As we announced in last night’s ScoutCast, our partners Mondogoal have very kindly launched a contest for this weekend in honour of Doosra’s ongoing recovery from illness.

For those who don’t know, Doosra has been a long standing and active member of the Fantasy Football Scout community for many years. He was recently taken ill and has been hospitilised for several weeks.

We’re delighted to hear recently that he is slowly edging his way back to recovery and we’re all optimistic of seeing his presence back on these pages in the coming months.

A few weeks back, Fantasy Football Scout successfully won Doosra a West Ham signed matchball in a Mondogoal contest. That aroused their interest and, on hearing on Doosra’s story, they very kindly put forward the concept of a special dedicated contest.

The contest takes place over this coming Gameweek. It’s £5 to enter, you can enter more than one team.

All proceeds from this contest will be distributed to Doosra’s family and/or charity of their choosing.

The winner of this contest will receive a special West Ham United Prize Pack that includes:

  • A West Ham United Team-Signed Jersey
  • A West Ham United Team-Signed Football
  • Match Tickets to see West Ham United v. Everton on the final home fixture of the season at Boleyn Ground on the 16th of May.

All fixtures from this matchweek are included, lineups lock at the start of the first match between Arsenal and Liverpool.

We’d love to see you involved and tussle for the right to win the West Ham goodies and perhaps also seek to donate these to Doosra and his family.

We’d like to thank Mondogoal for taking time to create this contest and for their donation.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

So just took a gander at WhoScored's take on the PL's best XI this season based on their ratings -

    -----------------------------Panti(7.1)------------------------------
    Ivan(7.4) - Tomkins(7.5) - P.Jones(7.5) - Clichy(7.4)
    Sanchez(7.4) - Fabregas(7.7) - Cazorla(7.7) - Hazard(8.0)

Yeah, was surprised that Jones was rated higher than DDG oddly enough. Panti may be there for all his save points racked up over the course of the season and maybe pass%, will have to check on that. Clichy i think is there due to his share of assists and goals (same as Ivan), got him MotM a couple of times and more than most defenders.

By the way Muppet, saw your comment re: falcao. Iirc it's not an option to sign him permanently, but an agreement to do so if he makes 15 appearances and scores 5 goals. He's hit the 15 appearance mark, and have been reduced to starting half the games instead of starting every game since his 4th goal. Be very afraid if he scores another 🙂

Lads and lasses, final bit of help for this week

    Myhill (Foster)

    Ivan Terry (Fonte Naughton Haidara)

Haz (c) Sanchez Mane Silva (boyd)

    Kun Kane Austin

    1) play fonte or naughton?
    2) Captain on Hazard right now....would you change that? 76 points ahead in my ML. Closest rival doesn't have Haz but has Kane, Giroud, Austin - all potentially good captains

Benching Raheem and going Hazard, Silva, Sinclair (v) , Ramsey, Kane, Benteke (c), Aguero.

I know he's fit and prob start up top but this contract stuff is an unnecessary distraction. 2-1 to the Gunners. Skrtel will be a big loss, clumsy and all as he is. 🙁

    Morning folks.

First how is my lineup for this week. Secondly any other transfer you'd make?

2 FT 1 used on Davies and 2.5 ITB.

    Davies

    Naughton Terry Berty

    Coutinho Haz Sanchez Erik

    Kane Austin x 2(c) Aguero

Krul Hutton x 2 Boyd Bellerin

Morning all. Thinking 2 dull (ish) transfers with the future in min

    Myhill/Foster
    Terry/ Alderw PVA/ Wollo/ Hadria
    Hazard/ Sanchez/ Silva/ Erik/ Boyd
    Aguero/ Kane/ Giroud

    2FT 0.8 ITB No WC

Planning- Terry and Wollo to Ivan and Naughton (annoyingly 0.1 short of Terry to Ivan)

Sanchez and Giroud get two more game weeks before they become Siggy/Mane/ Dowing etc and Costa

    Any thought?

Really not sure about Terry to Ivan mate. I prefer Ivan but transfers at this time are precious and not convinced about the rest of your defence to be honest. I'd look to move to Naughton this week and Dawson or Lescott next and then your double Arsenal swap in two weeks time.

Do you think this plan for the next two weeks has a some strength behind it?:

I have 2FT so looking at using one to do:
Sanchez > Mata for this week only (Villa game).

Next week use one of the 2FT to do:
    Mata > Siggy

At the moment, my team is clear of any flags (injuries/suspensions) and I’m not too sure where to use one of the two FTs I have this week.

That was my initial thought, but literally can't see a decent move for this week.

        Squad is:

        Pants / Myhill
        Terry Clyne Naughton PvA Yun
        Sanchez Hazard Silva Eriksen Boyd
        Kun Giroud Kane

Yeah, see your dilemma. If you didnt have 2FTs i would say hold.
