Our latest ScoutCast episode is dedicated to the memory of long-time community member Simon Humber, aka “Absinthe”, who sadly passed away last week.

Granville, Jonty and myself pay our respects by going about our business – just as Absinthe would have wanted.

We overcome Granville’s late arrival to analyse Gameweek 36, while deflecting the latest bout of community posers that have us assess the likelihood of Chelsea rotation, run the rule over Arsenal assets and lament the demise of Sir Leighton Baines. We also take time out to reflect on our season’s biggest errors, while Granville is given the unenviable task of selecting the best Fantasy manager from Jonty and myself – like a sultry temptress choosing between a pair of doting admirers.

This episode was aired on Tuesday evening via the magic of Google Hangouts. You can witness Granville’s unceremonious crash landing in all its glory via the full fat YouTube version below. Alternatively, if you prefer your ScoutCast more refined, you’ll require the edited audio mp3 via this link or the first player below.

Don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel for alerts on new episodes and to get involved in the Hangout live discussion next week.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

        How are people fussing?

        People were waiting for news from Wenger and got it.

        There are budget issues and potential price rises to factor in as well.

    Boss on Welbeck: "He will play again this season. It's nothing major but he will be short for the weekend."

    This is interesting. Really think he will play against United or Sunderland and a rest be given to Giroud. Still looking at getting him [Giroud] in though

        Welbeck can easily play wide, especially if there's a doubt over Ramsey. There's no Arsenal player I'd rather have for DGW than Giroud.

      I'm torn. I shipped Cazorla out for Ozil a couple months back and it served me well, but Cazorla seems to be approaching some saucy form. It'll have to be a coin flip m8 or if the extra Cazorla funds might allow you to invest elsewhere.

    Hazard, Sanchez, Sterling, Henderson, Cork
    Aguero, Kane, Vardy

      Kane + Sterling -> Giroud + Ramsey is possible without a hit? If not, probably go for it. Dont get Billy Jones, i got him in my Jan wc and he is not totally nailed on. Try Oshea to get 180 minutes during DGW

  15. Pompel

    10 years, 7 months ago

    Ramsey not fit really complicates things, won't get him this GW as planned then. Have Giroud, choice is then between getting Arsenal midfielder now, or wait a week and have more information on who to partner with Sanchez:

    a) Sterling -> Cazorla/Øzil -4 pts

    b) Hazard -> Sanchez

    c) Hold, GW37 Hazard +Sterling -> Sanchez + Ramsey/Cazorla/Øzil

    1. Ruth_NZ

      If (a) is -4 then so must the others be, right?

      Sterling to Cazorla this week looks fine if no hit involved.

        Yes, -4 for all options. I'd do Sterling to Cazorla also for a hit I think - though I know you wouldn't approve of hits 😉

    Pantilimon, Krul
    Ivanovic, Zabaleta, Morgan, Bellerin, PvA
    Fabregas, Hazard, Henderson, Coutinho, Boyd
    Vardy, Aguero, Benteke

    A) Hazard + Henderson -> Sanchez + Cazorla (-4) yay or nay? (1 FT 3.4 in Bank atm)

    B) Play Pantilimon(eve) or Krul(WBA)? (I know Krul is the obvious choice but Newcastle are terrible atm Panti may give more save points)

    Does the news on Ramsey (my intended move for this week) make this move a good idea? I'm 0.1 off Sterling to Silva

    Skrtel & Sterling > Bellerin & Silva (-4)

    Panti
    Terry Skrtel McShane
    Sterling Hendo Sanchez Haz
    Giroud Vardy Kun

    Schmeichel Duff PvA Cambi

        Yeah. Cuts cuts cuts.

        I think if they drew a line from Nottingham upwards, the people would vote to not be part of England any longer. The disparity between North and South is huge. The issues that occur in my region are far and away and incomprehensible from the considerations voters have further south.

        To be honest, I don't think Labour would have done much good. It's all a much of a muchness really but the conservatives appear to be dismantling all forces and sectors.

            The views of peoples are strongly maligned to their experience of the world surrounding them - where they live. To say there isn't a strong link between the two is foolish at best.

          I've heard plenty of arrogant ****s spouting this rubbish. The truth is not a single party had a manifesto which appealed to me. Is one supposed to vote for someone they don't like? In any regard, my area always votes labour (at least since the 80s) and always will. Makes no difference.

    So, I had to get Ramsey in at the start of the week due to sterling's drop and his increase.

    If he's out... This means schlupp over Morgan has not only cost me about 18 points, but also now risks an injured Ramsey (as I could have afforded to wait if I'd had that extra 0.1).

    Funny how such a seemingly little decision can cost you so many delicious points!

      Only because there's so much knee-jerkiness around.

      People could just wait a week if they want Ramsey, he will very likely be back for DGW.
