
Foster > Myhill?-
You've got a keeper for GW33, so I'd look to get a DGW keeper for GW34. This is where it's tricky because I think Mignolet is the best option, though his short term fixtures aren't the best. The answer depends on your budget. Myhill a good option if funds are tight, but it means another keeper transfer later or you'll be stuck with Krul every week.
-
Fabianski/Adrian are also options.
-
-
Have you seen his fixtures from GW34. They are really really bad, even for a Pulis defence its drawing a long bow if you're willing to carry him for that.
-
Stick with Krul from GW34 or get someone decent now? I'd lean towards the latter.
-
Indeed. Have to get in a new keeper. Foster and Krul is quite unsustainable considering the circumstances.
-
maybe play Krul this week against Arsenal and take the 1 pointer and get a DGW goalie in?
-
DGW goalies are very short term though. You need a GKer for the rest of the season not just the DGW
-
yea I am struggling to find a good option! Forster is probably the only one that stands out, but that means I can't get Toby 🙁
-
Mignolet and play Krul in GW33, in my opinion.
-
Mignolet is a very nice under the radar bet
-
-
I'm probably getting Forster. Already have 3 Arsenal so Ospina isn't really an option
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
Foster -> Forster a good move?
Already own Mane and Clyne.. Alderweireld offers much better value at 4.7, but with Foster out and Krul my second goalie, I'm thinking it could be a decent move. Still got my WC, so I could bring Tony in later and sell Forster for a cheaper gk.-
I wouldn't go Forster to be honest. Would be too much in your goal keeper rotation
-
Forsters a great get and forget GKer option. He can be in your side for the rest of the season and you can be confident he'll get you returns. Considering doing the same move myself.
-
I want double Soton in defence, but I'd like Toby at 4.7.
However, with the Foster injury I think Forster in could be the way.
Bellerin - Clyne - Terry for this GW, so there isn't really any room for Tony now.-
Ospina isn't a bad option either if you're willing to get rid of Bellerin. Its a choice between those two for me.
-
Think I'm just gonna keep Bellerin. Ospina looks great at 4.9 but Pool after Newcastle and a blank coming up. Really like Soton fixtures.
-
-
-
-
Call me crazy, but Im even considering doing Panti->Forster.
I've lost all me confidence in Sunderland.-
Crazy!
Nah it's a good move. If Foster wasn't injured I'd do PvA -> Toby-
Im thinking of doing Pva/Panti->Forster/Toby...2 FT
-
My fear is Panti gets dropped this week(I don't have a backup keeper)
-
I like your thoughts. Good point, Dick might prefer Don Vito.
-
Something needs to change at Sunderland. It might be the troops...
-
-
-
-
-
-
Forster is a decent option for the next 4 but maybe someone has better fixtures if it's just for the next 4?
-
Forster has decent fixtures right up to GW 37
-
This.
BUR, eve, HUL, sto, TOT, sun, lei, AVL.-
eve and sto aren't the greatest considering you'd WC for GW 34 anyway.
-
They're not bad either, just saying there may be someone with better ones. Not had a proper look at fix.
-
Swansea have decent fixtures but I already own Naughton and don't want two defensive players from the Swans. Spurs have decent fixtures but I don't really want Lloris. Ospina play Pool in two weeks, so I'm leaning towards Forster tbh!
-
-
-
-
-
What about mignolet?
-
Man U and then Arsenal. After that yes
-
From GW 32 Mig looks great. Might as well play Krul instead of 'wasting' a transfer now when Migs play Man Utd and Ars in the next two. In my opinion
-
-
-
-
Team for GW 30 - 1 FT, 2.8 in the bank
Panti
Terry, Fonte, Bellerin
Hazard, Cazorla, Silva, Eriksen
Aguero, Kane, Austin
Subs: Krul, Moses, Naughton, CDawson
Anything worth doing or save? Austin > Giroud no longer a great idea right?-
Save!
-
Thanks Don
-
-
Save FT
-
-
Was all set for keeping Sanchez.
Yesterday he was awful. Keep or switch with FT too;
A) Santi
B) Ozil
C) Mane
Have Gru-
Will you keep Alexis if they have a DGW 31?
-
Obviously
-
-
not considering Ramsey?
-
I actually do! Forgot to put him in there
-
-
All of those are currently better options imo.
-
So you would get rid of Sanchez for Newcastle game? Tricky
-
I got rid of him a couple of weeks ago so I wouldn't hesitate to do it now.
-
-
-
Ozil
-
-
I don't know if monreal will be in starting lineup against Newcastle? What do you think guys?
-
Myhill
Ivanovic, Clyne, Bertie
Hazard, Wally, Eriksen, Silva
Aguero, Kane, Austin
1FT 0.9 itb.
Basically, stick or twist on Wally?-
Considering swapping for a more reliable Arsenal mid, especially if they have DGW31. Or downgrading to Siggy/Mane/Palace/Sinclair
-
bit out the loop.
Anyone have any inklings as to when we might know about any Ars DGW?
-
-
Yep, Wally needs to go
-
He needs to go, look up for the "which Arsenal mid" discussion. It's tough to say which one until we see the formation against Newcastle.
-
-
Isnt Ozil due a rest?
-
Sanchez more so
-
I disagree. I think Ozil will be rested this weekend with Santi back in hole. Sanchez had his rest during injury.
Nevertheless, considering Sanchez out after yesterday's game, may go for Ramsey-
Both are nailed tbh They'll both start
-
Probably yea
-
-
-
-
International break coming up. I don't forsee any managers wanting to rest their players for that.
-
Actually this
God bless you breadbin-
Reported ... 😉
-
Racist
-
-
-
international break is anything but a break for top internationals. They will have to travel to various parts of the world and take part in training. They will then play their respective internaitonal fixture. Injuries are frequently picked up on international duty so Wenger may decide that resting a player will minimise any injury risk when one of his players participate in different training methods
-
-
Nothing is due in this world other than Pelle's goal.
-
He has to start first for that to happen 😉
-
i think he would be better off letting Kun score the goals
-
-
-
Lads, just wondering, whats the age difference between you and your missus?
+ / - ?-
Fancying Mrs Christina?
😉-
ha! just made me wonder as I am dating a girl 4 years older
-
4.5 yrs btw
-
-
-
She : 28
Me : 27 -
Will let everyone know when I find my missus 😀
-
6 years 10 months (and it's not easy sometimes).
-
I'm older.
-
Im assuming youre the older?
-
-
+2 years
Pretty normal I guess
-
-
When will it be officially confirmed about GW31?
Still not anything on the PL site for double fixtures from what I can see.-
Villa and QPR are confirmed on the site.
-
It's confirmed but we're refusing to talk about it and the moderators are refusing to put up a tweet. #Illuminati.
