Following yesterday’s rundown of the favoured midfielders for the final three Gameweeks of the season, our attention turns to the forwards who could make a late difference. Olivier Giroud holds off the strong challenge of Christian Benteke thanks to Arsenal’s double Gameweek 37, while Harry Kane’s stock continues to plummet ahead of a trip to Stoke.

Despite registering a third successive blank in Arsenal’s 3-1 win at Hull, Olivier Giroud keeps his place at the summit by virtue of the Gunners run-in (SWA, mun/SUN, WBA), which ranks as the strongest according to our Season Ticker. The French international has managed six shots from inside the box in his last four appearances, less than Sergio Aguero (15), Christian Benteke (11) and Harry Kane (eight), which is a concern, but with Arsene Wenger’s side in sparkling form, the 8.7-priced forward should get the service he needs to return to form over the final three Gameweeks.

With ten goals in his last eight league outings, it’s little surprise Christian Benteke leads the transfers this week with over 80,000 new Fantasy Premier League (FPL) owners. Aston Villa’s favourable fixtures (WHM, sot, BUR) also boost the Belgian’s prospects, so coming in at just 7.8 in FPL, Benteke may force a place into our transfer strategies, in spite of Arsenal’s double Gameweek 37 strengthening the Gunners’ case for our immediate attention.

One forward who looks entrenched in many of our three-man frontlines is Sergio Aguero. The Argentine has bagged five goals in his last four appearances, and is unsurprisingly the clear leader in this week’s Captain Poll, with 53% of the vote ahead of City’s home clash against QPR. With a trip to Swansea and a home encounter against Southampton to finish the season, the former Atletico Madrid striker is the firm favourite to secure this season’s Golden Boot, currently lying two goals ahead of his nearest challenger, Harry Kane.

Everton’s Romelu Lukaku jumps up our ladder thanks to the Toffees favourable run-in (SUN, whm, TOT). The 8.7-valued forward scored his ninth league goal of the season in the 3-2 defeat to Aston Villa last time out, and while his underlying stats aren’t very encouraging, having only managed three shots from inside the box in his last four matches, he could be worth some consideration as a differential, given the friendly schedule.

Harry Kane slips down to fifth in our latest update, having scored just once in his last five appearances. The Tottenham forward did register six goal attempts, two from inside the box in the 1-0 defeat to City, but with two of Spurs final three matches (sto, HUL, eve) on the road, it’s not surprising that over 21,000 FPL managers have transferred him out this week, seeing his price fall to 6.4.

Although he failed to register attacking points in Sunderland’s 2-1 win against Southampton, Connor Wickham remains a viable budget option for the final few weeks of the season. His prospects are boosted with the Black Cats playing four matches (eve, LEI/ars, che) in the final three weeks of the season, thanks to a double in Gameweek 37. It is a slight concern that the former Ipswich man was shifted to a position on the left of a front three against the Saints, with Danny Graham playing centrally, but with two goals in his last three starts, the 5.6-rated forward looks the strongest option if you want to invest in Sunderland attacking coverage for the double.

Following his brace against Newcastle, Leonardo Ulloa replaces Jamie Vardy as our preferred Leicester option. There isn’t much to choose between the pair, with Vardy having the slightest of edges in terms of shots inside the box with nine compared to eight for the Argentinian over the last four matches. With penalty duties in the locker and with Nigel Pearson’s side looking such a threat from set pieces in the last month, Ulloa gets the nod ahead of three more favourable fixtures (SOT, sun, QPR) for the Foxes.

Despite only scoring twice in his last seven league outings, Dame N’Doye remains on the Watchlist thanks to his impressive underlying stats. The 5.5-priced forward has managed nine shots from inside the box in his last four starts, and with Steve Bruce’s men fighting for their lives down at the bottom, the onus will be on the Senegal international in their final three matches (BUR, tot, MUN) to score the goals that will secure their Premier League status.

Southampton’s Graziano Pelle falls a couple of places this time around after again failing to find the net away from St Mary’s in the 2-1 defeat at Sunderland. His stats remain impressive, attempting ten shots from inside the box in his last four appearances, but with Ronald Koeman’s side stuttering towards the finishing line, there simply looks to be better options out there than the 7.5-valued Italian, particularly with two of the Saints final three encounters (lei, AVL, mci) on the road.

Having completed his seven-match ban, Newcastle’s Papiss Cisse creeps into our final spot. His selection here is something of a gamble, given he will be short of match fitness having not played since March 4 and only looks likely to feature on the bench this weekend after resuming training last week following treatment on a knee injury. With three favourable fixtures (WBA, qpr, WHM), remaining the Senegal international, who is now down to 5.2 in FPL, could be worth a punt given he has found the net 11 times in just 18 appearances this season.

