Our Friday lunchtime analysis of the PlayON Player Price List arrives once again. As always, we offer a couple of picks per position: one essential weekend target and a left-field alternative for your consideration.

PlayON are now running a number of different deadlines so Fantasy managers can have as much benefit of seeing teamsheets as possible. Tomorrow, for example, managers can pick teams for the weekly game (which includes all ten matches on Saturday, Sunday and Monday) and the single match game (for the Swansea versus Everton match) up to 12.45.

Managers can pick teams for all the 15.00 & 17.30 kick-offs up to 15.00 tomorrow. Their Daily game on Sunday, which includes two matches, has a deadline of 13.30. There’s free entry tournaments and guaranteed pots in all games so plenty for Fantasy managers to take advantage of – you can pick up to three different teams for each game now at www.PlayON.co

Goalkeepers – Kelvin Davis
The veteran stopper took over duties from the sidelined Fraser Forster and secured a 14th clean sheet of the season for Southampton in their previous home match against Burnley. Despite conceding to an early Phil Jagielka goal last time out in the 1-0 defeat at Everton, his opponents this week, Hull City, should offer little threat at St Mary’s ,with only two goals scored in their last six away trips. Davis is by far the cheapest option in Southampton’s backline and is the most popular keeper heading into the weekend’s action, selected by 30% of teams. We’re also backing Simon Mignolet (7.6m, 6% ownership) ahead of a visit from Newcastle. The Magpies have been struggling away from home, failing to score in three on the road and remain devoid of the suspended Papiss Cisse for Monday evening’s encounter. Granted, the Liverpool keeper conceded to both Man United and Arsenal but has still returned an impressive seven clean sheets in the previous 11, whilst a total of eight saves in the last two matches have kept his points ticker over.

Defenders – Hector Bellerin
Available for just 6.4m and sitting in 20% of PlayON sides, we reckon the youngster’s goal against Liverpool last week has done enough to retain the right-back berth ahead of Calum Chambers and fit-again Mathieu Debuchy as Arsenal make their way to Burnley. The Gunners arrive on the back of seven league wins and look a strong shout for defensive returns this weekend, bearing in mind that Sean Dyche’s side have scored just one goal in the last five matches. West Brom’s 4-1 home defeat to QPR last weekend was a major deviation from the standard for both sides. The Baggies had three successive clean sheets at the Hawthorns before that blip and with Leicester paying visit this weekend, Tony Pulis will be determined to grind out another shut-out before the fixtures turn nasty. Having missed out last weekend through suspension, Craig Dawson should return at right-back against the Foxes – at 6.4m, he offers decent value and is owned by just 11% of PlayON managers.

Midfielders – Jordan Henderson
The Liverpool midfielder continued his impressive form in midweek, after teeing up Philippe Coutinho for the winner at Blackburn. Henderson has become increasingly influential for the Merseysiders in the absence of Steven Gerrard and has scored in four of the last five Gameweeks ahead of the visit of struggling Newcastle. The addition of goals to his hard work-rate and defensive duties ensures Henderson is an ideal PlayON pick and a price tag of 8.8m (22% ownership) also makes him a relatively budget option compared to some of his pricier team-mates. Eden Hazard (14.2m) is our essential midfielder this week for Chelsea’s trip to QPR. A goal and an assist against Stoke, as well as three shots on target (worth 200 points each) reinforced the 59%-owned Belgian’s claim to be the most reliable and consistent player in the league on current form. Elsewhere for Chelsea, with Diego Costa sidelined, Loic Remy (9.8m) is likely to replace the Spaniard up front and could also be worth including as a double-up; the pair appear to have developed an understanding, with Hazard providing the pass for two of the Frenchman’s last three goals.

Forwards – Glenn Murray
The striker inspired Crystal Palace to a fourth win in five matches, netting and serving up an assist in the 2-1 victory over Man City. Murray has now produced five goals and two assists in five appearances for the Eagles and currently has the minutes-per-goal ratio in the Premier League. Up against a Sunderland side that have conceded in 11 of 16 home matches and available for 7.5m, Murray offers a differential that only 3% of PlayON teams have currently drafted in. Harry Kane makes the picks again ahead of a visit from Aston Villa. Despite failing to score at Burnley, the Spurs striker will be looking to get back most the goals against a defence that’s conceded six times in two matches over the last week. With a price tag of 8.6m, over 52% of PlayON managers have already snapped up Kane’s services.

Head over to www.PlayON.co to get your teams in for the free entry and guaranteed pot games.

No idea who to bring in for Costa this week. Toss up between Aguero, Murray, Remy and Gomis, each have their pros and cons. Any suggestions?

