@Ryan...I quite often post this for folk...If you arrived from Mars and knew nothing about footy then the only stat that you need for your midfield is touches in the box, it makes no sense for set piece picks but will make you a good team nonetheless...This season so far...

    http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/6425/

Just take the top four and a bench fodder...If you look back over the seasons the same applies...

Haha Navas. Navas is such a mockery. I loathe him.

Yeah he is...but as always with stats a little local knowledge is needed. The two most important players on that list are Zaha and Bolasie..their charge up there has been remarkable these last few weeks...Hence I picked Bolasie.

Its a handy simple view but like many on here we are capable of processing a little more than that. Any one stat on its own can be misleading, it will always be better to canvass a range of stats to get a good all round perspective

      1. Dr Dream

Yes it is simple...but it's what I said above. If you landed from Mars and knew nothing about football you could easily get away with that one stat, It happens year in and year out...

Do you think the knowledge of player ownership and captain percentages has spoilt the game a bit? It's good to know of course but I think it makes you play a bit more defensively.

Vardy's PPG over the last 6 six games is 5.83 and that includes 2 sub appearances. His PPG is 8 over the last 3.

Been doing some number crunching on Hazard ahead of tomorrow. Will post the full list of stats tomorrow, but here is a little taster for anyone around the forums at this time:

-In a total of 30 games this season, Hazard has only blanked (no goals or assists) in 12 games.

Which GK pairing would be the best for the remainder of the season?

Davis/Schmeichel - Would play Schmei GW 34 (DGW) and GW 38 (QPR)
Davis/Panti - Would play Panti GW 37 (DGW)

Davis has TOT GW 34, mci GW 38 and AVL GW 37

I think he will remain first-choice in the league from now till the end of the season, minus the odd rest. Same with Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal + Ospina.

Any assesment will be done post-season, when Debuchy/Jenkinson, Gibbs and Gabriel will come into reckoning.

What do you mean by 'risk'? Risk of him coming on for a cameo?

Because if he does indeed remain first choice there is no risk, and if Debuchy replaces him then owners can just bench him and get rid when necessary

Your use of 'if' is what i mean by risk. Not worth the hassle when you have the choice of player who you know will 100% play. Proactive as opposed to reactive 😉

Yes, but my point is that there is no point getting rid 'incase' he loses his spot. Might as well keep him and see if he does. Hence there is no risk in holding him.

    Aguero, Kane, Giroud**

    Subs- Fabianski, Boyd, PVA**, Naughton**

Baines in for Rose and Murray for Giroud?
Bolasie on the radar now too.

Murray for Giroud appears a popular move. I wouldn't bet against a Spurs clean sheet next GW tho, given how poor we (newcastle) are atm so maybe the Rose move not worth it.

Here's the GW2 guy who's beating almost all of us GW1 starters. 🙂

Good luck, he's got all of the luck in the world this season. He knows pretty much nothing about football 😀

    Good morning DZ,

How nice to wake up to MASSIVE 10 points GW with 3 more to come from PVA.
What about you guys, how's you GW so far?

21 points. Seems like I got the captain choice right. But can't get over the fact that Gomis got injured after such a promising start to the game 🙁

I was so close to switch Kun to Gomis before his first price fall and have missed it by 2 minutes only 🙂
Who's your C? 21 points and right C? I'm assuming you picked Hazard (same here)
He could blank or even worse, blank + missed pen + red card hahha 😉

Morning. Keeping Benteke was a good move. Tomorrow I'm hoping Silva, Aguero and Hazard are quiet leaving Fellaini to finish the job

Yes, great move. I never got him but was surprised that many decided to drop him when he coverts over 40% of his chances lately! He is on fire!

      19. Kept the Sunderland defence double act one week too long 🙁 Clyne being benched was especially bad for me as my ML rivals had Alderwireld/Fonte. Still, I'm glad I kept Benteke, giving me a half decent score for now.

Bearing in mind I already have Silva & Bolasie which 2 transfers look the more appealing?

    Puncheon & Aguero
    or
    Yaya & Murray

Best punts for GW33, have 2FT

    Myhill
    Ivan Fonte Toby
    Haz Sanchez Mane Silva
    Aguero Kane Austin

    A) Sanchez > Yaya, Austin > Murray (3-4-3)
    B) Sanchez > Yaya, Boyd > Bolasie/Zaha (3-5-2)
    C) Sanchez > Bolaise/Zaha, Austin > Rooney (yes against Chelsea away)
    D) anyone thinking something else?

I say go big on Palace and get Murray and bolasie

Hmm. Could they do it again? I'm worried that Palace midfield are spreading the points between Bolaise Zaha and Puncheon. Pulis does seem incapable of sowing that defense up now, just doesn't have the players

If I can get the team I want with only a -8 for the DGW, should I use my WC?

Yes. When else are you going to use it? Week 37 is too late for maximum impact

-8 just seems too little for me to use my WC

    A. Baines (BUR)
    B.Bolasie (WBA)
    C. Aguero (WHU)
    D. Murray (WBA

D is very tempting but if it's only 1 I would have to say C. Too frightening to go without for a plum home fixture