Here are my thoughts on Ramsey, for whom it may concern. I feel like he'll be good to go on Monday. Nothing wrong with resting a player a little bit, especially if they have a knock. Plus, he's definitely one of their top players and is likely just being protected a bit for the run in to come. But, with the pesky likes of Walcott and Wilshere lurking about, that could spell some trouble. I would argue that no other Arsenal player besides Ramsey has been so in form as of late, so Wenger will want to lean on him when results are needed, so I feel good as an owner.

But are results really in desperation?

They for sure need him for the cup final and I think Arsenal can comfortably beat Swans without him.

I think the results are very important for sure for Arsenal. And, Swans ain't no pushover. Just the kind of team that could get one over on Arsenal.

Hardly "very" important. Not much difference in 2nd and 3rd in terms of importance

Besides, wenger obviously think wilshere, walcott, ros etc. Are good enough to beat a mid table side, with all the othet 10 keeping their place

OK, since you're getting so serious about it. If I were an Arsenal fan, I would want to finish as high as possible. If I were the manager or a player, it would be the same. There should be some integrity in there, and the spots aren't sown up quite yet anyways. Plus, I sense some of you are acting like Swansea are mincemeat. Man U after that. Could easily be a 6-point swing with the Reds if they aren't careful.

Ramsey is very good but its not like the team completely telies on him though. Im sure wenger can afford to rest him

I see your point for sure. I did mention in the original post that I could see others being shifted in. Wilshere did look pretty lively the other day, as did Walcott if I remember. As I joked in response to Spike below, I was half trying to convince myself as an owner (probably should have stipulated that from the onset). In all sincerity, though, I do believe Arsenal should be careful here to make sure they don't slip up, and Ramsey is their most form player at the moment (at least according to how I see it).

Cazorla likes to go on hot runs here and there. He could be a really good option. I know some people don't like the whole "due" theory, but if I were to apply it to any player in the Prem, he would be a real contender for mention. Actually half thinking of getting him in myself.

              Fair irrelevant stuff.

Do you think the nest chance of getting results is playing injured players?

Think about it for a minute.

Um, a lot of posts on this site could be determined to be "irrelevent", if you want to resort to that attitude. We're here to discuss the league/game. No need to get so judgemental on it. Read the first line of the original post. Just some thoughts I had on the matter. Should I just post a rate my team? This site is very much about discussing opinions and such. So simmer down there, chief.

                  Not at all.

Your saying Ramsey is there best player, they need second place, he has to play surely??

No. No, he really doesn't. Which makes all the conjecture irrelevant.

And yes we are here to discuss, my point disagrees with yours and you don't like it. That's just the way it goes sometimes chief.

If my conjecture is irrelevant, then yours is just as much. You seem to have trouble identifying that error in logic. But, I know you've tried to nag me before around here. I'll take it as a complement that you feel the need to do as much.

                      That doesn't make any sense.

Ramsey will play if he is fit. That is a fact.

Arsenal wanting 2nd, Ramsey being their form player etc will not get Ramsey on the pitch if he isn't fit.

So really my point if view is based on realistic fact.

You on the other hands are creating reasons why Wenger will play him even when not properly fit if that is indeed the case come Monday.

And to be honest I can never remember replying to one of your posts before. It is not nagging merely a point that doesn't agree with your Ramsey will play with one leg rhetoric.

I think the game is more important for Ramsey than it is for Arsenal being a Welsh lad and former Cardiff player, I'm sure Wenger can do without him but will give him every chance to be fit, sadly for us, some of that time to prove himself will be after 11.30am on Sat so you will need a sign tomorrow, Arsenal normally post training pictures on the site so that will be a good indication/clue.

What people need to consider also is that competition is fierce now at Arsenal in that midfield, you can bet Ramsey will do everything possible and play through the pain if he has to so he can keep his spot and not give Wilshere or Walcott a chance to play themselves into the team.

I think he will play, we will get some info tomorrow.

You are clearly a Ramsey owner. That's not to say he won't start but you don't really know any more than anyone else here so you're just speculating based on your position.

Yeah. I said as much. But, truthfully, he is in sparkling form at the moment. And, finishing second for Arsenal, I would think, should be a major aim. Mess around, and they could quickly find themselves in that oh-so-familiar 4th spot. And, what's so wrong with speculating. We all do it in this game.

Back training soon would suggest he hasn't trained.

Wenger is coming down with options who are (a) training and (b) needing a bit of game time.

They aren't exactly inferior options either.

        Why would he rush Ramsey?

        Ramsey pine at best.

