Because players like the mighty Philippe coutinho are much much better than him apparently

Dumb that they announce the decision before the end of the season.

But that probably means that voting was done when Aguero was injured and/or the first few games back from injury where he lost his form.

Similar case with Ronaldo Balon d'Or when voting was during the period he was scoring for fun and Messi was struggling.

    Or

    B). Sanchez, Giroud, Koscielny.

I'd be a little more cautious. 25 points is nothing but giving the opposition a 4 point start will give them a psychological advantage. Trekkers is on fire but no guarantees about starts for the Arsenal boys before the cup final

Narrow down to A or B, and I'd be biased towards B, but would like to know if Mourinho might give some regulars some rest (either a day off or a partial game). We may never get that specific level of info though. Sterling seems unable to finish, so if in doubt, lose him.

I have Hendo, Sterling and Skertl, and while an open Chelsea game may be just the opportunity for the Pool midfielders to score some goals, the disgust I have with Sterling and his poor finishing abilities is going to likely lead me to make a "made-trade" and sell him for my third Arsenal player.

I'm aware his top 10k ownership is like 80-90%. And top 10k (C) on him was about 15%.
So will non-captain owners see a relative rise or fall?

So, a question from someone who has only followed the EPL for the last few years. In American sports, once a team clinches a title and has no incentive to further win, the manager/coach often rests starters and gives younger players a chance to prove themselves and get some valuable playing time.

Does that happen in the EPL? Will Chelsea rest many of their starters to give others a chance to prove themselves or some good experience? And, if so, who would/could get rotated out?

    Thanks!

    1. Shifty
      • 12 Years
      10 years, 11 months ago

have a feeling Chelsea will continue starting with strong sides and play teams off the park like they did earlier in the season for the first 60min to shut the critics up and remind them that Chelsea hasn't always been boring this season.

Subs for younger players will be made thereafter.

Thanks Leaf and Shifty. This is very helpful.

Many of us have 3 expensive Chelsea players (e.g. Ivan, Fab, Haz), and that is a lot of money to be tied up in players who either may not be playing full-time or who may be rested.

I'd expect to see some younger/fringe players get given a chance but probably not against Liverpool, I think they'll be close to full strength.

Anyone expecting players like Terry, Ivanovic, and Hazard to suddenly be benched for the rest of the season will be sadly mistaken I feel.

It will happen but it will be hard to call completely.

Thanks Andy85. This is what I need to know. If this were baseball or American football or hockey, I'd have a better feel for what might happen next. This is why I am on this forum -- to find out from you all who have been following this league a lot longer than I have. Much appreciated.

Alexis, if you have the money and do not need it elsewhere, but tomorrow's match should give you more information on which to base this decision. I am in the same boat.

DGW decisions from 34 still causing problems.

Went Vardy+Fab instead of N'Doye+Terry. Was a 9 point loss that week which is fine, but also meant I didn't have Terry this week instead of Clyne.

Would have also made it a lot easier to get Benteke, Giroud, Sanchez as well.

No point dwelling on it, will just have to adapt with what I have but goes to show the knock on effect one decision can have.

Ok so Silva gets an assist, a booking and 3BAPs.

But Aguero, who scores the match winning goal and doesn't get booked only gets 2 BAPs...

    Logic??!

        Fair point I guess.

I'm only annoyed as I dropped Silva for Sterling's DGW (epic fail) but captained Kun.

i emailed FPL towers saying that it was a mistake I sold Myhill on WC and was going to play him this week against United for sure...so I should be given the 17 points and also get my WC refunded.

      Awaiting reply.
