Mondogoal – Donate For Doosra Contest

As we announced in last night’s ScoutCast, our partners Mondogoal have very kindly launched a contest for this weekend in honour of Doosra’s ongoing recovery from illness.

For those who don’t know, Doosra has been a long standing and active member of the Fantasy Football Scout community for many years. He was recently taken ill and has been hospitilised for several weeks.

We’re delighted to hear recently that he is slowly edging his way back to recovery and we’re all optimistic of seeing his presence back on these pages in the coming months.

A few weeks back, Fantasy Football Scout successfully won Doosra a West Ham signed matchball in a Mondogoal contest. That aroused their interest and, on hearing on Doosra’s story, they very kindly put forward the concept of a special dedicated contest.

The contest takes place over this coming Gameweek. It’s £5 to enter, you can enter more than one team.

All proceeds from this contest will be distributed to Doosra’s family and/or charity of their choosing.

The winner of this contest will receive a special West Ham United Prize Pack that includes:

  • A West Ham United Team-Signed Jersey
  • A West Ham United Team-Signed Football
  • Match Tickets to see West Ham United v. Everton on the final home fixture of the season at Boleyn Ground on the 16th of May.

All fixtures from this matchweek are included, lineups lock at the start of the first match between Arsenal and Liverpool.

We’d love to see you involved and tussle for the right to win the West Ham goodies and perhaps also seek to donate these to Doosra and his family.

        I accidentally typed Oliveira as Oliviera and as I'm not prepared to compromise my standards I went back and edited it. Correcting that error and gave you the status of being first by the slimmest of margins. However, I wonder if the mods will take into account that my post makes it clear that it was James Wilson who dropped in price. Readers of your post might be confused and think Marc Wilson suffered a price drop. 😉

    Can anyone see the typical 'top five' clubs changing in the future? (Arsenal, Chelsea, Man city, Man U, Liverpool)?

    Personally, I think once Spurs new stadium is complete, they'll find a place, but who will drop out?

      Spurs have a good chance but not for a good few years yet - that stadium needs to be paid for.

      West Ham have half a chance if a billionaire fancies buying a club - London based and a new 54k stadium at tiny cost.

      On the menu on the left hand side of your screen in the members area look for team stats click on that and click on defending . On the right hand side of the screen when you enter the members area have a look at the members stats tables . Doosra's dodgy defenders . Those are the two places I usually go to . Hopefully answers are in one of those two places

        Thanks for the reply, I've had a look. Unfortunately I still can't see a stat for Shots On Target Conceded anywhere. I've looked through the entire table options list too 🙁

    On my Wildcard this week, can't decide on my front line (apart from keeping Kane!)

    Giroud - terrible fixtures to come but on form - one more blank player to deal with
    Aguero - great fixtures, broke scoring duck on the International
    Costa - want in for the DGW, but could wait
    Austin - if he does well it's going to hurt not having him
    Benteke - the differential DGW player.
    Sturridge - legs like glass, very expensive.