      Ospina (Fabianski)
      Alderweireld - Jenkinson - Rose - (Moreno) - (Bertrand)
Fabregas - Hazard - Henderson - Boyd - (Ki Sung yueng)
      Aguero - Kane - Giroud

      1,7 itb

      I'm thinking to trade Fabregas+Kane => Cazorla+Benteke with a 4 points hit

Old School posted last night that he was really missing the slightly controversial Posters that have been sent on their way .
Surely there is a way that these highly entertaining ( most of the time ) can be encouraged to get back to the site ( with provisos of course)
Total sanitization and killing off of all the humour is not the way to go.

I understand this is a universal site , so it is a rather fine line , but think most on here can take a little humour at their expense . Are we really all that fragile that we need such protection at every turn.?

I hope not , but if so its one very sorry world

Depends who they are. The ones who just constantly look to troll with pointless and/or offensive posts I can live without - they just detract from the site. But others, JTD for example, I don't understand why he would be banned unless there is something I don't know about.

This. I have enjoyed JTDs banter over a couple of years and have never found him offensive.
Muppet Rage , found him infuriating at times with his overly passionate MU stance . A couple of others to should have been given the chance to repent.

Murderers serve a sentence and come back into society

Guess Im just asking do any of these entertaining guys get given the option to repent and return ?

Plenty happens off the site to get posters the chance to post. Once you go over a certain level, banning is the only outcome possible.

I would like to hear from Mark himself on this. I can't believe that he wants it to become 100% dry FPL related discussions. Surely, some non-FPL stuff (within reason) adds to the site? Obviously other sites go down the "Off topic forum" route to address this, whereas this doesn't work like a forum. It's a fine balance though.

He did have a quite lengthy post about why he wanted more FPL talk and less banter of other topics. Someone should have it bookmarked for sure.

Plenty of non FPL stuff is allowed on the site with very little discouraged. The T&C's address those topics. JTD isn't banned btw.

Ahh that is indeed good news TM. But why when all the talk of him being banned , did we not get this feedback ? or did I miss it ?

I think it is time Mark to clarify and expand again

One question - do banned posters get the option to return ? I dont recall 1 ever returning.

He was banned for a short time until things got cleared up.
Talking about banned posters isn't really warranted on the sites for many reasons.
Mark has made it very clear & 99.9% of posters understand.
There are T&C's and guidelines in place for example.
The option is up to the poster. Some posters are just beyond returning.

Good news. TM I have read many posts from many regulars that show they do not understand though. Many posters miss that post that got someone banned and I think it should be highlighted so all can move on.

I would like an answer though Can the banned ever repent and return ?

Understood, but the math is simple.

When someone becomes too much work for the site administration, many of whom "work" on a volunteer basis as moderators, they're ejected.

Those who are more colorful are often close to the edge of appropriateness and shrug off warnings from site moderation to tone things down.

I don't think they take these bans lightly or enjoy them in any fashion. There's plenty that is allowed to fly about here and the admin tries to keep the site as free and open to all, of all ages and experiences with fantasy football.

It isn't like anyone has been banned for a first time offense. Folks get warnings. Those who were banned made choices too; of which they were informed there would be consequences.

You are probably correct . I seemed to have missed many a controversial post when a certain ,member was banned,

I do though think that it would help if one of the Mods posted a statement at the time informing all that so and so has been ejected and for what reason so we can all move on. As it is most are left wondering .

Whatever the site is out to achieve posters here do form bonds with many other posters and it seems only fair that they be informed when one of their mates is given the boot , no ?

Not sure we need announcements. The reason is always breaking T&C's on a continuous basis. If the poster is controversial, make sure you get their email address in advance.

Hi chaps - as a Birmingham fan it pains me to say this, but Villa are playing the best they have in a long time and look like scoring a few in their last three.

      Current team for GW36:

      Myhill
      Ivan | Terry | Bellerin
      Haz | Sanch | Sterling | Cambiasso
      Kane | Vardy | Kun

      Schmeichel | Skrtel | Hendo | Duff

      0.8 ITB

Thinking about either of the following:

Vardy + Sterling > Tekkers + Grealish (free)

      OR

Vardy + Ivan > Tekkers + Dawson (free)

Yay or nay? Any better ways of shoehorning Tekkers in?

Maybe the bottom one with PVA instead of Dawson ready for his DGW37? I don't think Ivan's worth the money now Chelsea have the title wrapped up.

Saying that, Grealish would be the ultimate differential!

      HELP me decide lads..

Looks like keeping budget in mind, all of it comes down to who will score the most among these two for my team..

      GW36 : Giroud+Ozil.........................................Giroud + Sanchez
      GW37 : Ozil+Giroud©+Ramsey+Skrtel........Giroud+Sanchez©+Kosc
      GW38 : Ozil+Giroud ©+Ramsey+Skrtel.......Giroud+Sanchez©+Kosc

Right one if I opt for Sanchez this week, left one if I opt for Oz.
      Ramsey can be Caz too..