No double figures all season and not even guaranteed the minutes. Has the potential but ridiculous price to pay for someone who isn't particularly match sharp.

I don't think he's particularly good value, but he does have attacking returns in his last three starts

As someone without my WC the uncertainty this week is really tempting me to hold my FT. Just reading the Chelsea forward tea leaves alone is baffling me.

I asked in the DZ last night, but is anyone else holding fire this week?

If I had Austin I would save FT. However, I have Costa so really need to use it

Was considering it but I think I'd rather save next week as the players I'll want to bring in are all Liverpool players and I won't be able to do that next week.

"Only Diego is injured, everybody else is fine and ready (to play at QPR). I think we have eight matches to play, if he plays four it is normal. If he plays three he is a bit below what I am expecting. If he plays five that is more than I am expecting. I am not concerned (by his injury)."

The tweet says nothing about any particular 4 matches btw. Just that he is expected to play 4 more matches this season, very different.

It sounds like he will play 4 more matches. Now one of those could well be against Arsenal or it could be from GW35. One things for sure, Costa definitely isn't out for the season as some people thought earlier in the week

    A - Hazard (Qpr A )
    B - Kane (Villa H )

Ohhh, I hadn't considered that! And he was one who would HAVE to go in next week, then the two Liverpool players in gw34.

The alternative is a Liverpool midfielder and Remy, which would be easier as Remy would go in next week for Giroud (the team I outlined here includes giroud having a blank in gw33!) I might make this move if there is more certain news on Costa next week.

                    Thanks for pointing this out!

that costa news is probably the worst of both worlds sadly.

Might have to get Fabregas as 3rd chelsea after all

All true, but if he can get sharp and firing, I wouldn't be surprised if he outscores everyone until the end of the season. I'm waiting to see, may do Aguero to Sturridge GW 34 if he convinces me.

agreed.. especially when you have 3 explosive mids (Hendo/Couts/Sterling) at so much cheaper

I don't think any of those 3 have the same explosive potential as an on form Sturridge

It's the on form bit that is the problem

              @beavis & Ludo

Giroud is the obvious choice but if with a wc it seems odd to keep Kun and Kane (and I'll want 3 Arsenal in 35 meaning I need 2 on wc)

If I got Sturridge and Remy (and benched Ozil)) I COULD potentially sell Remy for Giroud in GW35

                Fair enough!

Not sure if you necessarily need three Arsenal as soon as GW35 though. Plenty of good fixtures that week...

Hull away is a decent fixture

So... If Mourinho telling truth, Costa is out for DGW.

              Loic, welcome!

Think my head is straight at last re Costa. Going to pull the trigger on Remy, hold for the DGW34, then move on to Giroud.

I see Remy scoring at QPR, the 'old club' thing, and will at least get minutes if not a full start in DGW34.

              Thoughts?

S.Kuqi made a good point earlier:

"Costa has played competetive football 10mins in last 3 weeks.

Now he his facing 2 weeks rest / light training before gw34. Might get some minutes but can't see him starting either dgw games."

Likely my plan. I also have 2FT and a WC. I see Remy as at least a 2-game hold, then re-evaluate for WC based on any new news about Costa or based on playing time received in GW 32 & 33. I am still tinkering on Murray or Gomis instead though. I feel Remy could score more based on his team, but the other two are obviously more nailed on, and also are hot.

I think when you consider form over fixtures, and then even when you make secondary allowances for fixtures, Murray is the smarter choice. I'd rather go Murray and see what happens with Remy.. I think.

I think the QPR fixture could well settle many doubts about Remy, but it could also validate the doubters because if he doesn't deliver in that scenario.. he really doesn't look like a good prospect at all, especially if he ends up sharing pitch time with Drogba.

Why is there so much Sturridge love? Am I missing something? Obviously DGW but stats are hardly balling and always an injury worry.

I think it's more the thought he could do something

Hendo/Cout/Sterling all above Sturridge for me.

He has two games to get his match sharpness back before dgw and then...BANG! Huge point haul against wba and hull.

He's already had games to get his match fitness and hasn't got great returns though. Don't get me wrong he could explode this week and it would surprise nobody but as things stand it just seems like it's more nostalgia than actual justification.

Afternoon chaps. I need to bench one of PVA, Toby and Schlupp this week. Currently on Schlupp but Leicester may go back to five at the back this week and he could be OOP? Any thoughts?

Bench Sclupp. Toby is best bet for cs and Pva better pick in attacking wise

Nothing about sharing, just that "next week (i.e. this week) one of Loic or Didier will start" (i.e. Captain Obvious).
